I'd argue the more iconic moment in the get a teabag into the mug task is Frank Skinner saying 'some idiot would take the first 45 minutes to realise you need to wet the bags' cut to Romesh realising that 40 minutes in.
Also Romesh arguing about cardboard boxes.
There is a light switch there. I don't think it probably is. But it would be silly to not at least try. It's much easier with the light on. Every one will do that.

The Nish-Mark song is of course iconic on it's own, but it's also the culmination of absolutely masterful character development for those two across the whole series. It's perfect.
Genuinely! This element running through the whole series, Mark and Nish's friendship all culminating is this is why S5 edges out S9 and S7 for me

I absolutely, love taskmaster and there are so many amazing moments, but that song has to be the best thing contestants have done.
It's not as funny as other stuff, it's nowhere near as clever as most, but it's just brilliant

Mawan's use of the duck as a distraction was genius. The cow looking like plastic might have been a tip off if people didn't spend their time looking at the duck.
Agreed also just noticed there's a shadow on his top of the small cow. (Saw this clip so many times as well)

I actually noticed right away it was a different colour, but still didn't think it was a small cow in a close up until the reveal.
Honestly, I just thought it was a giant plastic cow. Like, a life size plastic cow wouldn't even be top ten weirdest props for the show

Here's the thing with Mark and Nish, to truly appreciate how iconic this moment was, you need the context of how completely shit they were during the rest of the series 😂 and then THAT happened

Humans really are complex creatures, aren't we?
Given what we think we know of Mozart's sense of humor and personality, there's a non-zero chance he'd have loved the Hangover movies. If anything it probably doesn't have enough poop jokes for him.

The suspense of Mel in that car continuously talking about the tiny gap they were going to is I think one of the best examples of tension building in any TV show ever 😂
Doc Brown doesn't get nearly enough love as a contestant. He gave it 112%, and was an absolute hoot.
Shame he didn't like his time on the show, but I understand the pain of watching yourself fucking up and make unwise decisions over and over again out of panic.
Truth. And the show was still figuring itself out and gaining its feet in series 2. I'd love to see him back.

I always feel like "We are the Diverse Stripes: I'm Jack Brown and this is my sister wife Mark" is an underrated joke, because we're all so looking forward to hearing the song again.
Few people understand how Meg White can be both a wife and a sister to Jack, she's just very acrobatic.

@@JudyCZ originally a joke between Jack, Meg and the White Stripes fans. Trying to give you enough to go on if you wanted to look it up. Respect to Meg who isn't a particular good drummer to be fair, but deserves credit for the incredible sparse rock sound of the band.

To me Rosalind is the most iconic task ever. But... But... Even though Mark and Nish clearly made the better song, nobody can convince me that "f*ing nightmare" isn't the more iconic moment!

I feel like the contrast between the two songs is a big part of what made it iconic
I personally think Mark and Nish performances is more iconic, but I agree that the whole task is iconic and they should include both.
A key part of it is how spectacularly Mark and Nish had been messing up the other tasks. Expectations were low, and then they came out with this genuinely brilliant response to the task.

Bob whispering at the beginning "Rosalind.....Roslind's a nightmare" killed me and the lyrics were incredibly funny. This was a task that had no clear winner.
However....
I do agree with the comment that no one expected Mark and Nish to crush it like they did. Their melody was better and they played instruments. They get the bonus point. But thanks, I'm gonna go find that episode. 😊

For me, the real iconic moment of the tea bag toss was Frank saying something like "someone will probably spend 30 minutes throwing the teabags and then realise they'd be better wet". Followed by a perfect cut to Romesh saying exactly that.
Has there been a taskmaster controversies compilation? Attempts like Joe’s potato toss and Josh’s tea throw. Pretty much the times there’s a split opinion amongst contestants and Greg.

Daisy was seven months pregnant when filming the studio bits. She was laughing so hard that both Greg and Alex were worried that she'd go into labour on set and they'd have to deliver the baby.

Mark and Nish's song is THE most iconic moment in all of Taskmaster, i've watched all seasons up to 2022 and it's still my favorite moment of the show.

I love how the way Rosalind answered the questioned about the other two in her quartet being a couple was “they used to be but then he got septicemia and lost the use of three fingers . . .” as though the couple broke up because of that. I understood what she meant, but the other interpretation, well, struck me.
Ed Gamble and the chickpea task was pretty iconic as well :P

Nish and Mark song will forever be the best moment overall. The story of them two screwing everything up, everybody thought they will be last pretty much every task and then absolutely nailing that song to perfection.

I mean you only have to do a bit of digging on Doc Brown to realize that nursery rhyme task was really playing to his strengths. That was basically what he does in his stand up routines and its brilliant!
