5 - Donnie Darko (I just found out Arrow is releasing it in April).
Good choices. I also want Basic Instinct, Showgirls, Striptease, Knock Knock, and Original Sin. We need some knockers on 4K too.

There Will Be Blood would be a gorgeous 4K release, likewise with The Master. Both films are just visually fantastic.

Ya we are getting fairly close to all of Kubricks films on 4K. Definitely have all his best known films on 4K now which is awesome.
@@chrisd6736 Really all there is left is eyes wide shut besides some of his black and white films and Barry lyndon which has a criterion Blu-ray with a 4K scan
@@nationalcoasternews5798- ya I have the criterion Barry Lyndon Blu-ray which already looks great as is. And some of the older black and white films like “the killing” aren’t going to benefit quite as much from 4K so there is a chance we will never get those. They definitely wouldn’t sell as well as some of his better known films. I could see them being released perhaps as part of a large set though. That would be cool.

Catalog 4K's for the win in 2021. I am enjoying how this format when done right can bring some of these classics back to life .

Fuck, i picked it up for like $9 a few years ago on Blu-ray. Didn't know I snagged a short-timer.
The thing is i wanted to grab the American standard release because it had both cuts. I'm in the UK and the only release which has both cuts here is the Zavvi steelbook. I waited too long 😩
Still waiting on Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown.

Man, I really want Ben Hur to get a 4K release. It’s one of the few Ultra Panavision films out there and would probably look amazing.
I saw The Ten Commandments in 4K in the theater a couple years ago. It looks fantastic! Glad this is being released to the home market.
Gravity is the most interesting one for me. I bet it will look and sound great. Shawshank is a must too.

Good Burger is definitely day one. I found the entire “Are you afraid of the Dark” blu ray set on eBay. So definitely looking to get more of my childhood favorites in HD.

Great video! Looking forward to a lot of these and also I now know what to avoid in Bluray for my back catalog in favor of the upcoming 4K releases. Seriously hope the next Kubrick after A Clockwork Orange is Eyes Wide Shut for Christmas 2021.

Love that Japanese "Back to the Future" Hoodie!!!! Yes! Day one for Good Burger all the way!...I think Criterion Collection releases are worth it anyway for the unique extras, but with that awesome cinematography, the Do the Right Thing 4K release should be great as well! Holy crap I this is going to be a great year! With so many great releases, I’ll have to save most of these for Black Friday! But for Good, the Bad and the Ugly, that’ll have to be a day one!
I want the whole Coen Brother catalog in 4k. Miller's Crossing, Raising Arizona, Fargo to start with.
hopefully they will also do Beyond Thunderdome so i can have the whole Mad Max Series in 4K

I'd love Road Warrior in both its American cut and slightly extended Mad Max 2 Aussie cut. I like the American Road Warrior metallic chrome title better, and the bits of gratuitous gore cut for the American Road Warrior just make for a tighter film.
Very excited about Shawshank Redemption, Gattaca, and Clockwork Orange. Looking forward to your reviews to know whether it is worth upgrading from my HD blu-rays.

Great channel, man! I have just recently started getting into 4k movies. I'm trying to get movies that I just have on Dvd, or movies that I don't own. There are some pretty awesome collections out there though. The Shining, was one of my recent purchases, and man, It's unreal how great it looks! I definitely will be keeping up with this channel for the latest 4k news!

Road Warrior is the only 'eye popping' of these movies. Especially the scene where the trucker falls on Max, with his eyes popped out!

I've immediately pre-ordered Gattaca when it was announced by the end of last month. The same goes for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The moment it was announced, I immediately pre-ordered it. I hope you're right about the other two movies of the trilogy. I've been waiting for this trilogy to get a 4k Blu-ray release since the day 4k Blu-ray was announced as a new format for physical media. At least we're getting The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Hopefully it'll sell well and we'll indeed be getting the whole trilogy.

Really happy to hear Godzilla is getting the 4k treatment, although I kind of expected one to be released alongside Godzilla vs. Kong; still happy to hear it confirmed.
I'm really hoping a few catalog titles get released this year in either 4k or blu ray: Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Ghost and the Darkness, The Crow, and The 13th Warrior are all titles I've been hoping for a decent HD version for a while now, so keeping my fingers crossed that any (or all) get some love this year.
Gravity, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, A Clockwork Orange and WW84 are my anticipated 4K releases
