    I see there's some comments here about things like her not owning her actions, manipulative, she'll be back, blaming others, her need to take accountability, and thoughts on what she should be doing or saying instead. I get where this stuff is coming from. But I'd also like to point out a couple of things. She's very young, 22. I think it's worth putting that into perspective and reconsidering the whole picture. I think there's a lot of maturity expectations being put on her that people around her age often are still learning. People learn these things at different paces, and she's still too young to place so much judgment on her. I see what people in the comments are saying and what things she said show that. But to go further and interpret that into what's going to become of her is very presumptuous too soon to say. I also think some have missed the positive indicators and focused on the negative, only recognizing patterns they see in a generalized perception of a criminal or dysfunctional type of people. I understand she wants to look good in her interview and avoid saying things that shed her in a bad light, and that's where the manipulation sense comes in, but I think that can be looked into deeper. I can see why someone would do that, and it could be that her intentions are to avoid embarrassment or shame. This is an area of maturity and self-esteem that could use growth, but I don't think that makes her a malicious or devious manipulator. Also, she did say quite a few things that show she is thinking about her future and she's has already done a lot more that most people who become repeat offenders. There's a lot of statistics on people who take the wrong path in life, and they don't talk about the things she did. They often never had the opportunity of nurture to guide them, and it's an unfortunate cycle, But she said a lot of things that sound like good seeds have been planted. I think this experience could very well be a bad choice in her young life, but she has values like education, goals and family that can guide a person a long ways. She made and big mistake, but I think she has what it takes to recover, move on, learn, and be successful an thrive.

      That wall of text is extremely difficult to read. Perhaps edit your comment and break it into paragraphs.
      Every time there is a new point, make a break. So, new point, plus supporting sentences, makes a paragraph. Then when you go on to a new point, you make a new paragraph.
      Your comment is valid, but, I do also believe she'll be back. She doesn't have the passion of not wanting to come back, and she is very clearly still blaming others for her own choices. (Not once did she say, "I messed up and it is my own doings that led me to this place.")
      Anyway, take care, be well, and I hope you find my reply to your comment helpful, as it is intended.

      Wealthy, professional NPD parents are the first ones to turn their backs on you and call it "Tough Love" when you don't bow to their every whim. Ask my sister. Our dad promised to pay for college then failed to show up on the day she was supposed to start because he said she would never earn enough money if she studied social work like she wanted and refused to pay. As for me, he called one day out of the blue in September of my senior year and said, "As of today I'm not paying for your school or anything anymore." WTF. Not enough warning to get a no-interest student loan, a Pell grant, or any financial, no helpful attempts for me to make a budget, anything. I managed to survive by accumulating easily handed out student credit cards because banks had tables set up all over campus every day on my way to class (Then the sperm donor, who is a stockbroker millionaire and financial advisor) told me to file bankrupt before I even graduated because the creditors were calling chasing after me and I was so afraid... Yeah, cut of at the knees at age 23. Done and dusted before I even started my career. Even I knew better than that and spent my first 5 years of my career struggling and deeply in debt at 19% APR!!! Could never go out to lunch, drinks or bridal showers for coworkers. A really sad life... Not to mention Ohio Edison cut off my gas on 31 March -- the first legal day they can do it without anyone freezing to death -- even though it still snows through April there so I spent my last 3 months in an apartment with NO HEAT, NO HOT WATER for a shower, NO GAS FOR COOKING! The guys next door would pass me over a bucket of hot water every night so I could wash up the dishes. It's a damn miracle I even graduated and was so stupid back then to even invite my dad to the ceremony. Should have cut him off long ago. She's right not to trust her parents. To trust her instincts.

      Actually, inmates are just the opposite of genuine. Acting like they are is part of the manipulative game they're all playing. It's a skill they work to hone to perfection. I did some volunteer work at a state penitentiary. They teach you that inmates will do whatever they can to manipulate you into doing things for them. In time I ran into this with them myself. They act like your friend but there is a push for you to break rules like bringing things in for them. They're start out with something small, and then work their way up. If you put your foot down they'll threaten to rat you out based on what you had done for them already. This will at a minimum get you kicked out of whatever volunteer program you're involved in, and at a maximum you could end up being prosecuted for a crime.
      I was always polite with them, respectful, but would flat out refuse them keeping a smile on my face.

I took a 6 week course and a state board and that was it. It’s the hardest job on the planet. Mental and physically!! Nursing is a whole other ballgame and depending on her charges she may not be able to finish her degree. Especially if it’s felony charges. That being said….if she’s an addict, nursing isn’t the job for her. I know plenty of nurses that stold meds and lost their licenses and went to jail. Yes, I was wondering if you can be denied a nursing license or any license in the medical field, with a criminal background. Wasn't sure if that is different for different state licensing boards.

    • @davebrown8278
      @davebrown8278 Месяц назад

      In NYS you are denied your nursing license if convicted of crimes.You are asked this applying for your license. Neverless , if convicted post licensure, your are required to notify the nursing board.

      Not an uncommon presentation for the sociopath / narcissist. They fine tune, hone these skills for manipulating people, getting people to trust them.

    It amazes me, that she could smile for most of the interview. I haven‘t been in jail or in a similar situation, but it is hard to believe that she did the time she already did and didn‘t know, why she is still in jail. It is very hard to move on and make a fresh start.

    Mark asks her repeatedly what her biggest regret was and "the most important thing you've learned" in order to give her a chance to say "Oh yeah, wish I hadn't done the stuff that got me landed in jail, that was a bad idea and I'll never do that again!" Never once admits that she did anything wrong what so ever, despite landing in prison twice by 22. This is not the last time this woman will end up in jail.

    Don’t let what she’s saying now pull on your heart strings. She’s probably hurt a lot of people in her young life. The whole interview she has an underlying grin when she’s talking about her self.
