Honest excellent review. As fate would have it, I was at Cadillac dealer to purchase a CT6 for my wife. She looked at the car and was not impressed with the interior. We then notice a LS 500 and my wife is glancing at it. I asked my sales guy, what's the story on that Lexus. Thats a trade an 18 with 4500 miles, and loaded. We walk over, we get in and I get the look from my wife. I buy the car for 58k, and for the last 3 months she has raved about the car. We took a trip last week, and I can say honestly, that it is spectacular in every detail. It has to be driven, it just has something thats touches the soul.
I am so so happy you guys found out what makes this car special first hand. Massive congrats on that beautiful and stunning car I hope you enjoy it for many years!
I agree with your wife regarding the interior of the 2020 Cadillac CT6. I have one and I’ve said, ever since I test drive it, that it’s like a pretty girl with stinking breath. It’s a gorgeous car, but when you look inside, not so much. Very cheaply made. Especially for the price point and class.
Whoaaa that's incredible crazy coincidence and I really appreciate you reached out and commented my friend. Small world I love it when stuff like this happens 😆

Update Oct. 12, 2021: LS 500 still perfect and love more every day. Just hit 20,000 mi. Got her coated with that graphene-type clear coat, cars in traffic stop at lights and say the cleanest nicest one ever!
Great video again, tnx! Apart from engine and power, do you think that the ES 300 H is far behind in terms of comfort, noise and suspension on highway?
I keep forgetting to mention the G90 and it's my mistake but I swear to you the G90 is superior than this, the Audi, and the BMW 7 series. I kid you not it's as close as you can get to the S Class and even comes with an NA V8. Telling you it's fantastic, but it has ZERO prestige or value and you absolutely do not feel important driving it, but objectively as a car, it's superb.
So people are upset with you because you aren't being biased, I really don't understand that. But for me I think the Lexus looks really nice but it juet doesn't have the presence as the Mercedes S550 that just has a different feeling. But I like both, awesome video as always

Very true! I’ve driven and reviewed both and just lately driven the new 2020 BMW 740Li and the presence of that is insane! People stare from a mile away
2013-2017 is pretty amazing but a money pit if bought without a warranty. 2024 LS 500 F Sport is a pretty great driving car but I wouldn’t pay over $80k for it would just get the F Sport and ML Audio, would not bother getting the Dynamic Package with the Air Suspension def not worth that

I appreciate your review. That said, I didn’t see where you covered much about connectivity. Is it a 4G LTE hotspot? Does it have Apple CarPlay? Does it have lane departure assist? Things like that.
Recently you tried the new G90, how do you feel about this car, is it better than the G90 and is it still very competitive with it, especially in terms of driving and comfort, they always say Lexus is better than the competitors in driving and comfort
Yea very true I don't care something of that price is made in limited quantities or maybe not do any of that skip the TT V6 and just make the 5.0 V8 the only engine option for less than 100k haha 😄
Lexus needs to go back to the drawing board with the LS unfortunately. They made the ES look the same added to the fact that AWD will be an option soon. Less reasons to get an LS for double the price. Great review as always!
Beautiful Big Body Lexus the interior is very nice forgot what Lexus had the glass inside now that was a great luxury style something I never saw before
i never get tired of seeing this car , unique designs and no disco lights or any other non-sense interior wise just the look of a very fine expensive living room . Fun facts: this car has sensors that display arrows on the HUD whenever a car comes from a side in a intersection and ofc auto concierge for me a briliant feature you just need to sit on the car and the car adjusts to you not you to the car . for me a ttv6 with presedential package on a redish interior they offer . Last thing , i heard rumors this car can be getting a F model with a tt v8 ,we thought they canceled it but magazines in japan say the opposite , it may really happen as well as the LCF and an ISF
Same! And I totally agree it doesn't look like a night club inside just a nicely crafted interior. And I did hear rumors that they might be bringing back those F models you mentioned, I saw Kirk's vid on it
Haha 😄 yea ive been watching him for a while he commented on a few of my videos as well. He does a good job reporting news I appreciate what he's doing
@@drepark2294 I don't own or love Lexus enough to be a fanboy. I like a lot of their cars but Mercedes has always been one of my favorite car brands. I can recognize when they make mistakes and the exterior of the new S Class looks trash imo without the AMG front. They literally took the tail lights from the A Class, the cheapest car in their line up. Also, the interior looked much better in the last generation of S Classes. Im not a fan of big tablets looking like they've been glued to the dash.
