    I am so glad I found your videos . I am 68 . I wasted my youth on an abusive husband . My face show years of neglect , worry and sun damage . I don't want to socialize . I feel some hope now . Will be ordering skin care products today . I don't expect to look 30 , just a little better . Wish I had started your routine years ago. you are gorgeous. Thank you .

      Susan Thurston I know how you feel. I left a physically, verbally and emmotionaly abusive partner after 7 years of abuse.My face was drawn due to a 15 lb weight loss ( I am 5'2 and was down to 90 lbs). Anyway, I decided not to let an abusive man ruin my self esteem! You can too! Once you get into the skin care , you will be addicted! Go get makeover at Sephora and you will feel great, I promise! Get a new lipstick and a Nars blush ( I use " Orgasm" on most of my clients). It is magic! ( I am a Makeup Artis and Skin Care specialist). Anne Marie is an awesome girl to follow for skin care.
      It is time for YOU! You can think about you! Smile as much as you can. My thoughts and prayers are with you! 😊

    Hi Anne-Marie! I'm 33 and I have a smile line just on my left side that is noticeably deep and it really bothers me. I've been using Retin A 0.25% for about 10 months now and while I do notice a difference around some fine lines around my eyes, I haven't found a difference in that one line. I bought a derma roller a few months ago and I've used it about 3 times now but I think I'll start using it more consistently every 2 weeks and see if that makes a difference. I just have to say that you have gorgeous skin and your teeth are amazing! I'm really hoping that I'll be thanking myself when I'm older for starting all of this preventative care so early on! Thanks for the great video, I'm inspired!

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  7 лет назад +5

      You are smart to start early! I wish I had! I didn't really start a skin care routine until I was in my 40's. It does take a good 3-6 months to have plumper skin (new collagen) with the dermaroller so keep at it and consistent and I think you will see improvement to that line. Also, be sure to roll right inside that line (gently hold the skin so the line is opened up and then roll) I find that helps my lines the most when I do that. Lots of love to you xoxo

    LOTS of necessary info! I started 6 months ago from one of you videos and am already seeing a bit of results. I use a .5, and find it very easy and painless. I currently do 2-3 times a week and I thank you do much for encouraging me to try rolling. I had thought about it for a year, now I am sorry I wasted time! Definitely a game changer for me! Thanks again!

    Hi Anne, I have been watching your videos for several months and I started using the derma roller as per your demos. I am really loving the results. I started about a month ago. I am 59 and have used Retin A (and the generic) for 32 years off and on (mostly on) and I stay out of the sun. I had loads of sun damage on my very white skin from my childhood in Southern California and I really take care of my skin as an adult. I so love your videos. You are so thorough and interesting and kind. Thank you so much.

    Hello Anne! In teeny tiny bits in increments, you are winning me over to the idea of trying dermarolling. I have been a reviewer for years, and have been offered a dermaroller for free multiple times to review but have always said no. Now that I have my brown spots somewhat under control with retin A, the things that are really bothering me are my nasolabial Folds and my marionette lines. This may need to be my next step. Thank you as always for being thorough and doing the demonstration up close so we can see it. ❤

    Hi Anne, I’m 69 years old and I have had bad lip wrinkles for years. I have tried everything including fillers which I hated. So fake looking. I came upon your video by accident, I don’t even remember what I was looking for. I never thought to try this. It is the same idea as acupuncture, fooling the body into healing itself. I had a shoulder injury and did acupuncture and the results were amazing! I bought both dermarollers yesterday and can’t wait to get started! I know I need to be patient but thank for your demonstrations! One question as I don’t want to overdo. Is once a week for face and lips the best way to go or less? Thank you again you look fabulous!

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  6 лет назад

      I'm so glad you found my channel and hope you enjoy my videos! Yes, I use the 0.5 mm on my wrinkles once every week or two weeks. The 0.25 I use on my lips 2-3 nights a week. I have a few more dermarolling and dermastamping videos you might find helpful. One is on making the lips fuller and plumper without fillers and then there is a How to dermaroll: full face demonstration video along with a dermastamping one titled how to get rid of lines and wrinkles. It takes a good 3-6 months to see the benefits of new collagen with a consistent rolling or stamping routine, but I've really seen some good improvement over the years. Lots of love xoxo

    I have used it for years. Recently realized that it works on crepey skin on the underside of arms and on the flabby uppers. I also roll my hands on top and the results are starting to show. Nerve endings on the arms and hands are not as sensitive as the face and lips, so it is easier to roll those areas. Follow up with a really good moisturizer. My newest use is for the sagging neckline. I also massage this area.

