It is a big lie. Did you understand Arabic before you went to Mecca to perform Hajj? You once said in one of your interviews that God answered all the supplications you made during your pilgrims to Makkah. So does that mean one alfa or Imam made those requests on your behalf? It is obvious your wife is stronger than you in her faith, and you have chosen to follow her. Stop this excuse of not understanding the Arabic language. Is your dad or mum a graduate of Arabic school? It is your choice, but stop deceiving people with these your filmps execuse. There are a lot of unlettered people who practise Christianity. They didn't change to idol worshppers just because they could not read the Bible.
Christains dont pray in Hebrew or Greek. Those were the original lang of the bible. Unlettered Xtains have Bible in Yoruba, are preached to in Yoruba, pray in Yoruba. Islam holy lang is Arabic, wh is why you ppl still pray in Arabic till date. Most of you that attended Ile Keu as kids didnt understand what you read them. You only crammed the verses and poured to pass you Arabic classes. That might be the case with him. Chill
@blessingajisafe6915 unlettered have Bible in Yoruba? Do you even know the meaning of unlettered? Someone who can neither read nor write, how can such a person read the Yoruba Bible? And who told you every practising Muslim attended ile kewu? Ayuba is only giving flimsy excuses. It is just like a born Christian telling you he converted to an Idol worshpper just because he could not read or understand the Bible, and it is easier for him to learn Ifa or he finds it easier to communicate to his God through 'opele' and 'ayajo'. Will that be an excuse for any serious minded person?
Insightful interview as usual..Teju is an interviewer who is grounded,he asks,he lets them talk,he listens and does follow up..younger ones Pls learn..
Respect to you baba, ayuba is my dad's favourite musician... Those days in festac he normally sing/play for my dad during his child naming ceremony then. More grace baba, you're a Legend
Adewale Ayuba has never been your typical Fuji musician. He has always been very different, cool, calm, well grounded. No scandals or messing around with women. No alcohol, no drugs. An absolute gentleman, committed to family values and personal discipline. God bless you immensely
Mr Ayuba, your misconception about your former religion is extreme. In that religion, you don't need to kneel before anyone to pray for you. You ask God directly what you want in any language. In their book as well, God says that you should seek me, know me, and the Kingdom of God will be yours, only you didn't seek him then. God answers anyone's prayer, whether Muslim or Christian. You can't say that it was because you converted that God answered your prayer. What about Nigerian christians and churches against Tinubu and Buhari. According to some of your early interviews, you said it was your igbo wife who asked you to convert before she can marry you. Above all, next time they ask about your religion, you should just stop at "it was my choice and it is private." I love you and proud of you.
Good point, sir. The point I take from Ayuba response about access to God and all, is that he wasnt a good muslim before. He was only born into a muslim family and socialised with the religion growing up. He said he didnt understand Arabic, which means he didnt do well or even go to Ile Keu at all. And I also think that his wife and kids are Christains, so it was easy for him to switch. That said, he is still our man!
The issue with religion here is because we don't train or open allow our children to embrace it on a personal level. We don't allow them to know that parentage and religion different. Our culture can influence parentage but not religion. If you don't grow up with religion on a personal level. It brings about distortion.

Adewale Ayuba is a fantastic man. I am not surprised, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. I first met him at his mother's funeral at lkenne in Ogun State, and the impression he made on me that day has remained indelible till now. I'll love to contact him personally. I am a great grandmother, so no fear.
I grew up on Adewale Ayuba's music. My Dad played his music and that of KSA repeatedly and I fell in love with him particularly. As much as a fan my father was, it was nothing compared to me. I knew his songs line for line and I was a subject of the family jokes about my love for him...
Hello always awesome tuning in but please work on the sound just may be the bass from the mic is too much... it is not just pleasant listening to other pods. Just my opinion Legend ❤️❤️❤️❤️✌🏼

Educative and lovely interview, I love when Wale said, " the fear of God, is the beginning of wisdom", that he fears the repercussions of commiting sin!. More wisdom, more money, more blessings, more understanding, more knowledge and more grace and wins from above. No wonder he's got peace of mind 🎉.
He didn't explain adultery in Yoruba in detail. Agbere is a contraption of agbe-ere, something that shortens your profit. Shina is from ishina, to derail. May God help us.
I have been listening to Chief Ayuba music since I was small!! Cant even believe he is 59 now!! Remarkable! This is one of those Interview I really enjoyed watching from A to Z
Adewale Ayuba, I'm your fan, but you were asked a simple question about K1 ; I didn't expect you to say only God knows who started first. You answered your qns already about age differences perfectly. Teju was asking you about professional music. For instance every kids played football at early stage of their lives, but doesn't makes them a footballer. Most Kids started singing from churches, mosques and schools, but that doesn't makes the a musician. You alredy paid due respect to K1 in your first record titled " Akoja Ewe" in 1985. You people are so matured and blessed that you allowing the public to drag you unnecessarily. God bless you Chief.