@@drepark2294 Looks are an opinionated aspect, so of course I used the word "I." I don't need a lesson from some random on RUclips, I know how English works. Just because something is standard doesn't mean it looks good or works. Most cars nowadays have large oversized grills, doesn't mean people like them. Look at the hate BMW is getting.
I believe that's what Lexus wanted people to think, and it's fine I don't mind the fake engine noise in this car, but in the hybrid it is ridiculous and very loud. Thanks again my friend for watching
Yea I think if I were to get this car, this is almost exactly as how I would get it. This exact interior color is also available in the ES and RX as well
The only thing in this interior that sucks is the two empty trim buttons on the driver's left side. Like this is a Lexus, not a Camry, at the very least it should be covered up!
I really wish Lexus offered an LS short wheelbase version again, especially now that they've dropped the GS. People who do a lot of back seat people hauling are just going to buy an RX anyway.
Let’s first of all determine what an “infotainment” does Bluetooth and navigation.. that’s it. Some 15 year old cars will have these features. We need to come to the reality of what a car is and how we use it. When most people say a car is “outdated” it’s because the car probably doesn’t come with seizure lights. Every new car has Apple CarPlay aka everything you need so there’s no such thing as outdated
@@MeynMotorGroup ok well let me clear it up a little most of the other cars in this price line have touch screen ambient lighting on the inside which i don;t know if this one has or not. don't get me wrong i would buy this car over the others just on reliability, but I'm not seeing the remote start unless you have the Lexus app or the outside the car driven Does this car offer it?
Hey Kevin, was just wondering if there are any key differences between this one you tested and a 2018 fully loaded one? Did they make any valuable changes? Cause I am looking into getting one next year CPO to replace my 2014 es350
Yea a fully loaded 2018 and you should be good to go they have not made any mechanical enhancements but they did add Apple Carplay as standard in 2019 so perhaps check and see if a fully loaded 2018 has Apple Carplay if that matters to you. All they did for later years is either add a few safety features as standard or add some new trims or options. 2018 is a great pick especially fully loaded
@@MeynMotorGroup yea definitely, just going to avoid the hybrid lol. I have tested the 2015 LS460 fully loaded and loved it. Wanted to upgrade to that for cheaper but honestly this new one's interior alone has sold me lol
Yea the 2013-2017 LS460 is epic I do love it and all these cars are great especially if you can find them at a great deal but yes, this new LS500 interior really is second to none love it!
Minus the speed and handling the ES does everything the LS does and in some instances I’ve noticed the ES can be a tad bit quieter and a tad bit softer in ride quality… while getting 40 mpg in the ES300h model best daily for most people. I partnered up with a company known as LeaseCompanion and they even offer 4.5% off MSRP
Thing is: from an exterior design perspective, if we put a S Class Mercedes Benz side by side with the LS 500, one might thing the Lexus cost 1/2 the Mercedes price.
@@MeynMotorGroup V8’s are cool. Only disadvantages are the weight and fuel consumption from it but Sometimes they get gapped by twin turbo v6’s 🥶 plus in my opinion 6cyl turbos sound better.
I trust it but to be fair people buying cars like this don't care about reliability plenty of other things to fail on cars besides the engine that still cost a ton of money. And yea interior is def the best I've seen
Not in particular the LS 460 rides really well especially with air suspension so I would say both are about equal in ride this just drives better and is much faster
I actually think the LS460 is smoother than the LS500 however you can’t compare the handling where the LS460 almost feels like a boat. I did a review on the 460 and had a full cup of tea in it for half an hour and it didn’t spill with hard acceleration or even hard braking!
It lacks rear leg room compared to a 7 series. It's not just about the knee room. I have driven the 3.5 liter Naturally aspirated and the twin turbo versions. The 3.5 NA is much smoother.
I've only driven a 2011 Panamera but what I noticed is the Porsche Handles a bit better but the BMW rides a little nicer. I have driven a new Cayenne and I feel like they focused a bit more on refinement rather than driving dynamics. I hope this helped, sorry I don't have much access to Porsche vehicles in my area
The new LS honestly feels like a larger, beefed up GS with air suspension tbh. Was kind of let down when my mom got the LS500 because I was expecting more
The new LS is def superior to the GS but I was very disappointed with the hybrid. This car has a nice smooth flagship feel and the motor is pretty good as well. I would consider an LS 500 at the right price I do still think W222 S class is technically the best
Next generation cars won't even have an engine and everyone's going to clamor around this once that happens. Blame regulations but despite that they made this motor superior to the old V8
Johnson Lexus has the best customer service of any Lexus dealership I have been to. I do miss that about living in Cary. My local Lexus dealer now is TERRIBLE.
