Wow! I never knew about this! Such a gem! Thank you for uploading it!
This reminds me of a gig I played with my first band, we played in the middle of an arcade. I think we actually had more people at our gig than this radio Shack Nirvana show. Lol. Seeing all that 1986 Lloyd's and Sony stereo and AV equipment being sold as brand new state-of-the-art stuff is hilarious. And who sets up in the middle of radio Shack to play? Kurt. Lol
First got this album at 17 in 2003, i thought it was ok, but after many years i do believe it's brilliant and ahead of its time
They're gonna be the biggest band in the world someday
I know right!
@@CoolDaddyJamesduuude you just took the words outta my mouth
its really old footage that some guy gave to courtney like 7 or 8 years ago.. now its been overdubbed but to see it complete like this is well something..
if I am right I believe it was given to her in 1994 or 1995
Your never gonna hear this kind of music come out again.im glad I was apart of the experience.✌😎✌
AWWW THEY WERE SUCH BABIES THIS IS SO COOL TO SEE
They each had their own unique sound and style but the bridge of this has always given me AIC vibes. I would've LOVED to have been in RadioShack on this day..such a close and personal gig😍 (if they were really playing..Krist's bass is a toy😆)
If you’re from western Wa., like me, you’d know this heavy grunge sound and slow pace is like walking through a muddy sludge trail during the 8 month perpetual rain season. Its like the endless heavy fog and rain and mud. You don’t write this song in Arizona or the tropics.
Great point you made----Plus the Indian ghosts haunting Grays Harbor
Except some young dudes from Birmingham, England discovered this slow, heavy sludge sound 20 years before this video was shot.
I’m in Vancouver Canada does that count
@@termsofusepolice Not quite. The Brummies are an influence but I can easily tell the difference.
Or Blink 182 born in San Diego, although I like them, but different style.
Doesn't get any better than Nirvana in Radio Shack.
Paper Cuts, Floyd The Barber and If You Must recorded with Dale from The Melvins in january 23th 1988. One day later they were filmed that music video and the If You Must's video.
Holy shit! I cant believe ive never seen this. This is awesome! Thx for sharing!!!
Amazing. Totally. On a side note it was also remarkable to see Cobain with clean hair.
I love the way he says - nirvana... nirvana....
Woah, radio shack ruled.
0:39 Smoke machine puffs a bit of smoke while Nirvana performs a song called Paper Cuts, 'welcome to Radio Shack, how cane we help you?'.
That 50 cents worth of smoke that drifts across the screen, priceless!
They had no idea how their lives were going to change.
Nirvana performing live at Radio Shack has to be the randomest thing ever
cómo amo la voz de este ser humanooooooo
Fantastic drumming.
All for this. Great vid 🤟🏻
Bring back radio shack! Think about how awesome this is.
Is better than any RadioShack ad I've ever seen
a masterpiece
Fun fact, Dale Crover told Kurt once that if he destroyed his drums that they were gonna have to fight.
How does this sound so heavenly OMG💗
Nirvana is the shit I will always love them. Today's music doesnt even compare. RIP Kurt
This is what happens when the manager leaves and you have band members supposed to be working at the shop.
Very original sound and temperamental voice of Kurt Cobain!!!
One of my favorit!
Good stuff,Cool and luxuriant,marvelous!!!
wow, this dark and heavy sound is more like Alice in Chains style
The other way around. Nirvana was around first. And btw, Rollins Band and The Melvins were doing this before any of them.
@@Danimal77 ok, I wasn't trying to make a point on who came up with it first, just making a comparison
@@scsi_joe I was thinking The Melvins. The drummer even plays like Dale Crover.
"OtHeR wAy AroUnD" blah blah blah.... psh. Alice in Chains blows Nirvana out the water and that's just my own opinion but as far as the above comment, yes this song def has a Alice vibe to it.
@@greygod8141 and your opinion sucks.
I love this more than life. Thank GOD for RUclips suggestions.
Hopefully seeing a Nirvana tribute band Saturday and I forgot how good this song is! Might play it three times
