Krists arms are longer than my life expectancy
ikr
nah just his strap, ;)
Ok same
@Michael Taylor *slowly claps*
@@colesoileau let's start a band
Being on that stage... playing with such passion... being with your friends all night... must be the most fun thing in the world.
2:47 the way it's filmed seemed like a movie
definitely the best moment in this video for me, first time I saw this was in 1080p in "Montage of Heck"at the cinema release in France *-*
Juan Martín May Its Kinda sad seeing him in this video. Its almost like he still here and you could just go out to his concert.
Because of the fact that it was legit shot on movie film i would argue it’s even better than a movie, it’s quality footage of life occurring
I just shed a few tears😭
Yea the whole video seems like a movie in my opinion.
I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan, but Dave Grohl's drumming with Kurts guitar and voice were perfect together. Just how he pounded them matched Kurt's nasty guitar sound and gravelly voice. Best live band ever!!
true as fuck
i agree, but they're not the best live lol. watch live at reading
+LTG Live at reading sounded weird to me. The drums sounded electronic, I love like at paramount. The guitar here sounded fuzzy, loud and Kurt had a raspier voice compared to Reading the guitar sounded a little funky and it all sounded out of tune.
Matthew Decker I loved Reading too. But you're right the guitar sounded beast and the vocals were more raw sounding at the paramount. Probably my favorite concert. I think since Reading was such a huge show he wanted to sound as much like the studio versions. But lounge act from Reading is priceless.
+Stephen hem Also their voices fit very well together. Dave's got the most beautiful backing vocals I've ever heard, and along with Kurt's just sounded as one. And by the way, if you don't like the Foos... Start off with their debut self-tittled album. The whole record was actually composed all by Dave during the Nirvana era, so it inevitably sounds so much like Nirvana. Listen to Exhausted, Alone and Easy Target or Oh George and you'll get in love with them.
They owned the 90's.
sivvybee not true
sivvybee SO FUCKING TRUE
Michael Figueroa you must be a millennial
Absolutely
@@Figs1999 It's so true my freind...
this looks like a movie
Alejandro Monroy I thought the same
it's because it was shot on 16mm film, like movies do.
The way that Kurt absolutely rips his guitar at 2:43 is insane
James Balestrieri always gives me chills no matter what version I listen to
That shot is absolutely legendary. Kurt's playing, the lights, the crowd. Just magnificent and I'm glad that we get to watch it
Fr my life goal is to write a song I can rock to this hard
0:07
KURT: *strikes chord* you readyy dave?
Dave: *hits snare* Let's do this..
"One baby to another.."
Flapjack Frank I don't doubt it
someone should ask dave or krist if they did talk that way when playing live
Legendarily ICONIC
That is very cool :D
PK and the KiD that is so cringe
there will never be another.........
at least we have Violent Soho, seriously look for them, not so big as Nirvana but pretty cool
MrCesaradrianer I honestly thank you for saying that. I looked them up and they're really good.
***** And Disagony, and Ume, and Senium and maybe The Noiseheads.
MrCesaradrianer UME!
thars were your wrong never let ur gaurd down
my absolute favorite part is 1:46 when they’re all so tuned in to each other, everything is perfectly on beat and though they’re all doing their own thing and yet they’re so aware of each other it’s incredible, and at 2:43 when the beat picks up again it’s just like magic
You are so cute! Follow me on Instagram @the_cure_boyd
Alexander Boyd damn... it never happened

Kurts poetic genius had a way of drawing you in. So many people think most of his songs to include this one were about struggling with addiction. This song is way deeper than a struggle with addiction. It's more of a heart broken ballad
2:48 that view is gorgeous! So many people!
