Omega only has the Snoopy Silver Award moon watch that trades higher than Msrp every other model besides the Snoopy trades way below Msrp which makes the dealers at Omega create a lot of shenanigans!!!! Far worse than Rolex!!!! Example the John Mayer Daytona, you know the one with the green dial DISCONTINUED!!!!!! By ROLEX to stop dealers SHENANIGANS!!!!! OMEGA fuels the SHENANIGANS!!!!! With their so called limited edition, limited production watches!!!! ROLEX PURE CLASS OMEGA PURE CRAP not the OMEGA watches but the disgusting behavior of their employees!!!!! A lot of people complain about Rolex do people really think they are going to get a stainless steel Daytona like the Panda that trades for twice Msrp or other models that trade at $5,000 USD or more above Msrp like the PEPSI or Sky Dwellers with no purchase history whatsoever!!! I asked my authorized dealer which Rolex models are possible to get Datejust easier to get Sky Dweller more difficult to get and so on and so forth I picked a few models and got placed on a customer interest in x,y, and z models shortly after a couple months later I got a Datejust 41 two tone fluted bezel jubilee bracelet Wimbeldon dial!!!! Am I getting a Panda Daytona NO I don’t expect that for at least 10 years of purchase history buying at least one luxury watch per year and some jewelry, not my authorized dealer words, my gut feeling my own intuition my Rolex authorized dealers are not pushing me or requiring me to buy anything that is just my gut feeling why would they sell me a watch for $15,000 msrp and as soon as I walk out the front door the watch is worth $30,000 USD!!!!!
Another thing about Omega they don’t allow their authorized dealers to give customers discount but they also don’t allow them to sell the Snoopy Silver Award watches that watch is for boutiques only!!!! Why would anyone buy an Omega watch at full Msrp when they are trading way below!!!! I really want to be an Omega collector also but they are making it extremely difficult!!!!!😅😅😅😅😅
This is actual security cam footage
Most of the time there is no sound with security cameras. So my guess is that this is staged
True. I was the guy with the glasses.
@@karsdeelen2448 There is at Rolex dealers otherwise they couldn't share videos like this

The look of disgust on the salesman's face when someone *dares* walk into a Rolex boutique to enquire about purchasing a watch... 😂
So accurate
You know I walked into a Rolex boutique last month and had a really good conversation with a down to earth salesman. Even though I was too poor to even set foot in that store we had a real nice working class rapport going about the sales game and the watch business.
That'a what they're trained to do.
change "someone" into "a peasant" and your comment will be 6.1x funnier
I wonder how the associates are trained to be snobs, just imagine the staff on boarding and how they are told to behave like insects. Truly despicable but hey, has helped the 'desirability' so to speak, for cheap social climbers really. That's who Rolex know has shifted their market towards where real watch collectors know better - omega and more !
That summarised my experience at Westfield Rolex AD last year.
Sydney City?????
@@---Blue No, London W12
That summarized all but 1 Rolex AD experience for me in the last 4 years. The 1 exception was an AD in Southeast Asia with a welcoming sales associate who allowed me to try on a Sub with no attitude. I was still was unable to buy and unable to join the waitlist, but at least I left the store without feeling disrespected.
I hope they enjoy the profits from their supply/distribution games, because they are doing long term damage to their brand with each interaction like this, which is common enough now that every watch forum is packed with these stories and Watchfinder is making videos about it.
@@ugabrewI’ve bought all grey market so far, but I brought a sub in to an AD to have it resized, they were extremely kind and let me try on a bunch of exhibition models and we talked about other brands I was interested in like Omega and Cartier (they offered more than Rolex). Such a shame not all ADs act like that. They were even very transparent with how the process works because they only have so many watches and existing clients. It’s not the best thing to hear, but I think how someone says it is the important part.
@@MT-kx2uc Not all Rolax AD are bad, the AD in Oxford Street were nice, I bought my Daytona & GMT Pipsi from them after just over a year waiting time.
However, most others I visited seem to just don't care if you have money or laugh at you.