Nothing is wrong with Juju. Fuji music makes headlines because there is always a war going on btw some of them at every point. K1vsObesere, Paso vs Osupa, K1 vs Osupa, etc. Juju musicians just do their works and nobody is fighting anybody. There are hundreds of Juju musicians with big bands in Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun and Lagos States.
FYI, you don’t need to “send someone to God” in Islam. That’s gross misconception. Arabic or not, you can equally communicate personally to God in Islam. Wish you all the best sir!
I am not surprised that Mr Johnson bowed to K1 because I know him to as a very humble man to the core. However, I can tell you that K1 is never in such humble character. 😮
You are putting the blames on your parents that didn't gives you enough teaches of Islam..that's why you converted to Christianity...no problem..we shall all be in our graves differently. I prayed God gives us all paradise ..
We have a lot of Americans who are Muslims. Nobody can claim he converted to another religion because his parents didn't teach him ways of Islam. And it is ignorance to say that he is blessed because he converted to Islam. Chineses are Buhdists, Indians are Hinduists. Japanese are Shintoists. And they are all blessed. Practicing Islam is not for the lazy. However, you don't need to be able to understand Arabic to pray to God as a Muslim. It is ignorance of Ayuba to say he converted because he did not understand Arabic. Conversely, he needs to be truthful about the reason he converted which was his wife. Religion is personal.
Mr teju. Nice job ..... Please the low frequency is a bit high and the high frequency is also high..... It sounds "boxy and strangled". Add the midrange and cut some extreme lows and highs... That Jim iyke audio settings is superb. Thanks.
Musically and age wise Wasiu Ayinde is his senior, though Adewale Ayube has been around for so long and a legend in his own right but Wasiu has got a foothold and fame in the industry before him, this shouldn't make an headline if you are a Fuji enthusiast. Teju is a bridge builder btw the new generation and the old

Hypocrisy of the highest order!!! It is well with you ooo Ayuba!!!
How?
FYI, you don’t need to “send someone to God” in Islam. That’s gross misconception. Arabic or not, you can equally communicate personally to God in Islam. Wish you all the best sir!
I am not surprised that Mr Johnson bowed to K1 because I know him to as a very humble man to the core. However, I can tell you that K1 is never in such humble character. 😮
I love this podcast in particular.
Egbon Ayuba, well done on the aspects of being a good husband and father. Also on fearing God. Please keep it up and rely on God and his Christ alone.
The man who draws my attention to fuji music with his decency, no scandal, no atrocities. He's a respected fuji musician.
Mr Ayuba is one of the most humble person I have ever met.
Other Fuji musicians should follow your foot steps (Omoluwabi)
Although everyone has a past. But has Ayuba not had a son with a lady in Ikenne before he married the American woman?
Tejuuuu no dey deceive yourself, you are ooooooold. 50 years no be moimoin na😂😂😂😂. Biko, let's embrace our old age peacefully, jejely and nwanyolly
50,how? Teju was born in 1979 & hence he's now 45 & not 50.
@@abimbolamosesadelaja1521Don't argue. . He's 94 or 104. But does it really matter? May God continue to protect him, Amen
😂😂😂😂😂
What are you defending sef?
Intermittent fasting is very good for the body. But some people think eating heavy foods is good
Interesting and excellent
Mr teju. Nice job ..... Please the low frequency is a bit high and the high frequency is also high..... It sounds "boxy and strangled".
Add the midrange and cut some extreme lows and highs...
That Jim iyke audio settings is superb.
Thanks.
YORUBA adage said " O wa owo lo, o pade iyi, lona ki ni o ti fe fi owo se, bi ko se pe ko fi ra iyi".
Musically and age wise Wasiu Ayinde is his senior, though Adewale Ayube has been around for so long and a legend in his own right but Wasiu has got a foothold and fame in the industry before him, this shouldn't make an headline if you are a Fuji enthusiast. Teju is a bridge builder btw the new generation and the old
Who asked you o.... Does it matter who seniors who
The bass is too much. Nice production though.
Mr Johnson GOD bless you, you have said this Christianity very well!!! Thank you!!!!

Listen to 42.00 to hear where he talked about His Religion and switch. I love this man & his honesty! Language had been a barrier and it is only sane to communicate in the best way you feel is best to communicate/pray to your creator!! Nice podcast, Teju!
