What a sweet truck. Feels like yesterday that I watched your videos of you picking it up and bringing it home, can't believe you've had it for 2 years. I agree that these are the best trucke ever, especially in TBI 350 form. Not the fastest engine ever but arguably the longest lasting and most reliable. My dad has a 1990 C1500 with the 350 that he has owned since new. That truck has over 670k mi on the original engine. It's never even had the valve covers off of it. It still runs great and doesnt burn a drop of oil (it leaks a little). He's been though probably 4 or 5 transmissions, he didn't help the longevity of the transmissions because he used to haul a lot of weight with it, hauling anyhere from 20 to 70 car batteries almost every day of its life. He worked it hard and she still lives on. I'm glad you're deciding to keep it, they don't make trucks like this anymore and as time goes on, clean ones are harder to find and are going up in price. Cherish it, maintain it, and it'll return the favor by lasting for decades and decades.
Best era of trucks. Modern and powerful enough to do what you need them to do. Simple to fix, reliable, not terrible on fuel. I like the GMT800, better transmission but you’ll pay for it in gas.

Beautiful truck, I remember the video with Waldo when you got it. I have 3 OBS trucks and I’m looking for one like yours for my next one. Just solid rigs
Haven't gotten through yet but make sure you get something like some fluid film sprayed on the frame to really keep the rust off every salt season. That truck is a beaut!
Owned the exact same truck (1995 based on the dash) in champagne beige. You can get 300K out of the transmission IF you religiously use your emergency (or parking) break before you put it in Park. The same goes for new trucks but I can attest to that statement with yours. Also, I work my trucks hard… trailer towing, off road use, etc.. That’s a good truck for sure.👍🏻
I have a 99 OBS. Vortec 350. I've had it since 2016.had 139k when I bought it. Has almost 202k on clock. Bed is getting little rough but I've done everything else along the way. Rebuilt transmission, front end parts, batterys, etc. Just a loyal unit my ol girl is. Michigan winters here are rough on her with how much salt they use. Just gonna keep on racking the miles up and keep doing my oil changes every 3k miles till she says I want to rest. Love these trucks. 3rd OBS I've owned
I had a 98 and loved it. The only downfall of the truck in my opinion is the lack of a 3rd door. Some of the 1500's came with them, but not the 2500's to my knowledge. When I got rid of mine it had 220,000 miles and it still ran flawlessly.
Regardless of whether you agree about this being the most reliable, it’s without a doubt one of the most reliable and simple vehicles to own. I would never sell her if I was you
I've had a 90 and a 94, and both were wonderful trucks. The 94 was a 454, way more power but it loved gas stations. I'm 6'3 and both were way comfy for me. Only needed maintenance and a few alternators, crappy years for alternators seems like.
Wow, have missed you! Still impressed with your skills. For someone with your skills, it would be silly to buy a new truck. Please keep the vids coming on the regular.
I would do the NV3500 manual swap when the 4L80 gives out. I have a 95 2door Yukon with the factory NV3500 with 250K, all original except clutch cylinder on bell housing. I love those steel wheels and the Laser Blue paint color on your truck. I get about 15-16 mpg with my Yukon.
I like em don't think they're the best ever built, but they're decent trucks that's for sure, probably one of best GM v8 trucks ever built. The one you have is in very good shape, it's worth keeping for sure. Good luck.

I learned to drive in it, and he let me borrow it to go to work one day in the late 90s. It was stolen and never found.
Next 2 were just 88 2wd reg cabs. Always loved the 700R4's deep 1st gear 😂
My 96 Tahoe had 325 k on it. Original exhaust, not any major repairs. Best vehicle.
I would never sell her if I was you
Just sold my 96 for 7500.00. I have three more I won't sell.
@ 7500 is a good chunk to bring in on an older rig. Don’t blame you for holding onto a few of them as GM wants us to buy $80k trucks
Great to see you back with a new vid!!
I have to agree, these have to be some of the best trucks ever produced. I personally have an 88 and I love it.
welcome back from australia
Rural Vermonter is my favorite RUclipsr
I am in love with the color 😊😊😊😊😊😁😁😁😍😍😍😍😍
Good luck.
I love the GMT400 platform. I still have my dads 95 RCLB 3500 454. Such a great truck
I own a 91 f250 with a 7.3 idi and a 2001 ram 1500 with the 5.9 magnum V8, The Ford is still being fixed but the ram has been pretty reliable and I plan to restore both cause I love em more than newer pickups.
Kool video. Not sure I'd agree on that being the best truck they ever built.
I kinda liked the 2014's-2017's
The other day i heard Frosty The Snowman was a bit pissed of at you and was throwing his balls at you. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Good to see you back. Enjoy the weekend young man. 👍👍👍
Man its been so cold, that truck is sweet, stay warm this weekend, or ski whatever haha Glad to watch another vid. Btw i looked under my Dads ten year old Suzuki and it didnt even have surface rust (North Carolina car), my 4 year old VTer is covered in surface rust already
Great to see Vermont again!! Truck is looking excellent. Being able to work on your own vehicle should be a right.
I own a 1997 Chev Cheyenne 1500 2wd 5l with 302k kms still driving it in Canada daily driver....blue in color loke thus one 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇨🇦
Please post more! You're my favorite RUclipsr
What a gorgeous truck! Congrats and under 100k miles is awesome
I have a 97 Yukon and I completely agree with you. Best vehicles ever made. I've also had to replace the blower motor and interior door handles on mine.
My family raced horses in the 90s. I remember these were very popular for towing trailers with back then.
