There are seven gramatical cases; at lest 4 tenses that also mostly devide to perfect and imperfect aspects; 3-4 conjugations; a lot of prefixes; and much more stuff that I am too stupid to be aware of. All of this makes Polish flexical, and allows the language to economically shorten its sentences because single words contain just enough information -- it's a tendency to drop pre-verbal pronouns because these are already in the verbs -- you could say 'Ja jem' but also 'Jem' and it would have the exact same meaning; it's in common speach, and usually people use pre-verbal pronouns if they want to emphasize on something, as it has more emotional load to it.
