Sautéing the potatoes can quickly put you back in Swampland. Having SAID that, if you wanted to do “low fat fried potatoes”, use a high SatFat oil (which you suggested) and leave the potatoes in large wedges. Surface area determines fat content.
I air fry potato wedges and can get crispy results with 1/4 tbsp of coconut oil for 3 medium potatoes. that works out to be less than 10% of total calories from fat for the meal, and all the fat is easily oxidized MCT that don't trigger the Randle cycle.
So as I have gathered from your videos is that the metabolism of obese people leans towards burning fat over carbohydrates, due to this the metabolism never really "ignites" properly and overall less fat is burned. Is there a way to shortcut this and have the obese person release just as much energy they would be if they were a lean person?
awesome info, thanks. this whole nad h and nad + thing is crazy to me, even looking at blue zones that feast nose to tail but eat a ton of sweet potatoes and such day to day. Could i eat lean protein alongside the potato hack or would that interfere and make me store glucose as fat? Or could i consume an essential amino blend?
Ha! It’s funny you say that. I was just thinking about a video called “saturated fat does nothing”. My guess is they tolerate it just fine. It’s pretty inert.
@@fireinabottle3410 Do you believe saturated fat doesn't contribute to the "swamp land". Meaning one could add butter to the potato hack and achieve similar results??
There is a lot of good research on nicotinamide riboside, but it’s expensive. NMN is similar. Niacinamide is the budget option which has good evidence that it works. Niacinamide is a favorite of Georgi Dinkov.
Oxygen! This is not a joke, you have to support hemoglobin to give oxygen to tissue, the simplest way is to elevate CO2 by less breathing, avoid mouth breathing.
You should also look at Endocrine Disruptor Chemicals. They disrupt glucose metabolism.
Well I didn’t understand any of this but I’m just gonna cycle the potato diet with fat fasts and see what happens
Lol same
The Potato Hack diet recommends not using fat. Do you think roasting or sauteeing the potatoes in tallow or ghee would still cause weight loss?
keep the fat under 10% of total calories consumed then yes
Yeah just keep your calories....low

Swampland. Just do the hack as prescribed. It works.

Does it work because of the Randle Cycle and because fat is very low , we are able to metabolize glucose very well.
Yes…. Because insulin suppresses fat release.
@@fireinabottle3410 Thanks 🙏🏻

I wonder how a very strict low fat dieter would handle a 75g heavy whipping cream tolerance test.

@@Bakamojo butter with the potato hack would make it sooo much easier to do lol
Diarrhea! 😂
is there a nad+ supplement that could jump start the metabolism and help this process along?