    Just wanted to mention and i hope it helps someone... women with hypothyroidism-slow thyroid can not convert T4 to T3 or vitamin A, so if you think you can use the retinaldehydes that take 1 or 2 steps to convert -please do not waste your money, you need the prescription retin A to see results. :/ Women with slow thyroid, also have problems converting amino-acids, so if you are taking them and they are lacking some amino acids, (some companies omit some amino acids, because other peoples bodies convert the ones in the formula), you need to find a supplement which has all the amino acids.

    I do botox, fillers, and retina a creme with a skin brightener to avoid old age spots. I also dermaroll. I have found you can dermaroll your back legs, thighs, buttocks, and stomach with a larger size to repair and rebuild collagen in those areas where you get that crepe-lkke skin. It does help. Just takes time and a commitment.

    Egg white and cucumber removes my deep frown lines immediately and it lasts about 3 days! It's a quick fix but it works wonders for me. I also dermaroll my entire face. Been doing it for 2 years with great results. But never as noticeable results in frown lines as this concoction. I peel cucumber, put it in blender, strain out cucumber pulp using fabric and rubber band over jar, then place liquid in small jar, then mix in one egg white, stir till mixed well and apply to skin. After it dries, you can wash off if you'd like. But I've even kept it on all day under makeup and no one noticed that I had something on my face. But everyone noticed that my super deep frown lines were gone!

    Derma rolling has been shown to actually injure skin - because those needles develop tiny "bends" (after the first use) and that doesn't "micro injure" skin in pin points, it drags. I have watched demonstrations on banana peels and there are tons of "pokes" but many "drags." Those drags do NOT cause microinjury collagen formation. They cause damage that won't be seen for several years. A true microneedling pen with needle cartridge that are only used 1 time is more expensive but guarantees none of the potential issues of rollers.

    I am having professional derma roller "needling" but barely making a difference. Last procedure they went in deeper so lets hope it makes an improvement. I'm on month 2. I listen to Dr. Anil Rajani, he advised to be cautious of what derma roller you use bc some ppl. have had the needles come off into the skin that then need surgical removal.

      I hope you love them! It does take time to build up new collagen and being consistent with rolling helps (once a week is good with the 0.5. The 0.25 can be used nightly just to help products absorb better). Lots of love xoxo

    darling thank you so much, I really needed this to hear. I was so depressed since I find out, the fillers could cause blindness (if they connect to a vene accidentally) and is never mentioned. I have already a dr. pen for micro needling gadget. with a roller i did not get so deep and have some problems it causes much more pain its less confortable for me. would you also recommend the pen or is a roller stronger? what is more effective against nasolabial lines? thank you so much

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  4 года назад

      I haven't tried a pen yet, I ordered one but it was broken when it arrived so I returned it. They both have the same end result and basically do the same thing so should give the same results. If one is easier or more comfortable for you to use then stick with it. xoxo

    FYI- You can get prescription strength Retin A from Curology. You fill out a form about your skin ,turn in pictures and a licensed dermatologist with prescribe it for you along with 2 other ingredients depending on what your trouble areas are. It's cheaper than the script and works the same. Once your skin can tolerate it ,you can up te strength of the Retin A.

    You said in this video that you use topical products to help build collagen after you dermaroll. Do you have any suggestions for the actual products themselves. Such as Brands and names of the actual product? And I was wondering if these products are expensive as I am on a limited budget pretty much a fixed income every month. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am 25 years old. I had severe depression for 3 years so I gained some weight ( I reached 81kg and my height is 175cm )by binge eating ( mainly on healthy food) and during the last few months I lost around 10kg and started skipping rope. Lately I noticed some laugh lines on my face and the skin on my cheeks looks a bit saggy in general. I REALLY hope dermarolling will help me reverse the side effects of weight loss :'( because I have very good genetics. And generally I had a healthy lifestyle ; I dont go out much under the sun ,I don't smoke or consume alcohol ( and never did ), I had a healthy diet ( except on some binge eating episodes ) all along and workout at least 2 times a week ( since 19 years old ).

      I hope you see good results with dermarolling! It takes a good 3-6 months to see improvement with a consistent rolling routine (once every week or once every 2 weeks with a 0.5 mm roller or stamp). I'm sorry to hear about your depression, I've struggled with that over the last year after my dad died and depression is not an easy thing. I wish you the very best! At 25 I'm sure your skin will bounce back quickly. You look beautiful! xoxo

    Do you think this work for old deep acne scars/pits that I acquired so many decades ago?.....I guess it might...Thanks, for letting us know about how all this has helped and really appears such a natural means of improving laugh lines, & not having to get Botox, etc, or chemicals injected in one's face....It is very evident the results are very much working... by the way your face looks, as to be winkle free & luminous...And so glad I found this video of yours today!

