Lord Traci I could listen to your accent for hours! I love your videos, you have a knack for teaching and demonstrating which make your videos so much fun. Thank you for taking the time to make these.❤❤❤
So glad to find this video this morning. I have never been much on watching videos of sewing. I have been sewing and selling for many years. But, I had been collecting denim jackets, lace tablecloths and curtains, etc. With the idea of upcycling clothing. I'd pin things on to fabric and then change my mind, feeling like I didn't really know what I was doing. So at long last I decided to sell most of my supplies. I am talking jewelry, lace (everything under the sun), jackets, beads, leather, suede, etc. But, once I had most of it sorted and together, I decided to give one last try at a Boho purse. I searched You tube and found your video on the romantic, lace purse. You explain everything so well, you are pleasant to listen to, even your nails are pretty and yet not distracting. I have since created to purses based on 2 of your videos. I decided I am not going to sell my supplies after all. You have inspired me to let my creativity flow. Stop second guessing myself. I look forward to your video's, and I watch them multiple times. Thanks so much for all you are teaching us.
Omgosh, thank you so much for reaching out, for the kind words and for your story! I'm so glad you are going to give it a shot! Sounds like you have everything you need to make a go of it ie: a collection of supplies and sewing skills! Fear and doubt can be such a a road block to success, Im so happy you worked through it and are moving forward. Best of luck! Hi! I have videos where I just cut the bottoms off and let them fray. Also, I have cut the sides of jeans and re sew them closed with seams on the outside🤗💕💕💕
I love your videos! You are literally the only person I have found on RUclips that makes the explanations easy to follow, plus your creations are simply gorgeous! Thanks so much
You have no idea how much you have inspired me!!! I’ve gathered all my hodgepodge laces and misc. clothing that was destined for the goodwill bag. They are all in their own baskets for me to start on. There’s NO end to the creativity this is sparking.
Oh my gosh, I have watched you do this multiple times but when you use your index finger to push/hold your material as it heads to the needle it gives me PTSD. A handful of years back, I was fixing a top and doing the same thing - used my finger to push/hold the material but unfortunately for me I ran the needle through my index finger. All the way through!! It was surreal when I had to back the needle out. I'm sure for me it is just because I'm an inexperienced sewer but wow did it hurt! I have been binge watching your videos today. I have also made some unique pieces and I am truly inspired. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
I would love to make these and sell them. Traci, I have a question: When you made and sold items like these (or anything you can wear), how did you decide what size to make? Thanks so much for all the incredibly valuable information you give us. No one else on TY (I searched a lot of sewing tutorials) sews like you do. It is truly a unique and fun approach. Also, your presentation is soooo nice. I look forward to your videos and watch every one.....sometimes many times! Some of the best minutes of my day! Inspiring.
Thank you soooo much for the kind words! You asked a great question about sizes. My own experience has been that larger sizes sell best. 2X 3X probably sold best. Other sizes sell fine, too. Kinda depends what you find at the thrift store. Believe me, whatever size you list, someone will want it in a different size lol. Smalls were hardest to sell for me.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Same here! I watch all her stuff! I've used alot of her techniques on several things already! I already liked to sew & make gypsy style things but Tracey inspired me even more & I love to watch her so I can make new things!
@@tmyershandmade978 I would think as people got larger, there was less need for the smaller sizes. Another benefit to the large sizes (which I tend to buy) is that they are more flowy and comfortable. I live in a hot climate and don't want any top to cling to me.

