- The SABC's story about the dangers of hubbly bubbly, also known as the hookah pipe, has gained huge traction on Social Media. This comes after health experts sounded the alarm about hubbly bubbly being a silent killer. Smokers of hubbly bubbly are at risk of developing illnesses such as cancer, heart and respiratory diseases, as well as adverse effects during pregnancy. Hubbly bubbly smoking is becoming more and more popular among young people, particularly at social events. According to the World Health Organisation, one smoking session can equate to smoking 100 or more cigarettes. To discuss the effects of smoking hubbly bubbly, we're joined in the studio by SABC News reporter Sellwane Khakhau. Virtually, we're joined by the Head of School and Director of the Africa Centre for Tobacco Industry Monitoring and Policy Research, School of Health Systems and Public Health, at the University of Pretoria, Professor Olalekan Ayo-Yusuf.

Why was it allowed to be sold in the first place. As much as we can try to warn the young and youth about the danger of smoking this, it will be difficult to convince this generation about the after effects. I believe the same rules implemented about Marijuana/Dagga should also be enforced on this and if found in position of this drugs, same judgement should apply. In fact the government should ban the sales of this drug unless of course they are also beneficiaries