      I have heard that the dermaroller does help with acne scars/pit marks. You might google what size they recommend for those (I think it might be the larger 0.75mm or the 1.0mm) depending on the size of the scars and the amount of them the dermastamp might be a good option if you just wanted to treat those marks. Lots of love xoxo

      Hi Thura Lutfi. I start with Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under my eyes, then Argireline Solution 10% around my eyes, and on my smile lines, “Buffet” and Matrixyl 10% + HA on my entire face, then Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (and then I give it about 5 mins to really sink in because of the grittiness). After that I use 100% Plant-Derived Squalane, my prescription Retin-A (Stieva-A). Finally I put on Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. It sounds like a lot, but it really only takes me about 10 minutes to do the entire routine. I'm 53, with very dry post-menopausal skin, and between derma rolling and this group of products I'm seeing some real results. Hope I didn't bore you!

      @BeautyByAnneMarie  7 лет назад +4

      You might want to try a dermastamp then. I noticed even with this 0.5 the roller never draws any blood but the stamp has the pin point blood spots. Maybe a 1.0 stamp would do the trick. Lots of love to you!! xoxo

    • @ElectedOfficial1
      @ElectedOfficial1 6 лет назад +11

      Elle Is For Living I am a 35 + year cosmetologist retired and just because you don't see the blood doesn't necessarily mean it isn't there. If you're drawing blood that you see, that would, in my thoughts, bring damage more than good. In my opinion your white blood cells are reacting very fast and your skin is healing from the Derma wand very fast. That means you have a good supply of "white blood cell army soldiers" LOL this encourages me to get the 0.5 because the only hesitation I had was that it would draw too much blood which would cause infection but since you tell me that you can't see it, I may want to use it. Believe me if you're putting any type of needle into your skin you are drawing blood. You're just not seeing it. Get a magnifying glass. I will use alcohol or iodine immediately after using a Derma roller. Then I will use my 99% aloe vera gel that I purchase on Amazon and it comes in a pump bottle. Then continue to moisturize with my favorite products which in my case are non-alcohol witch-hazel, vitamin C serum, vitamin A serum, + jobobo oil and 99% aloe vera. I have learned that ascorbic acid in vitamin C or in any form causes wrinkles and is not beneficial. I quit taking my vitamin C ascorbic acid capsules. Vitamin C is made without ascorbic acid. Just need to search for it. I've also learned that the alkalinity craze is going away since our bodies are primarily acidic.

    I know that NuFACE is quite expensive so what I did was, I purchased the mini and I’m making payments to QVC. It’s the only way I could afford it. I absolutely love it. I’m not on a regimen with it yet and that frustrates me but we’re planning a funeral out of state and we need to leave soon and as you know, I just got over having pneumonia. Were going to Bend Oregon and it’s snowy and icy there. This will be a long journey. Once we’re home, I will have the time to do what I want to do. It’s a 12 hour trip one way so I’ll have plenty of time to do some scheduling in my head if you know what I mean. Take care, stay cozy and God Bless!

      Thank you for your response. I do have a question on frequency. I believe on one of the videos you said its okay to do the .25 daily and the .05 once a week or bi-weekly?

    I can't find any information about the law changing and not being able to buy versions of Retin-A online anymore, could we have some more info about that? Great video as always, I just ordered my first dermaroller! :)

      I'm not sure what the law is, but I use to buy my retin a through the Premier look website and now they say they cannot sell it. Also someone else was going to open up a online skin care store and they said they had to send all their retin a back because of the law changing. Other than that though I have no clue about it. I just need a good online store to purchase refissa ;)) I hope you love the dermaroller! It does take time to build up collagen but I really love the results and hope you do too! Lots of love xoxo

      Thank you and you should give it a try! I bet it's not as bad as you are thinking it will be ;) Try rolling it on the back of your hand first just to know how it feels before you put it on your face. Really has improved my lines especially around my mouth area so much. Lots of love xoxo

      @@brandi5730 - Wash your face really well first, then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, and run your dermaroller under hot water and then soak it for 5 minutes in rubbing alcohol (you can do that the same time as when you're prepping your face). Make sure your face and the roller are dry, then go ahead and roll. You won't get any infection if you do that. I've been rolling for about a half year now. I just cranked it up to 0.75 on my face and a full 1mm on my arm. No infection ever.

    I checked your channel out because I always like your comments on Dominique Sachse's channel. Would like to see a before/after picture on this subject. I'm a retired makeup artist so warning...I may have suggestions from time to time as I've now subscribed to your channel. You showed many great products but so many may be a bit overwhelming (TMI) for average gals who aren't so familiar with skin care is my only suggestion today.

