Happened to me when I was at EY. The most horrible experience till date. It was a torture, but then I decided my priorities and took a permanent WFH job in a mid size company and enjoying my stressfree life now. I am glad I resigned from EY.
My current company is Damco solutions pvt ltd, its in Faridabad and Noida. They outsource talent to US based companies. Good part is that they do not call to office.
1) Never bother too much or else it will take a toll on your mental health 2) If anyone is toxic then limit your communication with them 3) After office hours rush to your home / room and relax. 4) stay away from office politics like talking behind someone about others 5) Never lend any money to anyone in office... If you give then give it as charity, free money not expecting it back.
Thanks for sharing your insights, I have been working since 2007, I feel that such petty politics is more prevalent in Tier 3 and Tier 2 firms, where people are growing by the virtue of politics than meritocracy. Leadership plays an important role to make sure there is equity in growth for every deserving person in the team while laggards are put on improvement programs. But very aptly put your company is not your family, your teammates are rarely your true friends, be careful before you trust anyone.
What you said is true. Never share your salary with your colleagues. Even my dad said this. In fact we should also not reveal our salaries to relatives because some people become very judgemental. We can share it with trustworthy people like close friends but it's better to be cautious in matters like these😅
this guy and your dad are right for their generation but not right now. Only companies benefit when employees don't share their salaries. Companies want profits, so they will try to pay you as low as possible. How else would you know if you are being paid your worth in the market ? How do you know company is not underpaying you? Why are you assuming you the one being paid the most among your colleagues ? There's a possibility that you might be least paid, right ? If you and your colleagues had shared their salaries you could get hike or atleast start preparing to move to another company. This guy just gave one example and just decided to never share. Where does he even get these stories? How do you know he's not making them up?

Some employees complained to the new management that though they were more competent, others less competent got more revised salary and demanded that they should get that amount at least. New management said "you can leave if you disagree". So due to this mismanagement of people knowing each other's new salaries on a huge scale, productivity dropped for a few weeks and then some people resigned and left. After fresh recruits came things started to move towards stability.
sir i want to share my feelings .... me apne friend ko sab kuch bata hu apne dreams and apni salary sab kuch but when i asked him about his salary he said sorry its confidential , dekho sir esee bhi dost hote hein yaha ess duniya me. mera mu hi sukh gaya jab usne esa bola.
Mene ese hi kiya mera room partner 9.5 lpa kma rha tha, uska mene 10 btaya jabki 16 h, mene usko apni salary uske last working day p btaya... uska munh latak gya tha😂😂😂😂
@@bejeet i worked for grazitti, there was a senior guy, who micromanaged me and then complained to hr, just because i opened up linkedin to update the person to whom which i referred her, actually the company had the product searchunify(you can say its department) which i worked for and also has its clients in another department. Also i heard that some collegaues gossiped about my work.

As role was non technical, i research and discuss with frnds and started learning DevOps from scratch. It took 3 yrs including 2 times hospitalisation. I gained CKA, Azure devops certs. Now what should I do? Should i apply as fresher for devops role or should i bluff as experienced? Please guide.
