Missed to mention that Plywood is stronger than PVC. PVC can bend easily & is easily prone to wear and tear compared to plywood. 4mm plywood board is much stronger than 8mm pvc of same length.
I would suggest not to use PVC wherever the area is too large like an entry door, or ledges that is required to bear weight. However it is best to use PVC for small cabinet doors or trolleys where it is prone to fire or water (like bathroom, kitchen) . 👍 🙂

I'm using a sheet as an entry door in my outside garage. Simply hinged to the concrete wall. I live on the Island of Guam and I need a door to block out the rain and wind. Plywood doesn't last very long out here, so I have my fingers crossed - Just installed it an hour ago.

PVC is slightly ductile so it might bend a little

Summary: PVC isn't susceptible to moisture and termites whereas plywood is. Video says that PVC is also cheaper than plywood. That's not true in the USA. PVC sheet costs a lot more.

@@snacking5908 Home Depot's prices are pretty uniform. Searching HD for PVC board, 3 pieces of 3/4 in. x 9-1/4 in. x 8 ft. White PVC Trim goes for $155. That's just 3/8 of a full sheet of plywood. You can get a whole sheet of plywood (4'x8') for $65.
