This was such an epic experience and a super fun video to put together, I hope you all enjoy!
Fantastic work! Keep it tight and strong, bud!
Great job brother 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’ve certainly developed into a first rate RUclipsr! Thanks for a look at this amazing natural phenomenon, it certainly offers some amazing fishing and much of it right off of the beach.
Glad you liked the video!
Ryan that is an outstanding video! From the beach to the river, the drone footage, the turtles hatching, the river monster, just a fantastic video! You, Vik, Brooke and Aaron are my favorites. I love watching you and Aaron getting it done in the river.
Well done sir! Stay safe out there brother!
Thanks for watching Ed! Hope you’re doing well 🍻🍻🍻
First of all, Happy Veterans Weekend. Not sure if you’re a Marine, but if so, Happy Anniversary and Hoo Rah!
2nd. Cancer still sucks, especially if you have it in your throat. Back down to my pre-Florida Southern weight, or 50 pounds lighter. Got a trip planned for January for Chokoloskee/Everglade City and hooking up with a fraternity brother, Ward Michaels. At some point I want to meet you, shake your hand and thank you for all the videos you’ve posted. The last 4 months all I’ve done is lay on a couch and watch your, Justin Menendez and Salt Strong videos, and tried not to die. Thanks again for all the tips and videos!
Well done bro! This video was great through and through.
Thanks big dawg
Bro! Those hats are the worse! They broke my Costa’s!
Jesus Christ that thumbnail though 🥵
Spent a lot of time in photoshop making that bad boy 🤙🏼
@RyanMorie well, it's fire man! I clicked on it so fast haha.
I'm stoked for this video, I'm missing the mullet run this year so at least I have this to watch! Thanks
That was definitely a cool tarpon release from the young guy. Great video. Fresh mango on the beach!?! A girlfriend who likes fishing!!! That’s livin’ 😎
Would a sabiki rig work in this situation for bait?
Also out of all the fishing RUclipsrs out there, your video quality is top notch👌
They won’t eat a sabiki unfortunately! Thanks so much for watching!
What spinning rod were you using? I would definitely like to order them and what model
What two rods and reels were you using? Thanks for the video. My kid loves these.
Ryan, great snooks brother, but... Christina is still your best catch!!
Agreed!
The quantity and quality of fish in your region is impressive.
Great fishing.
Hugs from Brazil
I can tell by the drone footage @44:40 that this is in the Saint Lucie River, for those wondering, you’re welcome!
Those poor, unfortunate, very unlucky turtles. Talk about drawing the shitty end of the stick....multiple times in your first few hours of life. It seems like hatching during this season, during the daylight....is a real bummer of having a bad birthdate, AND birth time. LoL. As if having to navigate the dangers of the trip to the water in the broad daylight wasn't bad enough....but also getting blessed with the luck of your homecoming, entering the ocean for your first time ever.....actually happening smack-dab in the middle of one of the biggest surf feeding frenzies of the entire year, is seemingly even worse luck than a daylight hatching.
🤔🤔🤔Unless all the clouds of mullet, get all the predator fish completely, and ENTIRELY, keyed into eating mullet, and mullet only....which in turn actually benefits the baby turtles chances of surviving their entry?? 🤔🤔🤔
Can't wait until I can experience the run firsthand. Awesome!
35:37 I can't tell what type rod you are using with the live mullet. Is it a surfing rod?
That was a very good video, you may be on a learning curve with the new lens, but I thought it was great - good job. You have great talent and happy to see you doing things with Sport Fisherman 😀 🤙
I really appreciate you watching! 🍻🍻🍻
Hey man I just picked up a vr200 for mullet run I just need a rod to pair it up what’s your recommendation also what length
He's losing fish because either the hook is not sharp or sometimes in certain currents people can just surf the fish on top of the water all the way in to their net but and other currents when people are losing redone the mouth when they get within 15 feet of them on top of the water You need to stop doing that and keep the fish underwater because the current is different I'm not explain the whole geometry of it but basically yeah If you can't surf it all the way in and it's getting off for some reason and keep that fish underwater all the way to your net... Plus I left the video or what but it looks like he's going backwards drag on the current like he's got his pull the current's flowing from right to left and his pool is pointing more on the left side of your than the right if you know what I mean
.. That's like artificial firing upstream on you like a sucker would or a shed .. always keep your rod on fighting current not oppsite... Now don't come at me and say oh there's certain times when you want to go backwards on the current Yeah I know That's for advanced fisherman most people don't have a clue about why or how to do that So I'm not going to bring it up That's only like certain snacky Rocky situations for your dropping to certain holes real quick but yeah you lose fish because hey you're real isn't 3,000 or above and you can't keep the fish surface on top of the water all the way in b you just got to jig head hook that tip is Bent or doll and lastly you don't want to tighten your drag completely up unless the fish is just completely getting away from you and a crowd of people If it's in the mouth there's no reason to tighten your drag you want a little drag going in case he does dip down hard they use your drag to fight the fish not the bend in your paw unless there's a group of guys near you and you illegally hooked then you tighten that drag up and you rip it in as fast as you can
Incrível seu vídeo, simplesmente uma pescaria fantástica, parabéns 👏🏽🎣
Great video Ryan! What an epic mullet run. You caught some amazing fish. Too bad you weren’t able to get the keeper snook you wanted, but some beauties were caught.
