Bravo! These machines are amazing. I retired from a forge shop. Not a machinist. They were still doing repair and some resinks on the VTL when I left. Everything else was done on cnc mills and lathes.
Fantastic job :) would be awesome if you could get blue and red looking tempering colours on the part, but with a solid piece of metal I figure that would be really difficult.
They wasn't sure why it was canceling it out for the way I was doing it. It shouldn't have been but it was. I finally used a contouring cycle which allows you to place the g-code for your contour into a subprogram. once I did that and it actually started reading the G41/G42 I had in the code.

I use a 6090 cnc router to work mainly on wood and there is so much i can apply from this video. From the stock preparation to some engraving tips and tools to use. Awesome video.
Awesome! This is why we do it! Thanks for the comment
I am a machine designer and part time machinist.. this was such a good work and the dedication was absurd.
Awesome thank you. Makes me swell with pride to see someone have such dedication to make our flag from such material. You have not only demonstrated the American spirit but your steadfast resolve to make it happen. Awesome job.
Single word of appreciation "amazing".
Thinking out of the box at very highest level
Thank you!
Majestic! Beautiful job with such a great surface finish! Don''t think I can do that on my manual Bridgeport LOL!
If I had the bucks, I would buy this awesome piece of art. Those cuts are clean.
Bucks? You're gonna have to pay with bears.
Totally awesome, this is definitely the most fantastic creative CNC job I have ever seen. If there is a "CNC Gold Medal Of The Year" you guys win it. And whoever owns this beautiful flag will soon see it greatly increase in value. It's a work of art. However, as I watched it I was thinking "One tiny mistake and it's all ruined! There is no patching up mistakes!" But you obviously have it all covered, what a great job.
That is truly a BEAUTIFUL finished product! One of the coolest things I've ever seen on RUclips.
Your team does amazing toleranced finished work that something your company can be extremely proud of!!
Awesome work Team!!😁👌🏽
The part looks amazing! Congratulations. What's a bit missing from my side is the programming, especially for the problem with the automatic tool radius correction. I think this videos should also have some content for learning purposes? Also the part is awesome, but faraway from parts we are using in the industry.
Jessie this is top quality work. The programming is awesome and the finished grinding to almost mirror shine. Loved the strips and I think they're really amazing. Perfect stars.
Did you make it for someone who ordered it or make it just because someone said you couldn't make it?
Sure would look great hanging on a wall display.
This has got to be the best video I have ever see you do. The editing process is spot on quality also. Enjoyed the longer video. Keep em coming.
looks like tooling there would be no reason to make out of 4140 otherwise
It seems impossible to not admire the ingenuity and craftsmanship throughout this video. Companies like Titan make the world a better place.
What amazes me is not the work you did but the guy who designed the machine you did it with. I watch automated machinery building car and trucks and monster presses. I want to meet the guys and gals that design that stuff. Ingenious!
That turned out awesome, I would love to have one like it. But I am sure it also cost as much as a new car so not in the cards but great job guys.
Beautiful piece of art!
Did the engraving leave any burrs after machining and did you consider grinding after all the engraving?
It did and I re-ran the program to clean it up. We wanted to reveal the engraving at the end is why we did it this way. If I did it again I would certainly engrave it before grinding
@@Jessie_Smith got it, very cool that Titans of CNC is willing to make masterpieces with CNC machines.
Making parts for the most demanding industries is very rewarding but being given the creative freedom to machine a piece of art like this is amazing.
Props to you and Titans of CNC, love content like this!
@@ryanromo4 Thank you! It is nice that we can do projects like this. I think it is very important to do these things because it renews your interest and passion.
Who is this person who said you can't? The actors in your marketing department?
This wreaks of tiktok &😂he sounds like Gomer pyle
By far the most amazingly beautiful piece of art that I have ever seen!!! SOMETHING LIKE THAT MAKES ME PROUD TO BE AMERICAN INSIDE AND OUT MY BROTHERS!!!! AWESOME WORK!!!!
Learned and started doing machine work ( manual ) in 1973 when i went into the U.S. Navy. Got out in 1981 and continued until 1991. 1991, went into CNC machining till i retired in 2021. It has to be your passion, not just a job!
This made me tear up a bit. So awesome. Keep pushing it fellas.
Was this to order or was it a test piece to see if it could be done because you smashed it,it looks amazing, you guys are killing it out there.
Ordered material special to see if it could be done. Jessie Killed it… Shows why he literally is one of the best machinists I have ever seen in the world.
