I have to laugh at everybody hating on the G when I bet nobody who commented would be worthy of cleaning this man's paint brush. Besides the point of the tail on the G was to show you a technique. Wake Up smell the coffee or in this case the paint thinner and awaken your inner artist.
as an artist myself, I really enjoyed watching you in action. You layed that paint on like Michelangelo! I don"t do lettering very often, and was very impressed!!
When you over commit to a flourish. Amazing work!
He made me take my mind off of my problems for a few minutes. Thanks man. Beautiful work
All absolutely perfect! (except RIIIIGHT at the end with the spiral making those circles, just a tad much because it went over everything else he'd just done)
Pay attention you younger guys, this is one of my Hero’s!
Absolutely stunning! It's such a privilege to watch such skill in action, thank you.
This dude could be a surgeon... amazing control/coordination.
After a surgery with a G cutted on the skin lol
This guy is fkn incredible....I'm certain his just showcasing his skills and what can be achieved in that g.I could watch him all day.
When I was a bit younger I had a flow like that with my hands. It always felt great to be able to have a steady hand like that. Amazing work... I think he went just a little overboard on the loops at the end, but still amazing.
This guy's got the precise hands of a SURGEON.
Awesome to watch but impossible to imitate!
I was with him until 4:28 somewhere... then it stopped making sense for me.
totally agree. but up til then i was in awe
Haha thats showing off and he has right to.
When I first red your comment and I was half way I was kinda weirded out by what you said.. then I watched it all and I died laughing.
This is something I could watch all day
my buttcheeks were clenched so hard during this video
LOOOL agreed
N. N.
the brushes he uses are carefully cut from his own hair that's the secret to those beautiful strokes.
Actually its his pubes!
HolyCrapAA I think it's his arsehole's hairs... Disgusting huahauaaaaa
Slash went nuts on the G.
DeD
yh the G looks shit aka crap
Yo I after he did the third loop over I was like ok this is going somewhere then he just went overboard
Lol- too many circles on that G , but not bad slash
Gave me flashbacks of vietnam
I could watch this all day
so good but the circling "g" part didn't fit
yup he lost me on that infinite loop
+Guillermo Ramos same here
+Wendy Jia Yep, two rounds too many
That is INCREDIBLE Skill !!!
Beautiful! The tail piece on the g was to demonstrate the versatility of the brush to show that it's not only capable of the script but also scroll work.
Ah. I was afraid he was having a stroke.
Learnt this at 16 years old...by 18 I was doing cash jobs at the weekend...still doing it now at the age of 70. Takes note kids...learn something like this and you'll earn money for the rest of your life !!...couple it with airbrush skills, and there ain't nothing you can't do.
lol like everyone is angry with "g"
+jihyun7372 and none of them could do any of this lol
+Toni Chamberlain yeah for real. I hate the G too, but if I could do this, I might make the G even crazier lol
I have no idea why the G is hated so much. I think it looks better.
Yes, because even if one couldn't make calligraphy as good as this
artist, that by itself doesn't preclude him/her from giving an honest
opinion about it. You can't play basketball as well as Kobe Bryant;
should that stop you from laughing at one of his boneheaded moves? Art
is made for the appreciation of the audience, not the artist himself.
Otherwise why hold art exhibits? Overly long and non-too-inspiring
flourishes like that on the "g" ruin the overall coherence of the
characters.
como pintat
Outstanding but overworked that g. His first 3 passes were perfect if he trailed off from there. Perhaps he is showing us how these circular movements flow in movement.
Stunami Yes, it's all absolutely for the instructional.
+Stunami I think the main point was to show that in diluting your ink for flourishing, you can maintain a long thin line and flair it at the end with one stroke.
This is like watching a ballet. I was nearly hypnotized, until the tatts brought me back to reality. Just gorgeous. Really.
this is perfect, i just don't like the G.
What an awesome talent. Stumbled across this by accident. Glad I did. Can't wait to watch more. Awesome...........................
No shit though, when you look at the finished product..if you saw a sign with those letters on it, you'd assume they were printed by a computer unless you looked a bit closer. I agree that the G is weird, but he's a veteran of a time when sign painters and the like knew a thousand beautiful letter styles like this one and could finish them off with whatever flourish they chose
You are very nice artist
Proper ROFL @ 4:32... Way to ruin a beautiful piece of work with that shit.
Amazing hand control!
fantastic work. n yes obviously the last part was a demonstration of how to utilize the brush n movements
HUGE fan of Glen!!!! I have been following his work since I was 17 and I am 58 now. Keep the Glen videos coming. Awesome to see your work again Glen!!!! Hope to see you in Vegas. Glen you rock!!!!
Inspired me to practice more, great lesson! Thank you!

The nasal whistle, my friend.. That is the ONLY thing I could concentrate on.
I feel embarrassed for you making such a comment.
Pierre Ripplinger Uhm.. okay?
You're hot
Crafty work, I wasn't very fond of the G tail though
So beautiful! Watching that was like a spa experience.
Amazing. I said to my wife tonight, "Is it wrong for a man to love another man?"... she said, no.... I've been a lettering freak all my life. I made a video called, ' The Fundamental Rules of Lettering". It's pretty basic, compared to what you're doing, but it shows the basics. Thank you for this. it's amazing.
You are amazing, not to mention, that you have such a control with the brush. I also do lettering but not with the brush.
i don't understand how some people don't like the swirls on the letter g, i thought it was quite beautiful and fitting.
likewise, people don't understand how you can like the swirls on the letter g, it was not attracting at all to my eyes.
