There's not a single drummer on the planet that exemplifies the pure joy of drumming like this man does. I'm sure even Santa Claus calls Bernard Purdy when he's feelin' sad. Dude is a true legend and a gigantic ball of positive energy. I'm sure this will be your most memorable Drumeo lesson, man. Pleasure to watch. Great job, guys!
Jakey Ch'i His passion is infectious to many. Everyone has that one person he/she...well I wouldn't say idolize, but admire tremendously to the point it inspires them to do the same. Even you.
I like how he rocks an unorthodox sounding kit, babbles like a maniac in trance, and has grooves tighter than aztec temple masonry. His Latin suite was a joy to listen to. His New Orleans work was so creamy.
@ this is bizarre, I don't think I left this comment. This is not how I would speak....wtf is going on. I would NEVER say "Latine suite" totally not my style.
The difference between playing the drums and becoming the drums, this guy and those drums became one... the finest example of "Feeling the rhythm" there is a spiritual connection that takes place when you Feel the rhythm and become one with it.
I use to give my mom spiritual connections when if drum on her kitchen counter when i was a kid ..the whole neighborhood knew she had enough all ready!!! Than id cpntinue till she chased me out the front door i went!! And found one bourbon one scotch n one beer..lol..what a great song!! G.T. HE DA MAN!!
I'd like to see a video of him just hanging out with Jon Baptiste. Also the insane funky jazz jam they would inevitably have, but mainly the discourse.
***** Heyyyy...I'm a synthesizer and Hammond junkie, but the drum kit is and always will be my first love....lol. I definitely use the Purdie Shuffle quite a bit when songs call for it. This guy's playing may be somewhat dated to some, but it's still relevant in my book.
Even if they're not a drummer and have to respect for all this man's accomplishments... The joy and energy he delivers while playing is fuckin infectious!!
Music is suggestive. One person's Great is another's mediocre. Bernard has a style of his own and it's nothing like Buddy Rich's style. Can Bernard pull off the impossible Buddy Rich Whiplash Drum solo? I would think not... never in a million years... but he still is a great drummer... a soulful drummer.
and I'd like to object as if you watch again and start counting from the very beginning and try hard to stay friggin on 1 and eventually you are there when it ends you've learned a whole lotta lesson.
I don't even play drums and I've already watched 3 videos with Bernard..amazing guy and his passion is infectious. I draw for a living and want to apply these thoughts to traditional art!
I usually watch drum videos with chop-monsters like Thomas Lang or such but this is SO damn refreshing. I can't even put into words how much i like Purdie's tasteful playing and overall philosophy on music, no wonder he is a real legend.

I loved how he talked about how he's done thousands of albums. It shows that you really don't need to have fast hands. The ones that get the call are the ones that serve the music and do not feel served by the music. They put the music over the drums. A selfish drummer kills music very quickly. With his groove, the music is unstoppable!
Dallin Stagg Uhhm...are you declaring that Bernard Purdie (*Bernard Purdie!*) doesn't have fast hands? It may be possible to make a more arrogant remark than that, but I can't imagine quite how at this moment. For one, you have absolutely *no* idea--None, Zero, Nil*--how fast Mr. Purdie can, or can't, play from this one video--a video, note, where he is expressly demonstrating (a.) control and (b.) groove. But for two, total nobodies in the drum universe--like you and I--simply shut up and reverence in the presence of the divinities, not make backhanded put-downs in contemptible attempts to reflect some small glory on ourselves. I am sure that Bernard Purdie can be plenty fast if he needs, thank.-you.
Bradford Northern Firstly Captain Keyboard Warrior, that was clearly not a declaration of Bernard Purdie having slow hands simply an acknowledgement of how someone can make it in the music industry as a drummer who FAVORS technique, groove, feel etc... over speed. Are you a personal friend of Bernard or do you just feel super offended when someone states their opinion? FYI not looking for a back fourth childish argument, simply defending Dallin Stagg as your reply came across as rude and condescending so why don't you calm down.
Ian Mc Neill Then stay away from deprecatory fixation on my motivation (irrelevant, not to mention inaccessible) and be clearer on your concession of my point of rebuke: a backhanded remark on the technique of a musician of Bernard Purdie's supreme eminence (and who, please note, appeared here, purely for our benefit, *pro bono*) is as deplorable as it is, which I show, entirely without foundation.