Hey thanks so much for stopping by my friend! So cool that you were in Cary and you're absolutely right, Johnson Lexus honestly has the best dealer experience for both buying and servicing I have seen in this area. I'm so sorry to hear that your new location is not as good, I thought really most Lexus dealers would be good as it's a car people are passionate about and I thought dealers would be the same. They messed up the looks big time for 2021 by changing the headlights to look like every other Lexus and sticking a tablet screen on the dash instead of having it integrated into the dash like this model. 2018-2020 ls looks better than the 2021 version for sure!

I've been looking all over for a K900 I do have a Kia dealership connect but they don't have any new or used. But which would you like to see new or used?
@@MeynMotorGroup New or used refreshed model. I'm interested in how pratical their blind spot cameras are, as well as, how comfortable the ride is and if it is able to isolate outside noise. Thank you.
i had the F sport the transmission was my only issue, it never knew what gear to be in. outside of that it was very nice. but i went back to Audi. I do agree that the speed is hidden, I use to do almost 90 by accident cause there was no feel at all. No offense bro but you cant compare the 2015 Audi A8 to a 2020 Lexus. Keep up the great work bro, dont worry about them haters
Yes Audi's are amazing and I only mentioned the 2015 A8 I drove because..that's the only A8 I've driven lol but I love the hyper smoothness of Audi and they are great. I realize there is an all new A8 that got revealed in 2019 but I got not access to new Audis lol. Some girl scouts in an Audi forum got pissy with me and I didn't care because they missed my other point that I made which is, even the ordinary Audis are still great and very comfortable. Your best review. Thanks Kevin, keep the pro LS reviews coming! I got a 19 Matador Red Panarama Roof $93k sticker, black leather. 15,050 miles; perfect. Love it! Thanks, Bob in Vero.
Update Oct. 12, 2021: LS 500 still perfect and love more every day. Just hit 20,000 mi. Got her coated with that graphene-type clear coat, cars in traffic stop at lights and say the cleanest nicest one ever!
I WANT!!! 😍
My guy never change keep 💯 it’s the reason why I subbed keep it up cheers
Thanks so much my friend Im just humbled to have your support!
Great video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks brother!
Great video again, tnx! Apart from engine and power, do you think that the ES 300 H is far behind in terms of comfort, noise and suspension on highway?
Honestly the ES has equal refinement to this LS but it doesnt handle as well and is no where near as fast but as a cruiser, the ES is unbelievable
That is such a beautiful car.
For sure!
How does this car compare to any of the genesis g90 models? (17-20) great vid fam
@@MeynMotorGroup damn fr? I'm a value type of guy so that's great news
For real yes
So people are upset with you because you aren't being biased, I really don't understand that. But for me I think the Lexus looks really nice but it juet doesn't have the presence as the Mercedes S550 that just has a different feeling. But I like both, awesome video as always
Yea I don't either brother but its ok having supporters like you is all that matters to me, this is RUclips so people from every walk of life including delusional ones will come across these vids 😆
Yea I def agree benz has the ultimate in swagger especially with that logo hanging off the hood haha. Thanks again brother for stopping by
Very true! I’ve driven and reviewed both and just lately driven the new 2020 BMW 740Li and the presence of that is insane! People stare from a mile away
Hi Kevin...just a quick question out of the 2007, 2013 and 2020 ls series which do u think is the best
2013-2017 is pretty amazing but a money pit if bought without a warranty. 2024 LS 500 F Sport is a pretty great driving car but I wouldn’t pay over $80k for it would just get the F Sport and ML Audio, would not bother getting the Dynamic Package with the Air Suspension def not worth that
@@MeynMotorGroup much appreciated...ive just imported a 2013 model from japan to uk with 45k on the clock... should be ok since the japanese have rigorous laws with regards to keeping cars in roadworthy condition...have a 2007 which had the faulty air shocks and melting dash so reason for upgrading was to be done away with the issue from the 07 model...id love to share some pics
I appreciate your review. That said, I didn’t see where you covered much about connectivity. Is it a 4G LTE hotspot? Does it have Apple CarPlay? Does it have lane departure assist? Things like that.
Great vid, would you pay the premium for the F Sport my brother? Pros, cons?
i'm going to try and review the F sport but I think it might be worth it
Recently you tried the new G90, how do you feel about this car, is it better than the G90 and is it still very competitive with it, especially in terms of driving and comfort, they always say Lexus is better than the competitors in driving and comfort

This will answer all of your burning questions 😊
@@MeynMotorGroup oh man, you are the best 🤍
Beautiful car. You think they will put the 5.0 V8 engine in this one?