Thanks for sharing!!!
I appreciate you watching!
Can you please tell me where in Florida are you fishing from and what month. Thank you.
Bom dia , qual é época que esses gigantes aparece ? Meu sonho pegar uns brutos desse !
Greetings coming from Indonesia, greetings strike and healthy greetings always
What size leader are you using? 40? And freelining correct?
Love the vibes doesn’t get much better awesome vid Ryan
Thanks my man!
@Ryanmorie what part of Florida do you normally fish?
Amazing video man
Where is this?? I wanna go fish
Một buổi thư giản rất thú vị ,cảm ơn Video của bạn ,làm cho tôi xem và học hỏi nhiều điều thú vị của con người và đất nước của bạn. Cảm ơn ,chúc sức khoẻ hạnh phúc!.
how do you have four weeks off work is this a new hippster thing ? just not to work
I may be bias in this opinion because that handsome fella that you fished with at the end was awesome, but genuinely speaking, this is the best video you've made start to finish, a freaking motion picture. That intro was 🔥🔥🔥 Awesome stuff bro!
You’re the man!
Hey Ryan what is the best time to go to Sebastian inlet, the bait been slow??
I caught my first snook a few days ago and it was 33 inches
Such cool tarpon and turtle footage you captured. I’d say it was worth abstinence from fishing.
People don't need Van Staal reels to do this. It's easy to get by with a spinning reel under $100, like a Okuma Epixor 55 (damn good reel for the money) and a decent 7-8ft rod around $150, like a Star Stellar Lite rod, with good 20lb braided line and 40lb fluorocarbon leader, all for around $300.
Snook catch and cook please.with a side of tarpon
Dude, great video!
Great vid, reminds me of the peanut bunker busting the surf when the blues & stripers are blitzing here up north. However, I have some obvious blatant observations...
1) As an owner of multiple Van Staal's & Zeebaas reels, the last thing I would do is leave them unattended 150 feet behind me when snagging bait.
2) The last reel I would use for fishing bait is a bail less reel.
3) Can't believe the amount of inconsiderate beach fisherman there are in Florida, especially that dopey woman. I can't believe those morons in the beginning of the vid who wouldn't let you walk the fish down the beach, casted in front of you and basically kept running after your leader when you hooked up.
4) Lastly, to prevent some of those jackasses from getting in your way, next time stand in the wash to reel in your fish, not the top of the beach. Your fishing an $800 waterproof reel for a reason, lol.
Man I was so worried that you and your girl Christine haven't seen her on your videos,,,,,,I'm 69 she gorgeous and you guys make perfect couple,,,,, keep tearing up the snooks
Bro I have never seen your channel but now I am a sub I've lived my whole life in Florida Cape Canaveral Merritt Island Cocoa area my father was the captain of Miss Cape Canaveral for at least 20 years and was a deckhand before that on the same boat or I should say tradewinds 5 was the original Miss Cape Canaveral going back to the 80s which is deep sea charters grouper all kinds red snapper mutton snapper mangrove snapper and so on pretty much grew up on that boat being able to go anytime I wanted and fishing the Indian and the Indian and banana rivers my whole life and obviously beach fishing. Your video brought back so many memories especially the snook me and my dad took a little fiberglass boat Sebastian inlet and Boynton inlet multiple times and absolutely killed it on snook and red drum. So many memories and your video really brought back those for that thank you. Catching massive red drum in the Indian and banana rivers and 40 inch snook out the inlets. Thank you for bringing back amazing memories for me with me and my friends to me and my father. The catching no snook on the beach brought back all the memories thank you so very much and I will continue to support your channel.
They call that size blue a tailor like tailor made to fit the frying pan! Come up to the jersey shore sometime LBI fall classic surf tournament 70th annual ! Runs from 8th Oct.-10 Dec.
STICKING HORRIBLE FISH that I don't even like using for bait because it makes my hands stink.
What a kook, having already caught a couple fish, this guy proceeds to hook another, then rubs it in his girl’s face and does not hand the rod to her, knowing she hasnt gotten bit yet. Smfh🤦♂️
Christina is well past the stage where I hand the rod off to her 🤣 These days when I try to hand the rod off she says: "No! I want to hook one myself!" Also, if you don't talk smack to your fishing buddies, they aren't fishing buddies (girl or guy)
Wishing you happiness in your life and in your next fishing trip!
Why don't you take home some of those big ones to eat,?
What size Van Staal and Rod is that Ryan? Love the videos man ❤ I saw you on Juno Beach Pier last summer but didn't get to catch up with you!