Bradford Northern nah! you got his comment all backwards. And you are the one sounding as arrogant as hell dude with you attitude! did you read that he said that Purdie makes music unstoppable?. Plus what he says is plain true. The magic of Purdie isn't in his velocity, and even he is admiting he don care about playing fast and here he shows how fast he gets tyred. But that is not a problem, since heavy metal bands aren't his niche.
Mr. Purdie exemplifies what a gigging drummer should be. He understands that being the drummer means that he is in control of the feel of the band and what they accomplished is directly a part of what he inspires in his playing. Most of the time in commercial music is not the flash in your bang it's the bang that you give to the band. What a truly outstanding individual. Thank you drumeo for this opportunity.
Bernard is the epitome of groove and soulfulness. He glows with a magnetic personality, it's no wonder he has played with so many greats. Attitude is root to making it more so than chops.
I have never heard of this man and since I am a jazz drummer I feel he should have at least be known by me. What I mean is I am glad I was introduced. He is a true statesman eh? I loved his quote. and I wonder if perhaps I did not hear about him because he is so humble. I try to be and since I lost my leg 5 years ago I have to be. And since I got behind the kit again one year ago this month I have continued to be humble because I have at least overcome that. You see, I am in constant, chronic and severe pain. 24/7 but I don't feel pain when i play or when I hear. thank you Purdie for that today. Your humility speaks volumes. I never would have made you for a drummer on the street but you sir do have a drummer's attitude from your laugh to your shuffle. Proceed good sir: Thanks for making my day. I just turned 49 and my kid was bullied at school for being Aboriginal and I kept telling you need to learn to have compassion and to pray for these people, so anyhow she was too upset to join her pa on his birthday on Wednesday but you made my week Purdie because I learned. My favorite was the reading of the statement you made about being a world class drummer. You are a master. After that I was all ears. Thanks Drumeo.
JohnFive Eagles Szuros Bernard Purdie has played with plenty of jazz artists, as stated in the video, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Smith, Sonny Phillips... Are you saying that you only exclusively play jazz? 'Cause first of all, I'm a jazz drummer myself but all my friends and I don't even play it when we first start out drums. I was (and still into) a LOT of funk/r&b/soul, James Brown, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder before taking up jazz. Also many of my fellow jazz drummers are completely aware of Bernard Purdie and the groove he brings... his lessons should transcend for all drummers regardless of genre.
JohnFive Eagles Szuros he is far from humble, but in the most endearing way. He is a superstar in both the musical and human realms. I only learned of him a few years ago myself, through a Steely Dan documentary. Turns out he's played most of the music I've loved through my life.
I had never heard of Bernard Purdie until i came across this video. I have been sitting here with my jaw dropped to the floor. This guy is AMAZING! He literally became the rhythm.
A supreme technician with amazing control of the dynamics without beating you over the head with volume!!!!!!!! It's obvious why he played on soooooooooooooooo many sessions!!! There are very few drummers who I would pay to attend their solo concert. Bernard is one of the few!!! Bernard's wisdom is absolutely priceless!!!
All I have to say is... I thought I was good. I will be when I finish the journey. To New Orleans, Brazil, Africa, Latin America, Seattle, New York, London, and all the above. Drumming is my life and will be forever. This lesson proves you need no sheet music to play along or improvise. You need to feel it, dive right in. That's what jazz, funk, life is all about. Observation of the sticks, footwork, and syncopation is the key. I just sat here hypnotized and slowly falling asleep, idle, yet still typing, composing this comment into a trance whilst listening to his speech, his playing, his teaching. Everything. This collaboration with one of my favorite session teachers, Jared Falk, was awesome. I recognized swing, ragtime. Soul. All of it. I kid you not, Bernard Purdie is my new favorite drummer, he demotes Neil Peart down to second! :D. Thanks Drumeo for this video. I've been subbed to this channel for a small while and I love it. These people are complete strangers, but they feel like family. I respect and love them as much as my blood sister, brother, mom, dad. Bernard is my grandpa now. I've never really had one. Thank you, so so much for all your work. I will never be close to be completing my journey. Everything is infinite, even after our time of dying. Everyone discovers something new everyday. I'm a percussionist in Junior High symphonic band, and I'm always wanting to have all of these mallets or sticks like the richer kids that go to my school, but due to seeing how old this legendary GOD is, I've had time to think, hey I gotta make due with what I got. I feel like I got a ton of things in my blood- iron, plasma, cells. But I feel I have Native American, blues, jazz, swing, and even European spirit in me. And I will never play with sneakers again. I need to play on my toes. I love rock music, but I've started to love jazz and blues even more. Thank you for this, Bernard. Drumeo, drummers, my family. Flams are my fams, syncopation is my inspiration, and percussion means I'm rushin, in a good way. THANK YOU ALL
Leave a comment here on your favourite part of the lesson for your chance to win a signed copy of Bernard's book, "Let The Drums Speak". We'll choose the winner by July 15th.