Love watching all your videos- always liked to have clothing that was original/out of the ordinary. Would love to know if you made the pants on mannequin- they're so cute!
Traci, I absolutely love your work and your willingness to encourage and teach others. Thank you so so much for all your doing. I have a question about your hang tags. Do you have your business name printed anywhere on them when you order them from eBay, and do you think that's important? I have a small seamstress/alterations business and I'm starting to sell a few things in my shop that I actually ENJOY making, thanks to you!!!! But I want to present them in a professional way.
Hi there! Thank you so much for the kind words! I always signed my name in cursive, with a metallic gold paint pen at the bottom or where there was a gap. 💛💛💛 When I sold, people would often ask me if my creations were signed or if I would sign them. I listed them saying they had a signed hang tag. Hope that helps.😊
I haven't commented for while but I'm still watching your videos. I'm so impressed by your creativity. I do have a question-when you started selling how much inventory did you have or did you make things to order? Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi there! I started with one thing and posted on ebay. I sold as I created. I did custom orders for a couple years, then stopped doing customs with no exceptions.🥰🥰💞💞💞
Sorry I wrote this comment on another of your videos I just saw it but this is the right video "Hello, I really like everything you do. But I wanted to know, won't all those little or big pieces of lace that you leave unstitched break down at some point? Won't the points go away, for example, from washing or when you sit on them? I really love your videos and you know how many of this stuff i have without knowing what to do with it? Now... I know😅"
So cute Tracy, I’m going thrifting today so I’ll be looking for lace and trims. I’ve even bought clothes with beautiful trims and recycled them into something else. ❤❤Judy❤❤
It may take awhile, kinda playing catch up. That technique is pretty simple. You sew the doily where you want it on the outside of the garment. I like using a zig zag stitch. Then go on the inside and carefully cut the shirt fabric away, staying close to the stitch line. Hope that helps. 🤗💞💞💞
@@tmyershandmade978 thank you for your quick response .,,,will try it! I made a brooch yesterday as per your video. It turned out amazing! Love your tutorials
🧡💛💚💙💜 Just Beautiful !!!! I was hoping for something just like this, feminine, unique, ultra sexy !! Thanks again for all your wonderful tutorials Traci !!! 😍🥰😃
Absolutely adorable. Do you ever hem the area you cut in the front of the shrug, so when it is open it looks finished? I was wondering to if you would need to zig zag the bottom of the cami where you cut it to finish it and to keep it from fraying over time? I would only hand launder these type of pieces to keep them pristine. So, so pretty and girly. Love it.

Thank you so much 💞💞💞💞
Love watching all your videos- always liked to have clothing that was original/out of the ordinary. Would love to know if you made the pants on mannequin- they're so cute!
Thank you so much! The pants are from Amazon, I believe I have a link in the description 🥰😘💞
@@tmyershandmade978 Thank you!

Love it!!! Thanks.
Thank you!🤗💞💞💞💞
Traci, I absolutely love your work and your willingness to encourage and teach others.
I am making a top that is different than this but I just got so many ideas from what you have shown. You are amazing. Thanks!!
That's awesome!! Thank you so much!💖💖💖💖💖
More please! So much fun.
Thank you!🤍🤍🤍🤍

Thank you so much!!!🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Love it...❤🎉❤🎉❤😊
Thank you 🤗💕💕💕💕
I haven't commented for while but I'm still watching your videos.
Thanks for your response.
Maravilhosa como sempre 😍
Awww thank you so much 🤗❤❤❤❤
Love it!!! 😍💓
Thank you so much 💞💞💞💞
Me ha encantado!!!❤❤❤
Aww thank you 🤗💖💖💖💖
Sorry I wrote this comment on another of your videos I just saw it but this is the right video
"Hello, I really like everything you do. But I wanted to know, won't all those little or big pieces of lace that you leave unstitched break down at some point? Won't the points go away, for example, from washing or when you sit on them? I really love your videos and you know how many of this stuff i have without knowing what to do with it? Now... I know😅"
They fray, but I've never had any lace completely unravel. 🤗😘💕
Love it
So cute Tracy, I’m going thrifting today so I’ll be looking for lace and trims. I’ve even bought clothes with beautiful trims and recycled them into something else. ❤❤Judy❤❤
Love that!!! Have fun!💞💞💞💞💞💞
Gostei muito!!!😍

Traci can you show or make another video where you sew the doily on then do the cut out where you can see thru the doily. Thank you.
Aww love those Brooches! Have fun!🤗💞💞💞💞💞
🧡💛💚💙💜 Just Beautiful !!!! I was hoping for something just like this, feminine, unique, ultra sexy !! Thanks again for all your wonderful tutorials Traci !!! 😍🥰😃
Aww my pleasure! Thank you for being here and always putting a smile on my face!🤗😘💞
Love it.
You can finish edges however you want, for sure🤗💞🤗💞
Thanks
What about the inside of the seams when you sew on the lace around the outside. Is is still ruff cut?
Not sure what you mean.😊
Yes
I have that exact machine
add a white lace skirt and I would get married in it ❤
Yes!🥰🥰🥰🥰
With the doilies... How do you stop the cut lace parts of the doilies from stop fraying? My big concern thank you Anna
I let them fray, never have had an issue with them completely unraveling 🤗💖💖
Can a shirt decorated with lace like this be done on stretch fabric? I have a bunch of different t-shirt, tank tops style shirts.
I've done it on stretch fabrics🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@tmyershandmade978 Wonderful. Thanks
Where do you get all the laces
Thrift stores and ebay🤗💖💖
I have question when you cut those Dollie’s from crochet they did not fall apart
They don't fall apart🥰
How you get your cameral to get close up to your machine?
I have a clip on camera holder. Clips to the table and has a flexible neck.🥰🥰🥰🥰