Also it would be a lot easier to buy a Rolex from Dubai then London lol.
Gotta add the part where the Omega AD gives you a discount as well
Less and less the case these days actually…
AD only offered me tax less price
@@KeepingWatchUKStill more common than Rolex...
Can’t get a lot of the newer omega models. It’s getting as bad
There's always a double rainbow when entering an Omega AD as well. Birds sing. And there is a glow around their heads. At least according to all these Omega-salesmen who frequent these sites...
Rolex AD: "After six months we barred him from entering the store...we got to feeling he was starting to like it."
So is it the Rolex AD or Rolex buyer that’s more at fault here?
Shall never forget my experience when I’ve entered a Rolex boutique. The staff looked at me like I was a microbe. Meanwhile people from Omega boutique only had to put a red carpet on a floor when I’ve entered it, I swear. “Try whatever watch you love, sir”, “would you like to drink anything?” “What do you do for living?” As a bachelor student who tried to not get robbed, I obviously didn’t plan to buy any Omega watch that day. And they knew it. But one day, it could be lovely to wear Aqua Terra on a wrist.
The sad part is when the poor sod goes back a week later for more
Geneva Syndrome?
Nice one Andrew👍Basically that’s how in reality we peasants are treated at Rolex AD. Now if your a big known celebrity. Would you like it gift wrapped sir?😡
You forgot interest free finance, it's almost a struggle to leave an Omega showroom without a new watch 😂
if you have to finance a watch, then you shouldn’t own it at all
Who in the brokie would finance a watch bruv 😂😂😂 💀
@@super1234567891011Some of us gotta keep up appearances...
"Cash is King!"
The mindless cry of the poor.
Person A saves up £5k and buys a watch with it.
Person B has £5k but isn't an idiot, so he sticks the money in a savings account and buys the watch on finance.
The watch costs each person £5k, but after 4 years person B has more money than person A because they were smarter with their money.
However.... If you can't afford to buy the watch outright OR put the equivalent amount in a savings account then I agree that you shouldn't be buying a watch 👍
@@khaaaaaaaaaannn when you have so much money that it’s just a number on a screen, maybe you’ll understand.
Rolex: We don’t even have waitlist, it’s called wishlist now.
Omega: Would you like 15% off plus no tax?
That’s why i love omega
All it was missing was a “Vee ask Ze Questions” after a slap.
Lol.... Beautifully Summarised the Rolex Experience😂
as if rolex had an onlyfan
This is so true. At the Bal Harbour Boutique Miami I got the door opened ( 2 inches crack) where the sales rep peaked his mouth through it while chewing chicken Brest (I smelled it yes) and told me “I’m on my lunch and second no watches for sale” and closed the door on my face. Mind you I own several Rolex and other top watches but one thing for sure is that I won own another Rolex ever again. Even if it’s offered to me for free.
Sounds like typical SoFlo c*ntish salesman behavior. Meanwhile, I stopped into the Mayors at Aventura just to browse the Omegas and pre-owned, and they were amazingly gracious. They acted like they wanted my money and patronage, and for me to be a repeat customer. What a novel concept.
so true. I was treated more or less that way in the Vancouver Rolex boutiques...sad.. Rolex doesn't deserve my money or attention.. GS for now. 3 GS and 1 Omega in the past 11 months.
Haha, I got a similar treatment in an Australian Rolex AD. There were 4 members of staff in there and I asked what they did all day if there's no watches for sale.
what was their reply?
@@davidpugh8772 Just ignored the question.
😂😂😂😂
Happy to be rolex employee
They have about 10 staff in the tiny store here in Singapore and they just clean the windows and do dusting all day 😂
Tudor seems to be getting like that too. Went to Torneau recently at Sawgrass looking for the Ranger and they said I had to make an appointment at Bal Harbour to see them. I said no thank you, went next door and got a Longines Legend Diver.
Compare to ranger, the legend diver looks a thousand times better. I think you made a right dicision
A better watch. Good for you.