Drumeo I could watch Bernard play drums all day long. One thing that's great about him is that not only is he great, he TELLS you that he's great just in case you missed it :-). I like when he's singing along with himself at 13:25 or so. What's the quote from the Steely Dan documentary about the sign he put by his drums--"You done hired the hitmaker." Classic!
the greatest drummers play what we all can play but record perfect...they bring life to the notes...you never hear anyone lay down a ghost shuffle like this anymore...pocket player...everything he did was based off a groove time and feel pulse...we see why the studio loves him and songs...so much space a dynamics to breath...he aint ever gonna play prog rock but found a home with popular music
I want to thank drumeo and Mr. Purdie for this absolute brilliant experience. This video is simply amazing. Very deep. Again, thank you drumeo for making this happen. And thanks to Mr. Purdie for the shuffle and this stunning lesson. Have Fun, Folks!
As a senior drummer and former CBGB band member, I find Bernard's calm focus and humor to be helpful as I run after that bus that left the depot years ago. A true drummer must be comfortably able to play all kinds of music, and Bernard's work keeps the road wide and open.
What a frigging legend! A true icon of the drumming world! His attitude is infectious, ever since i picked up a pair of stick 25 years ago i have been a huge fan of the legend that is this man. It is an honor to watch this lesson. Thank you for sharing Drumeo. -H
He sounds crazy and old, yet I have so much respect for him.. this is rad. Just goes to show that there are so many different "right" ways of approaching a single craft.
I love how Bernard is so passionate and laid back while drumming. I find it amazing how he can really get into a beat and how he can just build onto it. Bernard "Pretty" Purdie is truly an amazing drummer.
OMG, Im wondering if this has got to be the longest solo known to mankind! Its my dream to be able to retain that many of beats, as Bernard. That Shuffle is Iconic. This Guy puts so much fun in Drumming. One of my favorite teachers, as well as drummers!
Journey is the term, Bernard makes you feel like he is in your living room, so comfortable to follow and understand. He is always in motion, but not busy and the rhythms that he produces are awesome. I will watch for his next "Journey".
Every musician can love great musicians, anyone can love a great person--this guy is both. I'm not even in the room and I'm smiling behind this screen, I can't image what it was like to be in that room with him. It's always great when your idols aren't just amazing at what they do, they're also role models in who they are as a person. You're the best, Purdie...!
@Black Vitriol well i am a heavy metal guy , i love funk and Purdie ... Deep purple , Led zeppelin , Black Sabbath were great musicians , they were inspired by Purdie , Buddy rich , Louis bellson... heavy metal is a mutation of Blues , jazz , Mowtown and Eventually Rock n roll , and some classical influence as european héritage . Do you think they had no talent with the improvisations they did live too ? Made in Japan , no talent , Fireball no talent ? Stormbringer and Come taste the band ? Very funky shit .. which is great .. Wonderfull stuff . While beign Heavy . Budgie , No talent ? Uriah heep , No talent ? Judas Priest , To rocka rolla , To the bible of modern metal Sad wings of destiny /Sin after sin / Stained class .. Have progressive pieces , Bluesy kind of stuff , Moody Funk heavy but in Heavy setting , modern metal blue print , early stages of Speed and Thrash metal , complicated pieces , symphonic arrangements ... Simon phillips and Lesbinks , No talent , are you kidding . Guys who were also very kind of Mahavishnu ochestra stuff and Lenny white ... Come on... Early Whitesnake stuff , especially trouble , with Dave dowle ... Etc... You dont have to like it , but make sense in what you wrote .
@Black Vitriol Did you seriously just say Led Zeppelin respected the black RnB artists of their time? Seriously? They quite literally ripped melodies, changed the words and didn't credit them.