Live at the Paramount is better than Live at Reading
It definitely has better video/cinematography, but I'm not sure if the actual music performance is better than Reading.
the quality and sound is better but reading performance is better cuz of the energy and how big it was and it had more songs like underrated songs
Jordan Dantzler That's true... but still I prefer this one.
yea me too
1991 is nirvana's best year he had tons of energy and loved it
I was born in 1976. When Nirvana hit I was in Highschool.... and I was in the thick of it!!! Olympia was a Prime stop for these bands early on so we just saw them all over 9 months we watched what history would call the Puget Sound. Grunge or Alt Rock... lol To Us they were just Rock and roll and awesome!!! I saw the rise and delusion of a musical Movement .... white, yes, 46, yes. Grandpa yes . Working til my heart stops . Thanks for reading dig other music from the area its good and worth a minute
It's just so crazy how Dave went from being in a legendary bad to another legendary band, and it never getting to his head and being one of those really cool people you meet at a party or something
I just LOVE the way Kurt and Dave sing together. They sound so amazing
Love those punk rock go-go dancers. Wish we could have seen more of them. Amazing song, quite possibly my favorite. Incredible video quality too.
The dancer next to Kurt (wearing the 'Boy' shirt) is Nikki McClure from Olympia. She was good friends with Kurt, Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill) and Molly Neuman (Bratmobile). Not sure who the guy (wearing the 'Girl' shirt) is though, but it's def. not Dancing Tony.
i fucking LOVE this concert. for years i always thought this concert sounded so good, there were a couple of tracks available on the come as you are single. then, many years later i found a bootleg of the whole concert on some torrent. was thrilled to bits when the concert finally came out on dvd/blu. to me this is the height of nirvana's live concerts. the drugs hadn't taken over kurt's life as seriously yet, and you can tell they're still having a good time. the album had been out a month and wouldnt go crazy until they toured europe with TAD. so they weren't sick of the attention yet.
I agree seems like he's having fun here
Cool fun fact about their rising success (since you mentioned it) is that, the day of this concert (Oct. 31, 1991) is when their album 'Nevermind' actually hit gold! Imagine how amped and how fun this must have been.
It was when his daughter was born in 92 and CPS took her away for 3 months. He never recovered from the spiral.
I'd say at least 100 of the views on this video are from me alone lol. This is my favorite Nirvana concert hands down
Hell yeah, so much raw energy!! They never knew they were going to be so big during this concert. This is only one month and six days after the release of nevermind :)
+Spource lol XD
I agree. Roma 91 was also amazing if you haven't seen it.
Same
Spource me too ❤️
Those live dancers were fucking getting into it
Who wouldn't? 💁
they kinda ruined the vibe for me
knickeR stay litty😅🔥
knickeR the autistic convention jk
this video is better than HD somehow
+contactkeithstack Pixel density, there is only 720 pixels and that is compressed in a small area thus making it better, now if you have a 50inch flat screen displaying 720p only it will look worst. Because the pixels are spaced out even more. The pixels aren't changing in quantity but the space they need to display.
its cause its shot on film
Quality lighting and shot with 16mm film. It would have been very expensive.
Get off the stage, you fat fυсκ lmao nice username/pfp
Happy 25th anniversary of this concert!
Nirvana. One of the greatest bands ever. Kurt kept it raw, emotional, and simple. Simple power chords, great melody, and great lyrics. No stupid turkey-gobble, uninspiring guitar solos. No racks of guitar effects pedals. Just pure, straight-up guitar, distortion pedal, chorus pedal, and amp. Love it! 🤟
first time I saw the the dancers I was weirded out by them but now I'm strangely into it... like yeah dudes, do your thing
The lighting performers 3:45 was really interesting. Dave needed two 😂 hella rad!
Ironic that Nirvana fans would hold misogynistic homophobic beliefs🚩🚨
Best voice of all time.
I agree. He never would've made it on American idol. Actually he would've hated shit shows like that. But he had the ultimate rock voice and scream. I can hear the pain when he sings. Kurt was as real as it gets...
