- I made this light up heavy duty metal bench for Black Stallion to take to FabTech this year. This was a really fun build and I think the end result was better than expected. Being able to turn the welding jackets into the bench seat was the finishing touch that really made this bench unique.

About Jimbo's Garage:
Jimbo's Garage is a channel to watch real metal, steel, welding and wood projects.
Things don't last life times without the effort. That makes you trust worthy.
Very nice work Jim! That is a cool bench!!
I have never watched so many welding videos in my life until I came across your channel!
Jimbo been making videos since about 2015. I started watching in 2016 and seen every video he's made lol. Jimbos is freaking awesome guy.
Same…found him in 2020 and watch constantly
Great project! I just wish Black Stallion made their stuff in the US! TIG FINGER FOR LIFE! LONG LIVE WELDMONGER! 👨🏭
Every project has it’s problem(s) it’s just a matter of where you put the problems and if anyone can see them beyond you
So the problem is, as I see it Jimbo. I’m going to need a table to build a table! Great video! 👍😉
You know I have seen several welding videos and no one mentions the slant of the back rest so thank you for including that.
Fun fact Jimbo's Garage is also a bar in Odessa, TX. So there you go
Great build. If anyone throws shade on your welds, ask them how many followers they have on RUclips or if Black Stallion asked them for anything. Never let perfect get in the way of good enough!
It looks great Jimbo I'd be proud !
Heck of a build and I love that led backrest.
Yeah, ocd is a real thing, but you sure appreciate your craft when the project's done.
Badass! Good color scheme.
I built a wooden ladder shelf, and it took so long. It had to be dead perfect. I took hours, setting up the table saw to make sure it cuts perfectly. The legs had to be exactly the same length, etc etc etc. I built a shed, same thing! 🤣 I really put the love in my work. I want solid products, I want to be sure, you cannot say anything bad about it. I want to make sure you couldn't come up with a single flaw, as if the customer cares as much as I do. That's why I love steel more than wood, you can always rework it. With wood, you cut it wrong, it's all over lol
Nice work
That turned out great! Nice work!
A Fine job!
Thats a badass build there ol timer. Great job as always Jimbo 👍
Bless AWESOME 👏 many thanks 😊
Are you going to FabTech? going for the first time and will love to meet you!
Turned out real nice.
Fireball makes a square for that, works great for putting legs onto a frame.
Penetrol is great for raw steel like this; some sort of Danish oil that hardens; a lot of hot rod builders will use it to seal exposed metal. Also acts as a primer for raw steel for something like poly.
Where most clearcoats will rust underneath (apart from dangerous things that self etch), this stuff stops rust pretty hard.
Fantastic job Jimbo.. of all the projects you've done over the years, the one that comes to mind more often is your can crusher... maybe you can build one that crushes a 6pk or maybe a case at one time...lol.. Jimbo take care my friend and God Bless you and your family...
Interesting how some people's OCD works. I have the same problem. 1mm out of square on that size will never be noticed, but I will wrestle with it for an hour to get it perfect.
Even that button welds for the backrest will be precisely measured out from the middle outwards.
Absolutely beautiful work
Awesome shop💯💯!! I wanna be like him when I grow up🙏🏽
Excellent job on this I really liked the bench
Well Mr. Jimbo during this very excellent video it seemed to me you were doing a lot of apologizing for your workmanship!!! (That saddens me greatly.) There's always people it seems on the internet world that actually never have done anything, never have accomplished anything and Know even Less... They can point a finger of Shame at those that do!!! Keep up the great videos you're doing a wonderful job!
And I know that thousands of others appreciate your efforts!
PS Black Stallion makes great products! And no I don't work for them.
👍👍
The yellow plastic insert was a great tip, what did you use? Thanks from Colorado.
Coolest expo bench that I've seen! Absolutely love that light up back.
Don't envy the salesman tasked with lugging it around though! 😂
Why do you use htp welders ? Why don't you try miller Lincoln or esab ?
Are you happy with the weld table? How thick is the table top? Any problems with it being deformed by the clamps?
A little brown nosing going on LOL 😁
Why is there only one arm rest?
What are the actual dimensions of the bench ?
Hey Jimbo
I like you fab table , who is the manufacture ?

Please tell me wich brand metal cutting blade you are using. and how many teeth are there in it?. please let me know some of the best metal cutting blade brands. Thank you.
Jimbo, don't you use some breathing protection? the work of welding and polishing releases fumes and particles that are harmful to health, take care!
warum das namens schild von vorne geheftet
It came out looking great!
You mentioned the arm rest moving at 18:17. It moved back again at 18:27 so you can relax 😉;)
Coming from ship repair, 1/8" is not heavy duty. We call 1/8" 'sheet metal'. The benches in our shop usually are all 1/2" thick minimum on the materials. When a table weighs a ton or two, it stays where you put it.
Other than that, nice table.
❤ Awesome build!
Wow! If someone complains about what you built they would be crazy. Awesome job.
i want to see jimbo rage compilation
Lol! I bet it’s pretty comical.
HeyJimbo, would love for you to make a video on general rules and tips on how to build ridgid and strong gates/fences, and integrating into art/design
Looks the nuts absolutely fantastic love it great work as always 👍
good job, best regards from Venezuela
Did you not say.& plum legs. ⁉️You just play , cause you are self employed , not work by the. Hour ,,, real world ,,, matters ,,,,maters ,,, to anel. ,, like you say in hind sight as you said ,,, only people that do this ,,,see this. 👍. Most every one else ,,,,( NO ). ONLY IF YOU POINT OUT INPERFECTIONS 😃 ALL IN ALL NICE,,,🎉
I’ll be at fabtech and I cannot wait to see/sit on this!
Outstanding job 👍
Great design!!
You need Fireball Tools!
no he doesn't - Jimbo works just fine with what he has!
@@mattsan70 All that time (hours like he says) he spend trying to get it where he wanted could be turned into minutes.
Hi my name's Arnold and i 'm cameroonian and i want to know which software you use to make your projects
I feel your pain over that 1/8 " of an inch.. We make mare and foal stocks here in Ireland.. and I recently spend over 5 hours altering our cutting table and welding jig for less than 6mm oversize on one piece... Nobody would notice it, but I knew it was there, so it had to go.