It’s awesome to see a guy like this, Bernard Purdie, give this much love to 'online teaching/learning' when he and Drumeo recorded this! (I’m commenting mid Jan. 2021) He’s an old school dude that was early to the party and that is awesome!
Legend!!! This was not a drum lesson, this was a journey of life. For those of us old enough to know who this man is hearing the music on albums and the radio in the late 60s and throughout the 70s he is the GOAT. Sure there are others worthy of mention who also contributed and I am not discounting them. However, this man changed the drum kit FOREVER. There is a reason why he is on damn near everything!!!
This guy even moves his hands and arms when he's not playing the drums in a rhythmic fashion. He must be counting beats in his head 24/7. I adore Bernard.
I mean, Mr Purdie is right up there the great of all time! I would even say on the Mount Rushmore of drumming he should and would be right up there! Which brings me to my point of, who the hell are the knuckleheads who "disliked" this lesson? Unreal smdh!
"Have fun with it": Sound advice from a sound drummer spreading pleasantry in sound around. Thank you sir Bernard Lee "Pretty" Purdie !! You literally bring joy to life from beats for hearts to seek what is fun in a drum making it all that much better
I love Bernard! He exemplifies true joy and professionalism with what he does which is play some incredible beats, drums and has the music in his head that he loves so much! Soo good!
So tight and chill. Hypnotizing groove. I actually went into a trance when he stopped talking for a while. Some of these ideas are mindblowing too. So clever.
Non:drummer & non-musician here. What's so striking about this guy (no pun intended), is a quality I've always admired about Mark Knopfler (& to some extent Ry Cooper) as a guitarist; they both know not just when to play, but when to shut up & not play & instead leave that last beautiful note (or beat) hanging in the air to resonate & savor. I imagine that takes musical maturity to know when less is better & more musical, especially the more technical prowess a musician has. And it takes confidence that the what you do produce stands up absent the distracting book ends of constant fill & flourish. Like talented singers & their tired over-reliance on melisma ala Mariah Carey, when it just doesn't serve a melody. It's a lesson at the heart of traditional jazz and country & western that feels lost among generations aspiring to ever-expansive soundscapes. And it's not about minimalism, but musicianship & the art of complements. Anyhow, I could listen to this guy swing a relatively sparse beat all day next to 30 seconds of a frenzied & exhasting solo.
I can't believe I'm just simply watching this on RUclips... Holy smokes this is a quality video, the interviewer clearly knows who he's interviewing and the respect is clearly visible. Master Purdie is simply that, a Master, a legend. Once again, I can't believe this is just sitting here on RUclips. Thank you for this interview, and thank you to Bernard "Pretty" Purdie for graciously taking the time out of his twilight years to do this interview.
This guy is the favorite drummer of your favorite drummer's favorite drummer.
Yes
+MidiPunk Drumception!!
truth
I would guess that he is just my favorable drummers favorate drummer. Neil Peart is already pretty old school.
But HE is my favourite drummer 😏

Purdie and the drummer from BMB, they both just look like they are so happy all the time. :-)
i was just about to say marco haha. i would also add meytal cohen to
Happy is contagious. Right?
I think Herlin Riley would contest that spot.

Austin Wells of Bernard? Because those drums were speaking lol
@@ivdmusic because he sings when he plays
It is called Purdie's Rap.
I know what you mean. I Iove his singing the drums. But isolated vocals would be boring without the drums accompanying them.

What do you draw? I draw and drum, neither for a living unfortunately. Hoping to change that.
I'm right there with you. I also draw, and paint. Love drumming, I think you can apply this kind of discipline to your visual art life.

I guess that you surely heard of him without knowing it was him, on at least one of the 4000 albums - some of them legendary for sure - he appears on.
Listen to the drum part on Steely Dan's "Home at Last" - that's him
This brotha puts the hot sauce on it!.. Love it!!
I want some collard greens with Tabasco, corn cakes with butter, and some fried catfish. And listen to Bernard "Pretty" Perdie alllllllll night long.
It's awesome how he's using Remo head and Evans E-Rings. Thug life right there Mr. Purdie.
"Thug Life". Really? That's such an asinine thing to say.
@@DrummerGrrrl -- just a silly internet joke that's funny exactly bc of how asinine it is. have more fun!
