Always quietly liked this one. It's such a departure from what they were usually doing up to this point and I dig its shamelessly 80s vibe. The riffing is spirited and the Host Segments are amusing (Dull Surprise!). This episode just delivers!
You know, in the comment section, we make fun of a lot of things. But one thing is not funny - helium addiction. Kathy Ireland’s helium addiction is a warning sign to us all. If you know somebody who is addicted to helium, please get them help. Thank you and good night. I’m little king trashmouth, and I approve this message.
God, her voice is killing me. Why would someone in the movie say her voice gives him a headache and the director not realize her voice might do the same thing to anyone watching the movie?
Yeah the voice, but also the nagging tone. Nagging isn’t the right word. It’s pouty and almost trying to sound like a little kid, but a kid that is confused about everything and won’t shut up about it.
I'm sorry, but she might have a tail, she might look like a bag lady with a serious drug habit, but Shank is kinda cute. Also she doesn't sound like a squeeze-toy getting pulled apart by a pack of dogs whenever she speaks.
Shank was played by the same actress as the General with the Eye patch. Lot of double roles in this movie, Like Gus' Girlfriend also plays Wanda's Aunt. Gus' professor friend plays Mr. Mahoney early in the film. I think there a few more, but I can't remember
Did a deep dive on Kathy Ireland because I recognized the name but had no idea who she is. She's one of the most famous models ever, and now is one of the richest women in the world, with a net worth of like $500 million. She's started so many different brands and done deals with so many different charities, it's insane. This was her first movie, but she was most famous for being featured in 13 consecutive issues of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and her 1989 cover was awarded "Greatest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover of All Time" during the 50th anniversary event. She's pretty active on Instagram, and at least seems to have a pretty normal voice now. Not sure if she faked the voice in the movie or actually sounded like this back then, but I'm guessing it's a bit fake to make her sound more "innocent" - it's incredibly annoying regardless.

I feel like I could of been duped into loving this movie had I seen it when I was 8 years old.
Only the genius of Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus could make me want to stop watching Kathy Ireland. It's impressive really.
Oh, it was simple: force you to actually hear her talk😂
The organ vending machine is an all-time fav invention exchange
I remember watching this on MTV when they were promoting the show on Comedy Central.
Around the same time The State was starting and Red Johnny and the Round Guy, right? I remember it too
"How am I supposed to enjoy the movie with these guys talking over it?"
Actual quote from mom's abusive boyfriend back in the 90s.
For most films it's the _only_ way to enjoy them 🤗
I forgive Kathy Ireland for this.
Kathy, your helium addiction is beginning to affect us all. 💚
Not that she needs the money, but with a voice like that, Kathy Ireland would have a real career in Vtubing.
Good to see this uploaded to YT again. Trashing Kathy Ireland is sooooo good!

I mean, it's not a GOOD film, but as MST3K films go, it's not bad.
That guy is Drake from Robot Wars!

I've started this episode numerous times, but I never get far. Her voice literally starts to make me angry.

Perfectly said.👍 That's EXACTLY what gets under my skin about it.
29:49 her clinginess is showing 😂
Hilarious classic 😂
After escaping the horrors of Return of the Living Dead, Thom Matthews headed underground.

Anyone else surprised to realize that Kathy Ireland is left-hande?
This is hands down my favorite episode.

One of many MST3K movies I saw before they got their hands on it. Cinemax would show this after midnight on the weekends.

42:00 So anyone here care to explain what the song refers to when they sang about Ms Ireland's "clover" and "blarney stone"? 🤪
Classic
"It's your helium addiction." 😅😅😅
This is based on a true story
Well, Kathy Ireland is a real person
