It is a big lie. Did you understand Arabic before you went to Mecca to perform Hajj? You once said in one of your interviews that God answered all the supplications you made during your pilgrims to Makkah. So does that mean one alfa or Imam made those requests on your behalf? It is obvious your wife is stronger than you in her faith, and you have chosen to follow her. Stop this excuse of not understanding the Arabic language. Is your dad or mum a graduate of Arabic school? It is your choice, but stop deceiving people with these your filmps execuse. There are a lot of unlettered people who practise Christianity. They didn't change to idol worshppers just because they could not read the Bible.

Christains dont pray in Hebrew or Greek. Those were the original lang of the bible. Unlettered Xtains have Bible in Yoruba, are preached to in Yoruba, pray in Yoruba. Islam holy lang is Arabic, wh is why you ppl still pray in Arabic till date. Most of you that attended Ile Keu as kids didnt understand what you read them. You only crammed the verses and poured to pass you Arabic classes. That might be the case with him. Chill

@blessingajisafe6915 unlettered have Bible in Yoruba? Do you even know the meaning of unlettered? Someone who can neither read nor write, how can such a person read the Yoruba Bible? And who told you every practising Muslim attended ile kewu? Ayuba is only giving flimsy excuses. It is just like a born Christian telling you he converted to an Idol worshpper just because he could not read or understand the Bible, and it is easier for him to learn Ifa or he finds it easier to communicate to his God through 'opele' and 'ayajo'. Will that be an excuse for any serious minded person?

Mr Ayuba, your misconception about your former religion is extreme. In that religion, you don't need to kneel before anyone to pray for you. You ask God directly what you want in any language. In their book as well, God says that you should seek me, know me, and the Kingdom of God will be yours, only you didn't seek him then. God answers anyone's prayer, whether Muslim or Christian. You can't say that it was because you converted that God answered your prayer. What about Nigerian christians and churches against Tinubu and Buhari. According to some of your early interviews, you said it was your igbo wife who asked you to convert before she can marry you. Above all, next time they ask about your religion, you should just stop at "it was my choice and it is private." I love you and proud of you.

Good point, sir. The point I take from Ayuba response about access to God and all, is that he wasnt a good muslim before. He was only born into a muslim family and socialised with the religion growing up. He said he didnt understand Arabic, which means he didnt do well or even go to Ile Keu at all. And I also think that his wife and kids are Christains, so it was easy for him to switch. That said, he is still our man!

    • @omosanyaabiodun3760

The issue with religion here is because we don't train or open allow our children to embrace it on a personal level. We don't allow them to know that parentage and religion different. Our culture can influence parentage but not religion.
If you don't grow up with religion on a personal level. It brings about distortion.

You answered your qns already about age differences perfectly. Teju was asking you about professional music. For instance every kids played football at early stage of their lives, but doesn't makes them a footballer. Most Kids started singing from churches, mosques and schools, but that doesn't makes the a musician. You alredy paid due respect to K1 in your first record titled " Akoja Ewe" in 1985. You people are so matured and blessed that you allowing the public to drag you unnecessarily. God bless you Chief.

@@Realomoluabi4sure Don't mind him ; at every opportunity they have to granting an interview they all always want to rewrite history. God has done so much for all you at this stage, why perambulating and fabricating? Adewale Ayuba as much as I love him always appeared digressing and divagating from the truth. In case of religion every heard your testimony in your church that you were able to pay off your overdue bank loan when you turned christain; now he was saying different things that he couldn't recites holy quran as if there is no English version of the Holy Quran or perhaps God doesn't understand all languages. This is the religion you had practiced all your life untill less than 5 years ago you turned christain. Like you said; Religion is personal relationship with God ,but be steadfast at any given time for public opinion or interview. I'm a Christian by the special Grace of God and happy for you either. Mind you all you have become today in terms of fame and affluence is by God's grace through your latter faith.

You are putting the blames on your parents that didn't gives you enough teaches of Islam..that's why you converted to Christianity...no problem..we shall all be in our graves differently. I prayed God gives us all paradise ..

We have a lot of Americans who are Muslims.
Nobody can claim he converted to another religion because his parents didn't teach him ways of Islam.
And it is ignorance to say that he is blessed because he converted to Islam. Chineses are Buhdists, Indians are Hinduists.
Japanese are Shintoists. And they are all blessed. Practicing Islam is not for the lazy.
However, you don't need to be able to understand Arabic to pray to God as a Muslim. It is ignorance of Ayuba to say he converted because he did not understand Arabic. Conversely, he needs to be truthful about the reason he converted which was his wife.
      Religion is personal.

Musically and age wise Wasiu Ayinde is his senior, though Adewale Ayube has been around for so long and a legend in his own right but Wasiu has got a foothold and fame in the industry before him, this shouldn't make an headline if you are a Fuji enthusiast. Teju is a bridge builder btw the new generation and the old