Chief Broseff or drinking Pepsi from a Coca Cola glass
NowI'mMe poo on you
@@DrummerGrrrl you must be fun at the parties you never get invited to
A supreme technician with amazing control of the dynamics without beating you over the head with volume!!!!!!!! It's obvious why he played on soooooooooooooooo many sessions!!! There are very few drummers who I would pay to attend their solo concert. Bernard is one of the few!!! Bernard's wisdom is absolutely priceless!!!
4000 albums!!!!! Genius!!! Im listening to every word never missing a beat
true legend the king of groove . one of john bonhams biggest influences .
Bulletproof way to have a smile plastered on your face for 70 minutes: this video.
This man is absolutely amazing. What a great personality, great musician.
Him, Jeff Porcaro and John Bonham. Masters of the groove.
Rick Osborn and Steve gadd ;)
Shrink1061 in gadd we trust
Stewart copeland id put in that catagory too!
Nate Smith too!
He and Bonham inspire Porcaro to create the Rosanna shuffle!
"You make people dance, you automatically got a gig." Absolutely true!
That moment he stopped and said "You always gotta remember where one is" seemed like it should be in a commercial lol legend
He is the most in pocket drummer i have heard
Class, soul, groove and joy.
Thank you Bernard Purdie!
ONE. OF THE. THE. BEST. VID. TO. WATCH. WHILE. HIGH.
I'm high right this minute. Aaaaand, you are 100% correct. Boop de boop doo dop scooby do do do uh hunh yeah yeah.
You may be right, but just listening to this got me high naturally
THE MAN IS WEARING COWBOY BOOTS FOR GOD'S SAKE.
Mike Smith he’s my teacher and he always tells me to wear leather sole shoes when I drum so my feet slide around the pedals better
So do I. Try it sometime, Mike.
Is yo suuurprahsed Ah can afford ‘em baaaaas?
He’s da man! That’s why
But they are not running shoes LOL
Thank you so much for this Drumeo, 52 years old and still trying to perfect the 'Purdie shuffle', what a man.
Wonderful musician. He simply got the feeling, not only the technique.
THANK YOU ALL
He is someone everybody would love to have as a grandpa! He‘s cool, fun and full of wisdom. I loved every time he spoke knowledge to all of us.
Leave a comment here on your favourite part of the lesson for your chance to win a signed copy of Bernard's book, "Let The Drums Speak". We'll choose the winner by July 15th.
Drumeo Quick question jared, the giveaway is worldwide? I'm from Argentina, it would be great winning that book, thanks!
Lorenzo G - Yep, worldwide!
White man can't groove! It's mesmerising.
Drumeo Favourite part? It's Bernard freakin' Purdie! That's my favourite part.
Who downvoted this video? This man is a legend!
OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!!
I second that!
I can't breathe - this guy... wow, to see a drummer with so much joy, talent and skill is pure happiness
It's so hard to get through this. I can only watch about 15 minutes before I have to pause and go to the drum set. Awesome video!
I know!!! I am right with you!
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie.
WHAT higher praise IS there? :)
Like the songs that come on amd make me go "WHERES my BASS!?!?"
This guy is infectious. That talent. That joy. That soul!!! So great
the greatest drummers play what we all can play but record perfect...they bring life to the notes...you never hear anyone lay down a ghost shuffle like this anymore...pocket player...everything he did was based off a groove time and feel pulse...we see why the studio loves him and songs...so much space a dynamics to breath...he aint ever gonna play prog rock but found a home with popular music
I want to thank drumeo and Mr. Purdie for this absolute brilliant experience. This video is simply amazing. Very deep. Again, thank you drumeo for making this happen. And thanks to Mr. Purdie for the shuffle and this stunning lesson. Have Fun, Folks!
the man just oozes charisma
As a senior drummer and former CBGB band member, I find Bernard's calm focus and humor to be helpful as I run after that bus that left the depot years ago. A true drummer must be comfortably able to play all kinds of music, and Bernard's work keeps the road wide and open.
over 4000 albums!!!! amazing! And he looks like he is always having fun
Omar Torrance If people learned to be more like Bernard, the world would be a much better place.
Liked the video before it even started....because it's Bernard Purdie
25:44 "when you´re gonna be funky..."
the perfect mix of rhythm, feeling, experience and expression!
Now that's a drummer!
Drumming with heart and the hands and feet follow
What a frigging legend! A true icon of the drumming world! His attitude is infectious, ever since i picked up a pair of stick 25 years ago i have been a huge fan of the legend that is this man.
It is an honor to watch this lesson.
