    Sooo. Dr. Goldhammer, recommends little to no fruits until your A1C is at 5.5. Would you at Mastering Diabetes agree with that recommendation or something else different? His concern might be Insulin Resistant.

    I think this institution is wonderful and I agree with almost everything but I can't always afford to buy organic and even find that some of the organic is tasteless so yes I will add a small amount of pink salt not to the cooking of the item just when I taste it first and it is devoid of any normal flavor and only enough to make it tolerable never with salads or raw items. I figure I would rather do that then not get in my daily veggies.

      I'm 65, and weirdly, even though I was overweight, I was always cold. Since ketovore, I've lost 30 pounds, but also dropped my temperature in my home from 74-75 to 68-70, especially at night. This has made a difference in my heating bill. I realized I needed this when I kept kicking off the blankets I used to sleep with. More money for grass fed beef. Less for heat. Also, buying more meat (and freezing it) and less veggies (which tend to go bad in my fridge), I've had less waste.

    I gotta say, I'm a little shocked Dr. Goldhamer puts wild caught Norwegian salmon on the same par as American McDonald's.
    I mean if we catch and cook the salmon ourselves where is the processing? Is sushi processed?

    • @Kevin-mz2cx
      @Kevin-mz2cx Год назад +1

      Salmon is excluded because it is an animal product. Mastering Diabetes excludes too, salmon in diet increases insulin resistance. Hamburgers are an animal product and processed, bun is highly processed flour, sugar, added salt. See both their websites, more great info. makes no sense that meat & fish are cut out, fasting with a carnivore diet or even keto makes a hell of a lot more sense after watching countless researchers and doctors on both sides of the fence. too many guys like this touting the plant only diet.
