I really enjoyed this episode. I am a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo, and actually have a topical collection of martial arts on stamps for that reason. I have several of the stamps you showed in my collection.

Oh excellent! A black belt collecting martial arts stamps, (I wonder if that gives you a black belt in philately as well...hmm)... I loved learning about Taekwondo while making this video, really cool! Thanks for watching Joan :)

The last stamp talked about was clearly modeled after the picture. You can have one or two coincidences but not that many. And the belt is strictly the same. That alone shows the picture was a clear reference for the artist. It simply can't be otherwise.

I have to agree with you... its just way too close. The shadows on the pants make it clear to me, the more I think about it, the more I think you are correct.

I'm thinking it was laziness, as if the British artist just 'googled' Taekwondo kick and drew the best looking kick that came up.

Your turkish taekwondo stamps are from Northern Cyprus / Turkish Cyprus (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus / Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti)

Graham, nice video. It could be a coincidence, or it could be copying the stamp. I would vouge for "cpying of the stamp", but go figure. David

The artist definitely used that photo for reference or photo manipulation. My guess is it was on purpose for a little inside joke between him and whoever he told. I think it's funny and I want that stamp. haha

I think you might be right. If you can get that stamp then definitely hunt it down...The story behind it makes it a must have :)