Never lol but I think they might still be making an LS F with a TT V8
@@MeynMotorGroup Good lord I can only hope
Yea would be epic but the price will also be epic haha in a bad way wouldnt be surprised if it was 150k
@@MeynMotorGroup Thats when Lexus should in my humble opinion make limited edition just for those who can afford it.
Yo Kevin thanks for the quality content. How does the ride of your LC compare to the ride of the LC? Cheers
This looks to be a great vehicle. I would definitely enjoy owning one in Platinum w/Navy Blue interior.
Ohh that's a cool spec
Beautiful Big Body Lexus the interior is very nice forgot what Lexus had the glass inside now that was a great luxury style something I never saw before
Hey brother yea the Kiriko glass very expensive but it is nice haha
Exhaust Sports Auto Yes it is bro 💯
The LS has always been king!
i never get tired of seeing this car , unique designs and no disco lights or any other non-sense interior wise just the look of a very fine expensive living room .
And I did hear rumors that they might be bringing back those F models you mentioned, I saw Kirk's vid on it
@@MeynMotorGroup you watch kirk, you're a man of culture
Haha 😄 yea ive been watching him for a while he commented on a few of my videos as well. He does a good job reporting news I appreciate what he's doing
love it!
Its definitely nice
Love the LS500 as well. Great video
Thank you my friend! And yes it's great car for sure
Well, I think this generation looks better than the new S-Class 😬
Oh yea for sure haha
I don't lol. But everyone has their own opinion
@@amgvlogs5087 I actually saw the new S-Class with the AMG front and it looks miles better. The back is still really bad. Maybe it'll grow on me
@@drepark2294 I don't own or love Lexus enough to be a fanboy.
Before you mentioned fake noise I was thinking that turbo v6 sounded like my 4.3 v8 in my 04 LS.
I believe that's what Lexus wanted people to think, and it's fine I don't mind the fake engine noise in this car, but in the hybrid it is ridiculous and very loud. Thanks again my friend for watching
How does this compare top the LS460 you reviewed in terms of driving dynamics and size?🤔
They're different but as a whole I would say this is superior in pretty much every way and I guess that is to be expected
Great review
Thanks!
Gorgeous & luxurious looking LS.
agreed!
Normally not a big fan of tan interiors but it goes well with the brown, the suede door panels look really nice
Yea I think if I were to get this car, this is almost exactly as how I would get it. This exact interior color is also available in the ES and RX as well
Does the rear wind noise get reduced with the LWB models? They have dual paned windows on the back for those
There is no lwb for LS 500s
2:19 Statement of the year hands down! Love it
GREAT review. Thanks
Appreciate That!
The only thing in this interior that sucks is the two empty trim buttons on the driver's left side. Like this is a Lexus, not a Camry, at the very least it should be covered up!
I don’t care what anemone will say This LEXUS LS500 worth every penny
It really is
I really wish Lexus offered an LS short wheelbase version again, especially now that they've dropped the GS. People who do a lot of back seat people hauling are just going to buy an RX anyway.
so do you not think the infotainment center is outdated compared to the others in this class?
Let’s first of all determine what an “infotainment” does
Bluetooth and navigation..
@@MeynMotorGroup that's what I thought. Thanks man!
No worries test it out see if you like it F sport may also be worth looking into
@@MeynMotorGroup yea definitely, just going to avoid the hybrid lol.
Good review.
Appreciate that my friend
How does this ride compared es 350 ultra lux? Is it worth the extra $ from a refinement and quietness standpoint?
Nope, stick with the ES 300h Luxury trim or Ultra Luxury
@@MeynMotorGroup thank you for the reply!
@@MeynMotorGroup can you elaborate? I'm currently deciding between these two vehicles
Dude, amazing car. Love it
I agree! it is very nice!
Thing is: from an exterior design perspective, if we put a S Class Mercedes Benz side by side with the LS 500, one might thing the Lexus cost 1/2 the Mercedes price.
Even though the S class is just a slightly longer version of a $45,000 C class
We need this engine in the Lexus IS series! It Would make it a very impeccable car.
The IS got something much better.. a V8
@@MeynMotorGroup V8’s are cool. Only disadvantages are the weight and fuel consumption from it but Sometimes they get gapped by twin turbo v6’s 🥶 plus in my opinion 6cyl turbos sound better.