How can those people on the upper deck stay seated during this?!?
the fear of the deck caving in.
somebody is in need of an award for the cinematography of this video
These guys dancing on the background are the best!!! LOL
Love the punch of Krist's bass in this. Cuts through the mix very powerfully.
Is it just me or is the little moment shared between Krist and one of the dancers, beginning at 1:12, just really fun/funny to watch?
RazzleDazzle It's great tbh. Krist doesn't get enough credit really, and as a bass player and attempting to recreate many of his works, you realize how creative his riffs were, and I love Krist xD Check out bass covers of Nirvana
Chris Calamia they aren't really creative; he mainly played root notes of what Kurt played and I think Kurt also wrote a lot or atleast some of the basslines. He isn't a bad bassist, he plays root notes well, but he's not that good or creative.
@@Levi-bh5jx I agree with you alot, Krist is pretty talented but he just follows Kurt. The best thing I hear from him has to be Lounge Act, but thats really only one song.. I need more examples to follow through.
Shaggy Dive has really a good bass line, and Krist did a good job on Love Buzz, but that song was a cover, so I don’t really count it
@@bubbasawyerr love buzz??
This whole concert is so brilliant, but Drain You was always my favourite. Thanks for putting this up!
my favorite nirvana song ❤❤
Despite the fact this was recorded 1991, it's an amazing quality!
Have This on Blu Ray And Love The Rawness To it.
And after being 46 years old, I still like the sound and music of NIRVANA forever
Monumental performance this concert was. It solidified in my opinion that Nirvana and many other great bands were here and in full force. Halloween night 1991 lived up to the lyric "HERE WE ARE NOW, ENTERTAIN US".
Gracias Nirvana =")
Ed Argo temazo
The video quality is so amazing it doesn't even look like it was recorded in the 90's
god bless motion picture film
Yep. 16mm
Why do people keep commenting about the quality as if movies shot on film from the 90's don't exist?
Watch Jurassic Park or something.
This is probably Nirvana's most complete performance bass drums kurts vocals amazing it's all there
Nirvana live in Seattle...on Hallowen night..Nevermind just released...i think this is a magic moment and i wish i was there - at least we have this video - and i love the dancers by the way , i think they are perfect with the music - brilliant
A friend of mine, who worked at a record store, told me I'd love this album. So I bought it, about a month after it came out. When this song came on I knew this band was for me. I never cared how popular they became or legendary we think they are now, they just fucking rock with a great pop sensibility. They were like the children of the Replacements and The Pixies, two of my favorite bands.
I'll always have Drain You.
damn i love Kurt's clothes style here
에렛텔 go to the thrift
He would just wake up and put whatever on from what I heard
THe sound Dave gets from that small drum kit is just amazing! Look at how simple it is compared to most setups
I think this is my favorite footage of their live performances!
I forgot why I idolized this man in high school and then, just from the very first few seconds of this, I remembered..
Love the backup dancers : )
I fucking hate them. I just want to see NIRVANA not these shitty/ugly people jumping and waving their arms around.
Kadin G. That's because you have no rhythm. If you had rhythm, you'd love them.
+Norm Kid actually I do have rhythm. I play bass. They're shitty dancers and they are distracting.
+Totes McGotes +Norm Kid lmao wtf are you even talking about that's Dancing Tony not a riot grrrl or anyone from Bikini Kill! 😹 and for the record it's distracting and off beat but idfc it's funny; he was on acid
J Nasty Sorry, not dancing Tony. It's Go Go dancers Ian and Nikki, Kurt friends and as per Kurt's instructions Ian wore the "girl" t shirt and Nikki wore the "boy" t shirt. Dancing Tony lived in London which is why he only appeared when they played the Reading fest both in '91 and '92 in England. This gig is at the Paramount in Seattle, their "homecoming" concert, the first after they became superstars and came back from the Europe Nevermind tour. That's why you can catch Tracy Mirander near front row in a shot or two during the entire show and the excitement is through the roof.
i cannot stop loving this man and this song and this band
Such a great song
This is Nirvana's greatest songs especially with the band all going together so well! The concert looked so fun
Honestly crying because I can't see this live I guess RUclips is the best thing I've got.
