Man our taste is so similar. I am keeping my LC, and have been shopping for a daily. Been split between LS500 and a BMW M4 F83. The LS is the luxury big sedan king to me 👑
I'm glad to hear that! Those 2 vehicles are quite different from one another. The M3 could be similar to the LC, but with a little more performance....therefore I'd personally go with the LS - more comfy and great cruiser boat.
Great video, I do like the LS 500! We only get the LS 500h in the UK & they are a super rare sights on the roads. I think Lexus sold 10 LS models in 2021 in the UK.
Thanks man! LS remains the OG for Lexus...crazy how few of these models have been sold in the UK! Truth be told though, the luxury Japanese segment isn't very big in Europe...
7:46 I found out that the reason why lexus made the oil temp n gas sections like that is because it harks back to the original ls400 from '89. It had the same temp n gas needle design. So that's the easter egg
@Rich With Cars look up a yt channel called 'the car care nut'. He's a long time toyota engineer and did a review on the ls500. He broke down many features n such on it
@8:00 that separate guage design is a nod to the original LS400 guage cluster. If you look at the UCF 10's guages, they use the same font and guage design, and lexus did that as kind of an easter egg.

I have this car it’s fully loaded, it’s a 2019 I only have 54,000 on the odometer and I just had to have the water pump replaced 😳 this is un heard of for me for a practically brand new car it’s garage kept but thank God it’s still under warranty for three more years does anyone know why the pump would have failed?? Lexus took good care of the issue.. but didn’t give an answer as to why this happened??!!
Unfortunately I had the same issue with my LC500, as a voluntary recall. The 2 engines are different, but sometimes the suppliers end up screwing up with material choices, harnesses, etc. Glad Lexus was on top of it.
Two very different experiences. Really depends what you're looking for. LC is not as convenient due to its limited cargo space - but it's an amazing drive and comfortable but sporty ride. The LS is more of a plush and "boaty" experience. They're both very luxurious though. Decisions, decisions! 🤔
I had no issues getting in and out. Unfortunately, I didn't have the LS with the air suspension. The one with air suspension automatically raises when you get in and out of the car....
The rear seat is definitely more cramped than the previous generation, especially the L version. The sad part is this new version is longer than the L.

I love the look but I would never buy a large luxury sedan today. It is too long, by todays standards you will get mistaken for being someones Chauffer driving their boss around as I was in Beverly Hills on 3 occassions on a labor day holiday there in 2016 with the previous body style LS.
I agree that the LS, like many other flagship sedans, is very long. But surprisingly it drove smaller than its size. As for looking like a "chauffeur", it really depends on where you live.
@@RichWithCars It looks beautiful in atomic grey or gold . My friend bought a new LS 400 in 1991 and still owns it. It has gone 750k miles. Long sedans look like LIMOS.

Without a doubt, yes!! Beautiful car w/ fwd thinking style! Premiere sports sedan, but think I’d go w/ the F-Sport version! Thank you for the excellent review!
@bobbyb.1743 thanks for watching! I'm trying to plan to review a 2023 F Sport LS in the coming weeks. Anything in particular you'd like to know about it?
Yeah. An ES is 80% LS? This is my opinion. From what the eye can see, yes, the ES may be close to an LS. But from a mechanical standpoint, no, they are worlds apart. The discontinued GS was most likely closer to the LS if only it was slightly more spacious.
I own a lexus LS500 2019 since 2019 obviously.
Very reliable, no surprises or sudden stops. Very happy about it, aiming for 20 years of use.
That's awesome but also no huge surprise. Hopefully no big issues in 20 years!
20 years ? Really
This was a quality and helpful review. Nice work. I’m thinking seriously about picking up a pre owned LS 500, so I enjoyed your review.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad it was helpful. Good luck with the search on the LS500 - it's a solid long term vehicle.
The car is fantastic and young wreckless ppl don't usually buy these so , if you purchase a used one it should be in mint condition.
The integrated nav screen looks so much better than the new ones
I've only seen the new ones on video and pics. But based on this, I kinda agree...
This is a very impressive review on such a older vehicle. I get to learn more on the history of the car!
Yes, I was quite impressed by the LS500....quite good!

I'd say go with Lexus, bmw are cool when new but are horrible when they start to break!!
Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
LS 500 is the best car ever built in the world
👍
I hope to get one of these in the preowned market too. Just a bit uncertain with the longer term reliability of the v6 twin turbo vs the NA v8.
I completely understand your uncertainty regarding the TT V6 vs the V8. But at least it's a Toyota/ Lexus TT engine vs anything else!

Yeah, my dad had the OG LS and I do remember those gauges. Thanks for your input! I remember how much I loved that original gauge design....
I bought the 2019 LS 500 and it is extraordinary.Luxurious, comfortable and extremely powerful and fast!
Yes I must agree. I was sincerely delighted with the experience I had with it during my short time driving it.
If I had the chance I would buy it in a heartbeat the best generation of the ls ever
Not sure if I'd say it's the best generation of the LS. It's missing that beloved V8. Nevertheless, it's still solid.
Best Gen Is The 430. Then 1st Gen 460. I still have both.
@@johnmartinez4534 good choices but i prefer the 2014 ls 460 the second one it's kinda rare to see one

The Car is a rocket. Had it for 6 months and bought a GX. MARK MY WORDS. This Car Eats Up Tires Looe I’ve Never Seen. 10-15k miles tops. Run flats.
I agree - it's quite potent given that it's a TT V6 and on a large chassis...
Really wish they would have kept to the LS roots and stepped it up to a 5.0 V8 instead of a V6 TT
Agreed. Unfortunately emission requirements are changing the choice of powertrains, with the eventual takeover of EV's 😞
Just save all the "I wish it had V-8" pillow talk and grab a pristine LS 430. . . problem solved
Ok - also true.
I had a 2006 LS430ul. Totally regret selling that beauty, till this day.
twin turbo 6 makes just as much power as a V8 and gets better fuel economy
