NO!!! what a fabulous piece of work - only to wiped away! Lovely work - amazing how you're able to lay the design out and get absolute perfection in your symmetry simply by eye. Very skilful.
Loved the end with the rag. Good old one shot I used it back in the 80's painting signs on store fronts. I didn't think they still made it cause it had lead in it. Ol' Skool is the best. Good tunes wanted to jump right in with a brush
awesome! I'm in the process of learning how to pinstripe..one day I want to put my stamp on my 52 Buick! your skills are amazing! thanks for posting this video
Nice work. I was a sign writer for a number of years and dabbled in pinstriping. Your video has me wanting to break out the One Shot and old sword striper again! Thank you for sharing your talent!
I just turned 15 about two weeks ago, and I'm looking forward to getting my first pinstripe brush set. I'm gonna showcase my work at first on a race mower I'm planning on building. I've always loved old skool pinstriping and grew up around von dutch styling, and rock a "No Respect" shirt on a regular basis... anyways, I wanna learn to pinstripe because it's a part of American culture that must live on.
Great work! Mad skillz! If this was showing in a movie theater, you could just hear the crowd in sync saying... "aww sh*t!! Skill rateing: 1-10, TEN (10) all day! Thanks for the inspiration!
Lol, like how you pointed 3 times when Ozzy said "Go,Go, Go! What I didn't like, is when you just smudged it out. I could of used that on my bike. You say "rate my skills?" I rate them a 10+... good job Bro! Wish ya lived near Topeka Kansas, i'd for sho have ya do my scoot.
What surface are you using and can it be reused? I want to start learning and I'm not sure what would be best, preferably in the UK. Plastisheen that kafka makes is expensive and as far as I know not reusable. Thanks
@ARTBYDoRr Skills, you have them. Invest in some scrap panels or something so you don't have to trash the designs you make- trust me brother, people will buy those panels form you. Even if you only score 50 bucks for a panel that size, it's still better than wasted materials :p I wish I could pinstripe that well, there's alot of money in that here locally
I began pinstriping today on some paper with One Shot and reducing with mineral spirits, is there a reason why the paint is fading kinda instantly? Could it be the paper? I spray painted it with a flat black enamel.
Go to your local home center and buy some aluminum for sale signs and paint the back side with spray paint. They cost .97 cents and are great practice panels! Paper will absorb the paint, by using the aluminum panels you will get the feel for a surface you would actually be painting on.
Cameron Windust Another approach might be to buy some ACM (DiBond or similar) material and practice on it. You can get a 1/8" panel for around $50-75 and you can score it with a utility knife and a straight edge, and snap it into as many random sized panels as you want. It's already primed and painted and is a great practice surface. If you paint something you really like, you can keep it and just grab a new panel.
Cameron Windust You can find it through any sign supply company. It is sold under various trade names, such as DiBond, MaxMetal, Nudo Polymetal, and AluPanel, to name a few. By the way, I forgot to mention the sheets typically are 4' x 8'.
+corvetteracer916 Or just grab a piece of glass and go to town. Its the perfect practice medium because you can easily wash and re-use without any real prep work.
@ARTBYDoRr you dont need to be rated cause only youtubers rate homie... your gettin real rodders and lowriders checkin you out cause we dont know how to work this thing i had to drop this for a year no one carried near me till 4 days ago i spent 700 dollars on one shot and brushes