Well done! Tudor is sooooo overrated... 20-30 years ago it was an embarrassement wearing them
Longines is a more respectable brand than Tudor, with way more heritage and pedigree. Founded in 1832 compared to the 1926 of the Tudor. Ppl just hype about it more because it's the sister company of Rolex. U did th3 right thing, and I hope u feel not one ounce of regret.
Well I still want the Ranger but truthfully only because of the Rolex connection as shameful as it sounds. I enjoy the LLD but the lume is crap. Haven’t yet seen the Ranger in the metal so maybe I will be underwhelmed.
That's incredibly similar to my experience at a Rolex AD...😂
That is so accurate... I was told off at the door of the Rolex AD in Dubai, because the store was full, I thought that wearing a sub on my wrist would make things easier, but they treated me shittly regardless
The omega store in the Dubai mall is fantastic, had no intentions of buying a watch, simply browsing their catalogue, the salesperson offered me to try on any watch I saw, I tried on the speedy and a seamaster 300m, overall fantastic store
@@vinaysnair4797 Exactly, this i where i bought my speedmaster. I also got 12% discount and a gift card for 400 dollars to another watch shop owned by Swatch Group. Plus i got 4% back in tax from the airport in Dubai. Ended up paying around 7000 USD for the Sapphire sandwich. In my country it would have cost me around 9000 USD. I was pretty satisfied with my purchase and the exceptional service from Omega Dubai Mall.
The Rolex is almost exactly as it shown, just except of slapping they are passively politely aggressive in demeaning way - like you are child in car dealership... where they like "sure look at it... whroom wroom... one day you may be able to buy it when you grow-up". They make you feel worthless for being interested in their damn watches.
And Omega is exactly like that as well, you come in, choose the watch and buy it... simple as that. If they don't have brand new one in stock in the store, then they get it shipped to you directly from another store or indeed Switzerland next day for free.
I guess it works out for Rolex but I really don't care for a company that's that rude to its customers.
There are plenty of brands that offer way the same or even higher quality for a similar price with deep history in timekeeping which is way more interesting than a watch company that was founded on marketing alone.
I do find it quite funny given that Watchfinder probably make a significant chunk of their income because of this exact situation.
Come on. Smile, it´s really cool done
If you choose to buy a Rolex you deserve everything you get.
Exactly…….. A Rolex 😇
You captured the experience of trying to buy a Rolex perfectly😅😅😅
Rolex with the Force: "You are not the chosen one!!!"
"I find your lack of importance disturbing."
No guessing *which* side of the Force they're on.

Obi Wan: This is not the watch you're looking.
2 year wait list for a mass produced watch
That was both hilarious and realistic!
This was hilarious and basically spot on. Most ADs are a bit more sympathetic but the slap in the face is just the same
Tudor has the nerve to start doing this too. The NERVE. As an omega fanboy, Tudor and Nolex do nothing for me. The Blancpain fifty fathoms is far more of a grail watch than submariner will ever be. THE NERVE. lol.
That isn't my experience with Tudor.
Tudor is cheaply made garbage. For example it’s aluminum bezels… really aluminum 🤣💩🤡
At this point, I am not even considering buying a Rolex anymore. It is just unrespectful as fuck.
Hands down one of the funniest things I've seen this year so far!
This is what happened to me with Rolex but without the slapping 😂 . I went to Omega and bought Sea master with discount , Very beautiful watch 😍
Apart from actually being slapped, this is 100% true.
Metaphorically you get slapped.
Apparently, your face wasn’t even good enough to be touched by the A.D.’s hand !!
That’s how lowly you* are ha ha ha !!
* and me, and most other regular folk
If I ever get treated that way by Rolex, I'm literally gonna say "alright geezas I'll buy a casio instead"
😂😂😂 and I'm sure the Rolex AD have a telepathic awareness of my financial situation and will call me when I'm broke!
dude it happens all the time then you're like dang i was planning on paying cash 2 years ago but now i guess i need to finance it...