Gosto muito dessa pescaria aqui Brasil Búzios RJ 👍👍👍 também pesco Robalao aqui pescaria Sun real
Awesome video. How do you tie your treble hook on for snagging? I’ve seen Landshark have as many as three trebles on but I can’t figure out how y’all rig it. Thanks
1:40 well in Europa snaging is strictly forbiden, we put up to 3 hooks on the sistem, and there is waterball, or at least we call it like that, it is float which you can fill with water, so you fill it half, 3/4, so something like paternoster rig with this heavy float on the end, try this, only very very fresh bread on the hook and just pinch it on the hook, must be fluffy, they will eat it :-D
You should try the jig and drop technique..extremely effective in the sardine run in south africa and should work in this case
I'm sure you'd already know we call Blue Fish, Tailor in Australia and the small ones Chopper Taylor and yep they are savages 👍
What kinda rod you using brother ? I just bought a Shimano Saragossa 5000 and looking for a decent rod for it
Wow,
Your film shots where super National Geographic. Absolutely amazing.
Can you send me a setup like yours.
Awesome vid bro next February I going to Bonaire I never caught a big jack only gt but I’ll keeep on trying
High quality video. Thanks for sharing. Where is that beautiful beach?
Thanks Ryan! I have to hit a mullet run one of these days, I may try this spring if not next fall run! Watching this just makes me want to fish....FishOn....jimi
I would like to know, what knot are you using for your big poppers offshore? My name is Crisanto
Dude, that clip at the end of the video was absolutely sick. We need more like this. Great video good job.
I love this video bro. Can you name the spots/location where you went so I can try to do the same mullet run next year? It looks like so much fun.
Amazing video 👏👏👏
This is not only fishing it is also the nature documentary and amazing moments of super predators 👏👏👏
Why didn’t you give her the rod???
Man that looks like a great time lol Beach fishing sucks over here on the southwest coast of Florida.. Great video brother, God bless!
Hi what rod and reel combo do u use
Its like a norm in Florida they run up the Saint johns river in deland brings in the tarpon and snook all the way in fresh water
I have been bleesed to experience that fall mullet run several times near Melbourne, FL. when visiting friends there. It truly is a sight to behold and the fruit trees are loaded with ripe oranges, grapefruit, and lemons too. Will never forget that.
Crazy part about it is the stuff that you're using for bait taste better than anything you're catching off the beach.
what's the rod and reel setup?
Reel in the sand is crazy
Love your video's man
If I go to the Fort Lauderdale jetties next weekend would It still be going off
What part of Florida is this
could you share the spot?
That Was Some Crazy Epic Filming Ryan.🤗
What kind of of combo reel/rod and brand if fishing line are you using??
Van Staal VSX2 size 200
Rod is a custom 9' Thrasher blank 8106
Awesome video as always would love to more reel reviews maybe the penn spin fisher 7
I loved your long lense and drone footage. Thanks for making the effort to shre with us!!!
Pengalaman memancing yang luar biasa,,mantap 🎣👍👍
I went to Nascar in Texas and got to experience the mullet run.
just found your films great stuff great editing and flow
Did Victor laugh at this cook after catching video? 🤣
could you plz, tell me why you hook the bait in the underbelly? It clearly works, I saw that. BUUUUUUT, we Both know they don't live/swim the same. Is it just a presentation thing? Where I'm at in Florida, we do NOT do that.
The mullet will swim away from the weight slightly which seems to give it a more natural presentation while still keeping in close to the bottom. Definitely gets more bites than a nose hooked bait on the knocker rig.
Epic video production Ryan! I've met Aaron. He is a super nice guy that catches huge fish.
Thanks for watching my man!
That was awesome 👌. What part of Florida was this?
What size reel?
good video, could you wish me the beach?
Nice action! Never fished the mullet run...can you fish those huge surf blitzes on top water with poppers & spooks?
You definitely can! If you end up fooling a tarpon they unfortunately they almost always will throw a plug.
It’s a great presentation if there’s jacks around
We used cast nets at Navarre, we would eat the mullet. ❤
I need something like this ! sick
Dude what reel is that? That chrome/silver one
Van Staal 😊
Bro That was an amazing Video!!!!!! The drone footage was Awesome. Looks like So Much Fun. Thanks for Sharing.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! 🍻
Bro just a like and subscribe isn’t enough for this epic video… wish you the best ❤ and i hope some time to travel from Germany 🇩🇪 to you and fish together
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it 🍻
Well done and what a great first catch. !!
ryan how do you like the x2 staal?
Like to go fishing with u on the mullet run
Great vid! That's a cocktail blue. Snappers are the size of the mullet you were snagging.
Danggit! I blew it 😂
Ryan, the whole video was sick, but nothing beats those topwatwer eats! They are absolutely insane! Good stuff dude!!!
Topwater eats never get old!
What's the perfect rod for throwing those big mullet on a slip sinker? Length, power, line rating, etc.
I like a 9' heavy that can handle throwing a 3oz egg weight plus a big mullet.
Typically fish 40lb braid and 50-80lb leader.
My rods are customs built on Thrasher blanks. Models 8105 and 8106
Awesome Video Ryan.....I Absolute Love The Mullet Run!🤙🏿
Thanks for watching my man!