      Beauty By Anne-Marie Hi! This is my first time discovering you and enjoyed watching 2 of your videos so far. I’ve found them to be very informative. I hope you have time one day soon to answer a few questions of mine. Here goes:
      1. What is the name and where do you buy a numbing cream for your face? (like for before derma rolling)
      2. I like Avene products too but have only seen and had to purchase them from a dermatologist’s office. I was under the impression that was the only way you could purchase that brand.But, I noticed under your video you wrote that you could get it at drugstores- Walgreens in particular. My question: Is that correct? Can you get it in a Walgreens STORE, or do you mean you MUST ORDER IT thru Walgreens ONLINE O N L Y? Is that the ONLY drugstore you know of that carries it? Is a person REQUIRED to have some sort of “written recommendation” or even a prescription from a doctor to purchase the Avene brand products? I know it may sound like a kind of weird question but the last time ( a yr ago) that I went into my dermatologist’s office to buy one Avene product, they made a stink about it saying that they weren’t supposed to sell it to “just anybody who desired it”. That you HAD to be purchasing under the direct and RECENT recommendation of the doctor. And, since I hadn’t been in there for an appointment for over 6 months, they really shouldn’t’ sell it to me, but will “ this last time”. Guess they were just being difficult?? Which is weird - to resist making a sale! - to one of your patients! Anyway, info on that and the numbing cream would be GREATLY appreciated.
      3. Lastly, the derma roller: I saw you said to order it from Amazon. Any particular brand that you recommend as real good or best? Is there a variation of quality between most brands that you know of? I kinda think so but I really don’t know bc this was the first I had ever even heard of the procedure.

    • @gingeroo5765
      @gingeroo5765 6 лет назад

      Sorry Anne but I posted my questions before I finished my last one! I wanted to ask you if it is really necessary to draw blood in order for it to be effective ? If you dont SEE the blood, does that mean you should move up to a bigger roller until you DO? Or, can you just assume whatever size you’re using (like a 0.5) is enough no matter what? Should you keep moving up to bigger and bigger rollers or stamps as time goes by? That’s all! F I N A L L Y REACHED THE END!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND GREAT VIDEOS!! I think I’ll subscribe. Take care, Julie

    Thank you for this video! I did finally receive my first derma-roller, a 0.25 mm and I have used it on my lips one night and on my face another one. I figured that if I disinfect it as you do, I can use the same one, on different nights, for different parts. Last night I had the bad idea to derma-roll my neck and my upper chest area, not quite the décolleté, but omg, besides being red...it looks like I had a fight with a cat! I bet the skin there is very sensitive and leave all the scratches that I don't see on my face. It will take a while before I will get used to those needles and upgrades to the 0.05 mm. Strangely enough, the lips are less sensitive, I actually enjoy it!

      I forgot to tell you, that for the marionette lines, I just..stretch the skin, pressing my tongue (from the inside :)) against the skin and it seems easier. Or also you can blow the checks with air and this is a good yoga face methods, as well.

      @BeautyByAnneMarie  7 лет назад

      It takes a good 3-6 months for new collagen and I roll with the 0.5 once a week when I first started and then after a few years I roll once every 2-3 weeks (I've been dermarolling for a good 9 years). I hope this helps! xoxo

      Okay.. im only 3 weeks in. and ive been rolling once and week as well. The other thing though is my skin does seem extra dry days after rolling. Is that normal?? :)

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie  6 лет назад +7

      Yes, it does help to speed up cell turnover so you can get flaking to the skin. You might try just rolling once every other week and see if that is better for you with the dryness. Also be sure to use a good moisturizer after rolling as well. xoxo

      Hi Anne 👋 firstly I love you channel 💙( fasted sub ever lol )
      I purchased the 0.5 derma roller In the amazon link in the description 2 days ago after watching this video - and I just did my first derma roll session tonight ( I have a very hot face right now hehe 🤣)
      I applied the ordinary HA moisturiser and the ordinary niacinamide & zinc after Derma rolling - (the niacinamide was quite stingy but it’s settled now ).
      May I ask please? ...
      I also bought The Ordinary 1% Retinol in squaline . I haven’t tried it yet as I have read online that retinol shouldn’t be used for a few days prior to derma rolling and shouldn’t be used for a few days afterwards too .
      How long do you wait before applying your retinol after rolling /stamping and does bad anything happen
      If you use it whilst the channels/ micro wounds are still raw and open ?
      I bought the retinol thinking it would be good to use after but I’m scared to use it now 🤪
      Your advice is SO HELPFUL and SOOO VALUABLE- THANK YOU 🙏 💙💙💙