I always had great experiences at my AD but then things changed. One day I got treated particularly bad, I walked out deflated and uninterested.
I was lingering in the window of Omega and got invited in. I tried on a £173k De Ville Tourbillion despite telling them I could never afford it (they said they didn't care). Tried on seamasters and a solid gold Moonwatch.
I was saving up for the latter and consolidating the collection when I got the call for a Daytona 😂😂😂
Back to being a 🐑🐑🐑 I guess!
Will never forget Omega though and it's where I'm going for my next one.
oh dude! 😂
Same experience had no intention of buying an omega, simply browsing told them I can’t afford the watches and they said they didn’t care, allowed me to try on any watch at the store, I tried on the speedy and the 300m. Even had a 30min chat with the salesperson about watches. Definitely gonna buy an omega when I have the money
Not the force choke!!😂😂
Hahaha brilliant 😅 this is exactly (without the violence) what happened to me in Spain and Central London. I left the waiting list after a year waiting ☺️
Are you suggesting that Rolex AD staff would touch you with their bare hands? I scoff at such a ridiculous notion. They would for sure put on some gloves so as to not dirty their hands by touching such low forms or life.
Oh and by the by, I have nominated you both for BAFTA awards , especially Tom. What a champ taking those hits. Did you flip a coin for the parts?
Regards,
Chris
This is why I love the fact that super clones exist and you can get a Daytona for 600 bucks, fuck em
Rolex trying so hard to no longer be the middle class brand it will forever be
💯👍
Yeap, Rolex has become what Ferrari is, they should be proud I guess. I remember just a few years ago you just to walk in, try it on and buy it right there and then. In fact many of us were buying used Rolex VS new because you could get a Submariner or GMT that was no more than a couple years old for up to 20% less than retail, but the AD cases were full of Subs, Explorers, GMTs etc. Now you walk in and they look at you like you are not even worthy of buying the watch even if you have the cash in hand. I saw a video of Jay Leno talking about why he doesn't buy Ferrari, end the great experiences he has had at Porsche/McLaren, and it immediately relate to what's going on on Rolex ADs right now VS and Omega AD.
Still better than my experience with the a local rolex AD, they just ignored me for like 10 minutes until i got bored and left.
Walked into the Beaverbrooks store down the road and I didn't even make it all the way in the door before their sales staff pounced on me.
Well don't put all of the blame on the retailers. ADs have to sell at MSRP, and I don't think Rolex provides large enough margins to make just selling someone a watch very profitable for them... Especially when the buyer can probably immediately flip it for a healthy profit!
And how else are these stores supposed to sell a bunch of overpriced jewelry that nobody REALLY even wants?
I'm assuming that this is security camera footage from a real Rolex AD?
For satire this was awfully close to multiple experiences i had trying to buy a rolex. Just missing the "eff off you filthy peasant" as their 'saying goodbye' routine.
Rolex is the only company I've ever come across that tried to make me feel grateful for taking my money.
Ferrari has the same strategy. So does Hermes with the Birkin bags. You'll pretty much only see this with luxury goods where they treat customers like shit to play up the exclusivity of the product. The absurd thing is that unlike Ferraris and Birkins, Rolex makes millions of these watches every year.
Went into an AD I have a buyers history with on the weekend to put in an order for a Daytona….I can very much relate to this video. Terrible customer experience.
I went to Rolex in Manchester to make an enquiry . Dealer shot me in the face.
The world is full of great watches you can actually buy. It’s a hard pass on Rolex for me.
The important point is that THIS is the reason why Rolex’s are so desirable because its a feedback loop - low availability generates FOMO, which increases demand, which increases price, which generates more demand because “investment” and FOMO, which decreases availability which increases demand and price, and so on and so on. Meanwhile, everyone forgot these are actually very basic watches with great external finishing. I remember back in the mid 2000’s when my Brosnan Seamaster had a lovely machined push button deployment clasp and my cousin’s new more expensive Rolex Sub still had a sheet metal stamped tension clasp. Hilarious. At least Rolex has caught up there but still behind in movement technologies.