Thank you for sharing Drumeo.

Hypnotized. This man is not playing the instrument ....he is one with the instrument. Very musical. Brilliant.
I almost cry when he said Brazil. GREETINGS FROM BRAZIL DRUMEO!!
Bernard Purdie is like the great uncle to the drumming community.
Absolutely amazing! True Legend. The joy you bring by doing what you love is absolutely incredible!!!
75 yrs old and going strong! He has a point about the sneakers. Love that Purdie shuffle at the end. Reminds me of "Home at Last" on the Aja album.
He sounds crazy and old, yet I have so much respect for him.. this is rad. Just goes to show that there are so many different "right" ways of approaching a single craft.
insaneintherainmusic He's actually the same age as Ginger Baker surprisingly.
He is the king of rhythm and the godfather of groove. The guy is a walking talking metronome, and humble as high heaven.
+insaneintherainmusic Fantastic musician. "Crazy' and "old" in a very positive sense.
Watch his older videos...He has ALWAYS been like this! And it's AWESOME!
Brandon Crimmins Lol
OMG this guy is by far the greatest drummer of all time, and I’ve watched them all!
"All" would be hundreds of drummers, beginning with Baby Dodds.
I love how hyped he is. it inspires me so much
I love how Bernard is so passionate and laid back while drumming. I find it amazing how he can really get into a beat and how he can just build onto it. Bernard "Pretty" Purdie is truly an amazing drummer.
How can you not have a big smile on your face watching this guy play.
It's all about the groove and feel. Mr. Purdie shows exactly how it's done. He is a big influence on my playing. Thanks for the Awesome video.
OMG, Im wondering if this has got to be the longest solo known to mankind! Its my dream to be able to retain that many of beats, as Bernard. That Shuffle is Iconic. This Guy puts so much fun in Drumming. One of my favorite teachers, as well as drummers!
One of the best to do it for sure. In da pocket. Truly feels his groves.
Great man full of energy. Amazing drummer.
Bernard Purdie is a boss
Journey is the term, Bernard makes you feel like he is in your living room, so comfortable to follow and understand. He is always in motion, but not busy and the rhythms that he produces are awesome. I will watch for his next "Journey".
Every musician can love great musicians, anyone can love a great person--this guy is both. I'm not even in the room and I'm smiling behind this screen, I can't image what it was like to be in that room with him. It's always great when your idols aren't just amazing at what they do, they're also role models in who they are as a person. You're the best, Purdie...!
Solid as!
And just to add, I think it's equally wonderful that the folks at Drumeo never interrupt an amazing jam and just let it flow.
I liked the part of the video where he played drums.
Josh Woodley me too
@Black Vitriol well i am a heavy metal guy , i love funk and Purdie ...
@Black Vitriol serious question: are you ten years old? Because being this offended people like music you don't stops being acceptable around then.
OMG WHY OH WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO GO TO A RACIAL THING? MAN DAMN LETS JUST ENJOY ONE ANOTHERS CRAFT. YES IM A BLACK MAN AND NEIL IS MY FAVORITE.
He’s an old school dude that was early to the party and that is awesome!
Oh that soft sound of the bass..
Drumeo "Don't worry 'bout them ghost notes... Ain't nothing but rebound."
He also produced everyone... That's why he's on everything :)
A drummer that makes me FEEL something! A rarity. Love Purdie! Solid, hypnotic, tasteful, well-balanced GROOVE!
This is really what a lesson is. Amazing drummer. A teacher for every drummer, no matter his skills.
It's impossible to not smile watching this man! Bernard Purdie is a true legend.
28:00 looks and sounds like so much fun. He's always made me want to go practice. Haha gotta go practice.
He always plays everything at the right volume. That is a pro...
If Buddha had a band - this would be his drummer
Nah Chris hakius 😛
Him or gadd lol
Who would Mohammed's be?
@ what are you even saying
@@foot9004 you can't read engrish?
"Have fun with it": Sound advice from a sound drummer spreading pleasantry in sound around. Thank you sir Bernard Lee "Pretty" Purdie !! You literally bring joy to life from beats for hearts to seek what is fun in a drum making it all that much better
Favorite part? It's the living legend! As a drummer, Bernard Purdie is a reason to play and also a source of great inspiration!
So clever.
this is maybe the coolest guy that ever lived
Of all the videos Drumeo has done this my favorite. He mastered finesse.