Some good ass quality in 1991 lmfao
they were using movie grade cameras
it was recorded on film.
thats awesome
have you never heard of film? idiot
It's the only Nirvana concert shot in 35mm film (cinema's standard)
i was 16 years old that year,, being a teenager when nirvana exploded was a privilege!!
I still can't believe he used to play this song in standard tuning live. On the album it's dropped down a whole step. A little later on they just started playing everything tuned down a half step.
Take me back to this time. Miss it so much
The quality is amazing
this is probably my favorite video...like ever
Love this video.
Kurt Cobain was a genius
Diablo GAGA no derrrr Sherlock haha
Yes he was........... Yes he was.
Charlie Luis Yes he IS...Legends never die
Facts
Thanks I still am to
Some of the camera work is like a fucking movie... just phenomenal.
1:11 I love how Krist jumps with the dancer
I was there for this!
Love this! :')
is no one going to talk about how good the quality of these videos are??
Nirvana was a huge part of my teenage years growing up with my girlfriend listening to these songs brings back memories those days....long gone....damn kurt why did you had to go.. I miss you....
this like was recorded last night, perfecto!!
I know that everyone's tired of such a kind of comments but hell i wish i was born in 70s and watched all of that LIVE . . .
another level!
So amazing❤❤
Must have been a top o the line potato amazing quality cheers
2017 and still fresh
fav song
I love it sm.. RIP Kurt
this song is a masterpiece anyone who plays an instrument knows
Back when the crowd wasn't full of phones and uninterested fans. Good old days buddies, good old days...
Idk why but I'm okay with watching the add for this video. It's worth waiting lmao
the GODS OF ROCK!!!
michael bryan Grunge.
Thanks
@@kurtcobain8633 ese we
1:11 Krist and that dancer dude just vibing together is priceless lmfao
Everything is perfect here
beautiful
love Nirvana...
This is what beautiful organized chaos looks like.
Always thought this was the best nirvana song
I like to compare this to their Reading Festival concert in 1992. It's like two completely different band covering one another. And I love it!
i just realized that the video is about half a second slower than the song playing
Dave beat the living hell out of those drums any human wouldve just been dead tired...but no perfect back up vocals and no heavy breathing..what the actual hell. Hes one of those drummers whos so good at what he does people wonder if hes doing much at all.
how those at the upper levels of this venue in this performance were able to stay seated most of the time is beyond me lol nirvana is forever!
this is the best live Nirvana performance ever.......
Dang that quality is really good for 1991
Still kicking ass
love the Dave´s drumming.
This show is incredibly great. Lightning in a bottle.
GOOSEBUMPS at 2:43
Clay Davis one of greatest bits of any concert film ever
this quality is perfect i feel like im onstage
I think i Heard this song about 10.000 Times in my f****** live
omg the quality
One baby to another says -
I'm lucky to have met you
I don't care what you think
Unless it is about me
It is now my duty to completely drain you
A travel through a tube
And end up in your infection
Chew your meat for you
Pass it back and forth
In a passionate kiss
From my mouth to yours
I like you
With eyes so dilated
I've become your pupil
You've taught me everything
Without a poison apple
The water is so yellow, I'm a healthy student
Indebted and so grateful -
Vacuum out the fluids
Chew your meat for you
Pass it back and forth
In a passionate kiss
From my mouth to yours
I like you
One baby to another says -
I'm lucky to have met you
I don't care what you think
Unless it is about me
It is now my duty to completely drain you
A travel through a tube
And end up in your infection
Chew your meat for you
Pass it back and forth
In a passionate kiss
From my mouth to yours
Sloppy lips to lips
You're my vitamins
I'm like you
my favorite nirvana song
The camerawork in the paramount videos is godly