Wish these guys were still teaching
Honestly think he was just as pissed with the "g" as we are 🤣🤣
The video ended fast af 😖😶
Just beautiful! (Although that 'g' annoys me for some reason - I couldn't do it myself though)
Phyl Renshaw Relax, it's just for the instructional I assure you. :)
This was an instructional video. This lettering was wiped seconds later . One of thousands for him. The G at the end I believe was more to show how long of a line you can pull with a properly palleted brush. I doubt he’s worried about it. And good luck learning from this video if you don’t know the basics even then busting out script this consistent takes a shit ton of practice.
Incredible, right up until that tangled mess at the end.
lol ikr. i was like wtf is he doing??
James Raymond Hahaha for sure, I laughed out loud when I saw him start looping all over it... like wtf are you serious man?
+James Raymond
James can you beat it?
Lets see some of your lettering,,,,
+Paxson Woelber
Paxson,,,can you beat it?
Lets see some of your stuff,,,,,,
+David Doyle see, when you get food from a restaurant you can complain, even if you can't do better, but that's why you're there right? Because they can cook (or so, they should be able to). I think that if you comment that you don't like it or they messed up, you shouldn't use that against them. I mean, the dude made a video about calligraphy and 'messed up'.
That looks good the riting and the couler your using
That is the real "G" string.
i totally held my breath when he did the tail piece. omg that was so intense!
Hand-lettering Pro!
This is an amazing artistic ability. Beautiful work.
That is gorgeous. I'm always amazed at my husband's skills with this, while at the same time his actual handwriting is horrible! LOL.
YOU ARE THE MAN!
I'm sorry but the sound of you're breathing gives me anxiety and I don't know why
LMAO
From a Laymen point of view, what beautiful work! Everyone has a point of view but I must say if I could master this like you I would be very happy. Great work!
his nose whistle is bothering me lmao
exo moon I thought that was me lol
He does some amazing things like most good artists can
anyone one else slightly irritated by his breathing sound?!?!?😕😤
I'm hypnotized. Oh wow! ♥ Love it.
new video name: Biker Does Calligraphy
A proper tradesman. Amazing.
I was expecting the G to kill it! But I was a little disappointed :( beautiful writing though, I hope I can do it would day!
Beautiful painting 👍👍👍👍👍👍
O M F G !!!
Impressive! How many hours a day and how many years did it take this guy to achieve such a level and dexterity?
Wow! absolutely outstanding....
One word: amazing!
In this world of a-computer-font-for-everything, you have to love hand lettering.
Ben Carew Indeed!
I agree with you :)
Most people don’t realize how important the nose whistle is to your focus when working on precision detail. If your nose didn’t whistle, was it truly your best work?
This makes me really upset I'm not right handed. Good luck getting these kinds of strokes with a left hand!
JWhitnee work backwards
JWhitnee Practice stability techniques. I'm a lefty too.
Learn Arabic?
Have you tried upstroke instead of downstroke? All lines are pulled bottom to top, easier!
Lefties should develop their own system and stroke order, it'll take some time but results will be quicker and cleaner than trying to emulate right handed style. Only time right-hand top to bottom lettering works for (also a southpaw) is in reverse glass painting.
Amazing Talent.
the g ruinned it tho
last bit ruined
EVERYTHING
when Slash Retired~
4:23 aaaannnnddd stop....wait what.. too much too much. lol awesome work!
THIS. IS. SO. SATISFYING.
really cool!
it's good but the g is not
That is fantastic, I enjoy watching the videos as much as the artwork itself.
one word , talent . that is how race cars used to be lettered for crew names and thanks too back in the day .
Sorry but that last 'g' just looks terrible.
Impresionante ¡¡
ART ¡¡ , That man is one Artist ¡¡
The last "g" was a bit much though
fantastic work dude!
That was bad ass but you fucked up by doing all that extra shit to the G .
Great tutorial
Gorgeous!
So relaxing 😌
That's the difference between synthetic nylon and pure quills. Nylons don't allow the flourishes to be completed in 1 shot. Your thoughts Glen? Granted the skill of the craftsman comes into play as well but really there is no compromise for this type of flourish work.
Amazing control your hand
So beautiful !
ha! that "g" was insane!
Haha I love his focus wheeze
You're getting excellent flow out of that brush. You put any linseed oil in the paint?
Wow! What a wonderful! Thanks a lot.
So talented
just hold my beer and I'll show you my handwriting technique since I was a school boy.

Very nice sharing good work,beautiful👍👍👍amazing❤️❤️super💕❤️.
That G is gorgeous!!
awesome caliography
I do pinstriping and have a HELLUVA time with lettering. Definitely a different craft. Much respect
I have been to several painting seminars in my area for the last 3 years at Fenders custom colours from a guy that says you and another guy Bill Ridell are the best at this technique. And he says he worked at Knott's berry farm with Ed Roth the rat fink guy. I never knew he had a normal job. He says he noticed your work back when he painted race cars. He told us the east coast guys came over and showed us what color was and how to use it a bit differently. So he shows us the west coast style and east coast style. He uses you for his east coast style on lettering and a few others. But I remember you the most. In a few if his seminars he used you as a reference for Airbrush work and lettering. That why I remember your name the most. Every now and then I watch just to refresh my memory.
Holy shit that was just perfection
Incredible.......
I’m digging it let me give it a follow and ring that bell!!!!!!