I haven’t missed out on anything - I don’t have kids.
I am the luckiest man alive 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So Rolex is like a Ferrari.
Long story short, rolex makes a milion a year. Grey markets have gazilion daytona in stock and even
More submariners and their variations. It is a fake, all a scam. Grey markets working like 🤞with rolex
Watches make for shit investments. It's a toy, nothing more.
I have a Rolex and in my opinion they are not even that very well finished compared to Grand Seiko or even Omega. Despite that I like my explorer for its good proportions, thickness, and bracelet, and I can sell it for much more than what I bought it for.
I am subscribing to this channel!
Brillllliant!
Amazing isn't it! I don't think ANYONE has come up with this joke before...
I will not buy Rolex on principle due to this exact scenario actually being real. I mean, they don’t physically slap you, they kick you in the emotional balls.
Nailed it 😂
I start to believe this might be what Rolex AD salesperson was trained to do…
I guess rolex fanboys loves to get smacked 😏
I disagree. I went 5x to the OMEGA and I was treated like your ROLEX sketch (without the slapping…). And treated quite friendly at ROLEX. That’s why I do not own any OMEGA watches apart from Moonswatch…
lmao the force choke by rolex is real 😂
"But is all about the value!!" Bs, people are way to fixated on the value of watches because they are scraping their bank accounts dry with these 10k-30k+ Rolex. They can buy it sure but not able to afford it comfortably, "if the watch doesn't hold value then its garbage" that's pretty much the watch industry in a nutshell. You buy a 5k Omega and you know it's now worth 1k less the moment you put in your wrist, and since people cant afford to lose $1k then it's a pass even thou that $5k Omega is most likely a better watch than that $15k Inflated Rolex Submariner. It's value over what you actually like or what is currently hyped up by the media.
I have, on 3 separate occasions, in 3 different countries, in the past year, walked into a Rolex dealer (Seattle, Dublin, Edinburgh) who had GMT Master II on display. Asked to try it on. Then put my Amex Platinum card on the display case and told the salesperson that I would take it. 3 times I was told no under any circumstance. Instead i have bought GS's, Tudors, micro brands, bespoke watches. I already have 2 GMT Master IIs, but the point is that won't likely ever willingly give Rolex any more business.
Even if I had the money and had to get rid of it, Brewster's Millions style, I'd not buy anything from a Rolex Authorised Dealer. In fact, come to think of it, I'd not buy a Rolex from anyone.
@ShabbaRanksMF I'm on that level of thinking myself. A Daytona? Nah, I'll have a El Primero instead. Submariner? Sooooo many great options other than a Rolex. Same for a GMT. In fact my Grand Seiko GMT is levels better in terms of quality and finish. Does Rolex innovate? Not much these days unless you consider a Destro to be big addition. As a collector I've enjoyed watching smaller companies grow and claw their way into being bigger and making interesting new watches. Anywho, we are definitely thinking the same way when it comes to how Rolex's business model has changed.
I am not hating on rolex , in fact love my Datejust & my GMT but this is going to be disastrous for Rolex on the long run. They are manipulating demand by restricting access for customers to purchase and thereby creating sense of shortage but the reality is Rolex produces more than a Million watches ever year..This seems to work in advantage for Rolex in short term but it will decrease the reputation nd brand loyalty of customers. Same behaviour can be seen with Ferrari and many people due to their bad attitude prefer Lambo nd Porsche nowdays. I am not saying people will completely boycott Rolex but the impact will be massive especially when other brands such as AP , Patek nd Omega are producing wonderful watches
Exactly why I will NEVER own a Rolex.
I got my brand new and first everyday wear Rolex right out of the display, paid in cash, and walked out wearing it. Well, it was 1996. I guess, it’s now a snobby thing, thus the long waiting list.
I went to ask for a Snoopy a few years ago and got slapped just as well.
They absolutely sold snoopy to their clients . If you already brought one or two omegas with your AD , you will get one . My friend has only snoopy as well as new one. He got 10% yearly discount as well
