I was in the studio audience for Josh Widdicombes counting tasks. The horrified reactions from everyone was incredible. Pretty sure looking back on it that when the spaghetti hoops were revealed that Josh knew the rice would be as well.
The thing that makes Tim Vine's stationary task so good is that I've seen in several times, but I never remember the pun, but every time he reveals it I think "that's actually pretty clever."
I saw a similar comment on another video, but the fact that Josh did multiple solo counting tasks and didn't immediately speak up about that tells me that he figured they were setting up for his other segments and didn't want to ruin their buildup. Like, after the baked beans thing, he could have been like, "Did anyone else count spaghetti hoops as well!?" But instead he just sat back and waited for the next bit to appear naturally. The editors must have metadata on each task so they can play around and generate fun groupings.
I'm absolutely certain they edit it all together to make it the funniest and definitely not in any chronological order.
i can imagine aisling’s mum going around in the town with the pineapple and telling everyone ”i’m helping my daughter with a task from taskmaster. yes, THE taskmaster.”
I saved a gif of Joe Lycett smiling, just for any time I needed it
I need thee every hour
26:26 I love that he's laughing and you can see him read the room and become serious
The best thing about Josh counting the beans etc. Is he also got a tattoo of Greg's name on his foot in the same season. Like how sadistic.
Must say the Track suit pun has me laughing every time. It's so unexpected and perfect!
Love coming to this old video and seeing people complaining about Aisling getting points when Mark didn’t…guys, she didn’t get any points. Her mom got a round of applause.
Me, banging two pots together: PORPOISES ARENT FISH
dolphinately not
The counting task is such a great piece of comedy. The shock of knowing only Josh did it, the realization that he has to do another one, and doing it the third time with the worst thing to count. Brilliant.
"I'lL gO aNd GEt mE cOAt"
Easily my favourite of this is Jon's, he did those 4 tasks so well. Especially the make up tutorial, what a sport
Edit: whaaat it's not on here
BARUtubbig you’re right, i cant believe they missed that one!
Yeahh, shame it's not here though.
You could have watched before commenting
@@swanningabout Have you come to the comments section exclusively to make petty replies?
@@MisterAppleEsq Nope. It's just true. He made a comment before watching. Just daft.
I would watch the entire hour of Paul Chowdry in the bouncy castle, possibly daily.
“I just thought you were bad at speaking.”
I never noticed this till now: if we’re to assume Josh is reading the task verbatim, his counting tasks have no declaration of winning (“fastest wins” etc.). The trick was hiding in plain sight 😂😂😂
Stumbling across a clip of mark's text task was what hooked me into this show. Every aspect of this task is incredible, even out of context.
No points for the texts was awful but it's lawful, when you think about it
I know 😂
When you really have a think about it!
he does mind it 😔
The perfect illustration of Lawful Evil.
Josh frustration increasing is amazing and yet his technique kept improving he really is worthy of the title season winner lol

I always love the reaction shots of the others when they realize something is off
Josh's range of reactions still makes me laugh hardest at anything I've seen in the show. Mark's reactions are great as well ... and only later did I realize that he and Alex are best mates! Genuine betrayal! :D
My favorite thing about these tasks is when the video starts playing, the other contestants are confused and don't remember doing it, and the one person realizing they were the only one
I love how Alex specifically chose Mark, his long time friend, to bully with an individual friend 😂 I’m sure tue revenge would have been of cosmic proportions.
"ill go and get me coat" is legendary
Absolutely impossible to watch that Mel montage without smiling
“I just thought you were bad at speaking” lmaoo
Each time he smiled at the camera was even more hilarious.