Titan
That is amazing, great job.
Thank you!
Bravo!
These machines are amazing. I retired from a forge shop. Not a machinist. When I started all dies were sunk either on a Bullard VTL with a tracing head or Cincinnati hydrotel with tracing head. Had a couple big lathes that round dies were turned on as well.
They were still doing repair and some resinks on the VTL when I left. Everything else was done on cnc mills and lathes.
Fantastic job :) would be awesome if you could get blue and red looking tempering colours on the part, but with a solid piece of metal I figure that would be really difficult.
I was thinking the same. Cold blue for the blue and rust blue for red?
@@TgWags69 chemical blueing might be better indeed.
What did the manufacturer say about the grinding machine ignoring the compensation setting?
They wasn't sure why it was canceling it out for the way I was doing it. It shouldn't have been but it was. I finally used a contouring cycle which allows you to place the g-code for your contour into a subprogram. once I did that and it actually started reading the G41/G42 I had in the code.
The over the top American drama is so annoying.... 🙄
Great work! Machining for 33 years. Thats the best thing I love about this trade, can’t be done, hold my calipers.
Did and owned a precision grinding facility for 51 years (27 employees) sold and retired! Absolutely beautiful piece of work and made me very proud!
"they said it couldn't be done" who? Also, stop saying the same sensationalistic phrase, at least mix it up, down
first
Thanks
Wow, that is jaw dropping work. Your resilience paid off! A lesson to us all.
All I can say is just WOW! I've seen plenty of machining but this is nothing short of amazing!
Beautiful!!! greetings from Switzerland
I know absolutely nothing about machining like this....but I must say...WOW. Incredible work!
I’m no machinist, but I understand the hurdles you made.
The end result is freaking gorgeous!!
TITAN CNC is all about precision, accuracy and quality machining engineering. Any aircraft and aerospace manufacturer should trust this company as a reliable and trusted vendor!!
I love how you explain everything and show all the settings and specs!!!🙌🔥🙌
Absolutely beautiful!!!
I work with natural stone, but when I saw this in my feed I just had to leave a message. Because that is just awesome.
Martha Washington is giving you a victory salute from the great beyond...... What an awesome job...
AWSOME JOB. CNC machining has come a long way, but like you, I did what they said couldn't be done with CNC's 20 years ago!
Possible the coolest bit of machining I have ever seen. Extremely beautiful and a one off.
Literally... gave me chills... and a " lump of pride " in my throat while trying to hold back a tear... .
Absolutely beautiful. The things you machinists can do just never cease to amaze me! Well done!
first time i’ve ever seen a untied grinding machine on youtube! vary nice work! been running united grinding acna and tru techs for over 10 years. thanks for the content!
That piece is absolutely stunning!
Skill is being able to tell the computer what you really need and get it to produce. Well done!!
Awesome Machining. Great Skill and out of the BOX engineering. Outstanding result.
Don't' have the first clue about what you are doing. But, the face that humans can do this is fantastic. Without machinists we'd all be screwed. Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!
I work in a machine shop as fabricator and assembly of said parts. This was seriously awesome.
Amazing doesn't cut it... Can't think of a more complimentary word. Absolute perfection. Very relaxing for my OCD ...
I’m not even of the American 🇺🇸 variety but that looks cool AF! 🇬🇧
It is truly only the Titans that indulge themselves into what's concidered impossible by making way too cool stuff, just because they can. 👊🏽
Simply cool and challenging stuff you guys make... 💪🏽
10 of 10 just for being a Texan. 10000000 of 10 for the work. As a Veteran this is awesome!!
Brings back wonrderfull memorys back in 1989, when after 3 years passed out with Distinctions. Which showed I disbeleaves what can be done, and moved on to greater things!
I just stumbled across this. I am not a machinist but I can appreciate the effort and skill. The end result is AMAZING! Just WOW!!
Nice to see Kennametal machine tools being used - my dad worked for them in the UK for 25 years!
Amazing result. I always find it incredible that you Americans can do anything with the imperial system.
American flag! The perfect icon for this project. Your exemplary work here embodies the can do spirit of America. Thinking outside the box, getting the job done, never say never, thumbing your nose at the naysayers. Producing a product that is an inspiration for all. Well done! Congratulations you just raised the bar.
Brooooo, this is insane! As a musician ☺ i'm telling you: this is a piece of art! well done!
I am obsessed with your content, definitely the best and the only company I would want to work for and learn from.
