But currently, my role is 10% tech and 90%manager. My thought process is, that replacement is easy for the managerial role but replacement of a techie is a bit difficult. So doesn't matter how much you have exp 15 or 20 years, stick to the technical work and keep your hands dirty in coding. In layoffs only two kind of roles get fired 1. managers who are just managing projects (like managing cost, time, risk , budget , ) 2. folks with poor skills or having less experience 2. Everyone is talking about getting laidoff becuase of techology trends, no one is talking about the fact compay do lay you off if you are not fit. I have around 17 years of experience. My skills were my job security.

It's not about introverts can't be managers, they can be good managers if they are "interested" in managing people (let it be clients or teams) and willing to do justice to that role. As you said, those roles added fuel to your fire ,make you feel "passionate" but The thing is what about people who may have the best communication skills but don't have an inclination or "interest" in managerial or lead roles.. The main problem specially in India is you will be kind of "forced" to pick up those roles after merely 10 years of experience, some people may be fine with team member roles with salary as per it in the long run because their priorities are different and they are not keen in management roles. What do they do?

Summary: be an expert in your core technology and explore around it then nobody can snatch your job even till the age of 50.
@@gyanaavaibhavI have heard that hardware engineers don't face ageism like software engineers, rather experienced HWE are valued more even in their 50s..is it true?
Companies see cost, if they can get people younger to learn from you for negligible salary then you won't be needed
I am 35, laid off recently after working in one company for 11 years. I am Salesforce Admin, not able to find a new job cause the new company expect Admin to have Developer skillset aswell. Its nightmare for mature grown up man with family to live without Job.

I worked in IT for 44 years since 1978 in technical area. I did not want to go into management. I retired at age 70 but I was bored in few months so I applied for job and found a good job in IT within a month. I am 72 and still enjoying working in IT doing hands on technical work.
In india?
You must be a foreigner as average Indian works from grave at this age

Everyone is talking about getting laidoff becuase of techology trends, no one is talking about the fact compay do lay you off if you are not fit. I have around 17 years of experience. I got seriously ill and was out of work (sick leaves) for 4 month, after recovery when i joined back I was removed from the project looking at risk, HR gave me 1 month to find another project, I found one joined that project but after one month of joinging new project put my resignation out of self respect I got 3 offers from other companies, hence point to learn is always love your job but never love your company and go into comfot zone you never know when your company will stop loving you. My skills were my job security.
but sir as you mentioned 17 years of experienced so I think you have make a good fortune in these last 17 years even if you retire in next 4-5 years you can still live happily because it engineers earn good amount of money
This is one of the best podcast in your channel. Really helpful
Like amazing the podcast❤❤ Bhaiya🎉🎉

The Mind blowing brushes session is absolutely fine work by both of you...thanks a lot for this podcast❤
too much of mind blowing on social media 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Following you both... amazing and favourite RUclipsr🎉🎉🎉
this CarrerTalk guy simply speaking same , trivial & commonsense thing with different words and in different Podcast. I think he is planning to retire and want to create some alternate income source. After some days he will come up with online training, coaching class etc. I am doing what is comfortable to me & not putting extra effort, still surviving in the industry more than 17 years. Guys don't take stress, just keep enjoying your work, Save and invest wisely.
Working in outsourcing in not a career. Always homegrown companies or a product based company who makes real products and not just software products.
Lovely podcast Lovely topic Lovely guest 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤

Sir aap jo bol rahe hain we know all these gyans, but how to implement practially you should share and guide.
IT careers cease to exist after 40. Thats the reality. Talking of learning and being flexible is non sense. Its like telling Sachin Tendulkar to adapt to play till 60s.
A very insightful talk. Thanks for sharing!

many people will say makw another source of income but in reality its not possible for everyone.
I would say start investing and consult with financial advisor to plan your journey.
Believe me that will give you confidence.
Anand Sir such great motivator
Young people please note that this is his experience not yours. In software industry working environment is very different between a foreign company and Indian company, product company and project based company, small company and large company. One example I can share. Two people from ISC banagalre joined 2 different companies. One worked with an MNC for a huge packet. Other one workd with Infosys for not so much. After 2 years they compared their financial condition. MNC guy was surprised that infy guy has made lot more. How? cause infy huy was in US for 18 months 🤣🤣.

Who cares. Life throws different challlenges to everyone. 40 or 20 , life is a challenge. And, job means no security, If someone haven't able to achieve atleast something till the age of 35 , life is almost destroyed. Acceptance of that truth is the only solution.
I did Java in 2000 , I had lots of expectation to get good job, but unfortunately no job in market even small company didn't hire me. I was expert in EJB , RMI, JAVA SERVLET and JSP .
Have you given any interview?

Hardwork leads to more work. Keep relevant skills, old skills work experience pays garbage.
I don’t speak Hindi, but Indians complaining about layoffs is rich. Just underbid your next job, that’s what you do.
We don't do that we just work on low money because we are paid even lower money in India. We make only 200-300 usd for 3 years experience as Developer for 8 years experience 1000-2000 usd a month which are very low so Indians don't underbid but we think that amount as too much. Every Indians eat only 3 bread a day.
I switched to IT from private accounting job around 5 years ago.. fortunate to moved into this field as I am getting remote work, weekend off, festival off 28 yearly leaves and not more then 3 hours job daily.. i am 36 currently and Yes I explore in Market 3 4 times in a year just to test my skills... I am on functional side and the greatest skills if you ask me to rate myself is my communication skills.
Bhai.. How you moved from accounting to IT. I am 26 year old with 4 year gap. What should I do