Not sure if a Lexus with a twin turbocharged V6 is going to as reliable as a naturally aspirated V8. Great interior though
I trust it but to be fair people buying cars like this don't care about reliability plenty of other things to fail on cars besides the engine that still cost a ton of money. And yea interior is def the best I've seen
Does it have a softer ride than the Lexus 460?
Not in particular the LS 460 rides really well especially with air suspension so I would say both are about equal in ride this just drives better and is much faster
I actually think the LS460 is smoother than the LS500 however you can’t compare the handling where the LS460 almost feels like a boat. I did a review on the 460 and had a full cup of tea in it for half an hour and it didn’t spill with hard acceleration or even hard braking!
Great video, great car
F-Sport My G!!! Thoughts on that with the rear steering!!
It lacks rear leg room compared to a 7 series. It's not just about the knee room. I have driven the 3.5 liter Naturally aspirated and the twin turbo versions. The 3.5 NA is much smoother.
I think this is enough room for most lol
The car just had a facelift. As well as interior lift. Good video though!
I’m ready to pull the plug and trade in my 17 Ls460 for one of these even though the V8 is no longer present .
how does the BMW 7 series drive experience compare to one of the Panamera models, in your opinion?
I've only driven a 2011 Panamera but what I noticed is the Porsche Handles a bit better but the BMW rides a little nicer.
I have driven a new Cayenne and I feel like they focused a bit more on refinement rather than driving dynamics. I hope this helped, sorry I don't have much access to Porsche vehicles in my area
Beautiful car but I don't see the turbocharged engine lasting as long as the prior LS models.
I drove the LS turbo 6. No way as smooth as the V8. BMW in-line 6 is way smoother than the Lexus V6
I disagree this is far superior to the old V8 but the BMW inline 6 is pretty good
Lexus is always better than MB especially in the used cars market
no, the only thing that Lexus does better than Mercedes is reliability. Every thing else is better about the S class
If the LS would just fix the damn infotainment and add more rear legroom, it would be perfect
I actually don't mind the infotainment, I just want them to fix the freaking windnoise that seems to plague every LS since the 460 first came out
@@MeynMotorGroup Damn there's even wind noise in 2013-17 LS? My LS430 UL has some wind noise but not too bad fr
Actually no the 2013-2017 LS was pretty good about wind noise mainly the 07-12 that had that issue LS 430 didn't have any wind noise problems
You have a new channel name??? No more exhaust sports auto?
The new LS honestly feels like a larger, beefed up GS with air suspension tbh. Was kind of let down when my mom got the LS500 because I was expecting more
The new LS is def superior to the GS but I was very disappointed with the hybrid. This car has a nice smooth flagship feel and the motor is pretty good as well. I would consider an LS 500 at the right price I do still think W222 S class is technically the best
Exhaust Sports Auto cant complain about the interior quality tho haha.
Yea interior is probably best in the game haha
@@MeynMotorGroup Dude have u seen the new S-class
ruclips.net/video/Gw6X3gD3MiA/видео.html
The LS by Lexus does not have a chance to be considered a King. Without a V8 in the LS
Regardless, I appreciate you for watching!
I don't see any physical parking sensors, does it have or it's an optional package?
Yea this one has everything
Was this a base model?
They messed up the looks big time for 2021 by changing the headlights to look like every other Lexus and sticking a tablet screen on the dash instead of having it integrated into the dash like this model. 2018-2020 ls looks better than the 2021 version for sure!
Yes I saw that! 2018-2020 is def the model to get can't believe they changed those beautiful headlights
Did you ever give the horse power and torque?
Just got LS500 2020 in October!!!
Massive congrats my friend!
I would absolutely love to own one of these, but can't afford it.
I am looking at other full size sedans, like the Avalon TRD or Kia K900.
Kevin, would it be possible for you to do a review on the Kia K900? If that is what you want to do. I just would like to hear your honest opinion.
Thank you.
Will try my best to get one such a rare car to find haha. But thank you my friend
@@MeynMotorGroup Yea, they either stay on dealer lots for long time, or they are quickly sold. The 2 near my city were quickly sold.
Thank you!
Maybe consider the Lexus ES or GS. They’re awesome and literally if you get a 2018 ES it’s like a baby LS. I’ve done a review on both 👌
i had the F sport the transmission was my only issue, it never knew what gear to be in. outside of that it was very nice. but i went back to Audi.
But thanks so much for your support and for sharing your ownership experiences!
@@MeynMotorGroup no problem bro cant wait for you to drive the new one.
Yea I don't know when I can but I will try my best Audi is killing it with their new products it's like BMW but they actually ride good lol
