Thanks for sharing your experience on this flight. We are flying from Toronto to Lisbon via CDG. How is the connecting flight process at Paris if you can give me a quick overview please. Thank you….Paul
thank you very nice trip report I really liked it that you showed the galley and the snacks in the galley but one more thing do they offered ice cream ? and also I remember before they were giving u a menu card in economy class what about now?
@@jmantravels what about the menu card do they gave you ? I remember the AF economy was fantastic before but it seems they cut everything I remember before they were serving u drink and snacks before the main meal and also there was a second hot meal sad they cut it.
I fly often to the Bay Area to see family and tend to take Air France (or Delta). I'm not wealthy so it's always economy too. So this was a nice watch of a journey I take often. I've never actually been on a direct flight yet but I will in about a month. Same plane same route. I must also give you credit because while I've known the wine is complimentary I did NOT know the same was true for champagne. I will definitely be using this knowledge next time!
I'm 6'3 I was in 29A. I like to make sure the SkyTeam elite flyers, business class passengers, and even those with priority pass know they can access the lounge. But if that doesn't apply to you I always have the bookmarks in my reviews so you can skip past that section. ☺️
Wow! Thank you so much for your video review. We haven't flown with Air France since 2012, and I know how maligned they are on Skytrax. We were supposed to have gone a Paris trip from SFO in 2020 then COVID hit so we've just booked to Rome with them for next year. Crossed fingers. The aircraft is the same you flew & we'll be in cattle class as usual so it was great to see a recent review saying it was all in all a pretty good flight.
Well yeah I've been in those seats before. But the price difference is much more than extra legroom seats with Delta or KLM. It's really a different class of service. AF needs extra legroom economy seats especially for the frequent flyers and tall people
There's a way to make an economy seat more comfortable, 1) take either a window or an isle seat in the front row like the row right in front of his seat in this video, since you can see that the wall in front of the first row is further in front of you than a seat is in front of you in the second row onwards. 2) Make sure the row is 3 across, and 3) hope that no one takes the middle seat between your window or isle seat choice. This way, you have both more legroom and more room to your side without bumping elbows. The only thing is that there's no promise that the middle seat will be empty, unless you buy that seat too, but that'll double the cost of your flight, and you'd probably save more money buying a premium plus seat. A business class seat however will cost even more than 2 economy seats
Hi, thanks for making this awesome video. I have a question though. I have also booked economy seats in Air France and my flight time is over 8 hours. As I am 6 feet tall, will I be comfortable in the economy seats or should I opt for extra leg room seats? Thanks.
If premium economy is a decent price I usually book it. Air France does not have the best economy legroom, and they don't have economy with extra legroom, only premium economy.
I like how you're not jaded in your review. One, guy, kinda looks like you is prissy like a spoiled child. Hint to others, I upgraded my wife to premium economy with my miles and come cash. I'm in the back of the plane alone. 😏. She'll have a great time.
If your fortunate enough, try to fly in the A380 ‘s, they are being retired but a few still fly. I flew BA from LHR to LAX in 2019. Tons of amenities and space even in economy.
Thanks for the video, considering AF for a flight CDG to Tokyo on a 777 and helped to have another one with the same carrier and airplane. The music was a little loud in places, maybe making a little quieter would make it easier to hear what you have to say. Keep up the good work.
I really just want to voice this out to all the platforms available. . . We booked a flight from Munich to Paris with Air france. . . They had technical problems with their plane so our flight was delayed for 2hrs and they where cannot load our baggage on our plane. . . The only option they gave us was either to fly without our luggage and it will be sent to our hotel the next day or we rebook our flight the next day in hopes that our luggage will come with it. . . We waited for the entire day and our luggage didn’t arrive. . . We wen’t to the airport to claim it personally but they said they can’t release our luggages. . . We are only on vacation in Paris for 4 days, 1 day is already lost while waiting for the luggage. . . And all they can answer is “I’m sorry” and “I understand but we can’t do anything about it”. . . Our whole vacation that we planned for months was ruined and that’s the best they got. . . It really enrages me that they ruined someones vacation and the best answer they got is we can’t do anything about it? Just a side note, it was my first time to experience an airplane do a wrong parking. . .
Such a long flight but you only get hot bread and some fruit stuff for breakfast?? That will never happen to CATHAY Pacific, SINGAPORE Airlines, and EVA Air.
I don't who Upstate yogurt company had to bribe to be the yogurt on just about every flight leaving the US regardless of the airline and airport. It's one of the worst yogurt, full of sugar and little health value. Same for that Dole fruit cup. Air France meals leaving CDG is 10x better.
I am Flying Air France from Denver to Paris in June, really enjoyed your video :)
I can't sleep either during the flight, so I be wondering too around the cabin lol :)
Thanks for the honest review.
Whoa nice review bro!! I enjoy this vid so much😄
Thank you I appreciate it!
Thank you for your video.
I'll be flying Air France 777 economy this summer.🛫
This was very helpful and I know what to expect. ✌️
Nice video! This is probably one of the nicest airline reviews on RUclips.
Wow, thanks!
Hey, enjoyable review, loving your channel!
Thank you!
Very nice vid 🤙 I like it. Thanks for sharing 😉👌
Thank you!
Thanks for this. Taking AF from SFO to CDG connecting to Madrid this December. This looks great

Great video and nice touch with the French accordion music in the background. ;)
🤣 I'm glad someone appreciated it as much as I did!
beautiful view after take off
I’m thinking about flying on the 787 direct from Denver in the fall! Thanks for showing me what they have on board!
Make sure you book the trip before November. October 29th is the last day they will offer the flight (as of now)
thank you very nice trip report I really liked it that you showed the galley and the snacks in the galley but one more thing do they offered ice cream ? and also I remember before they were giving u a menu card in economy class what about now?
There was none on this flight but I did have it on my flight from Paris to Lisbon. I do have that review on my channel as well 🙂

Nice video, can u confirm if the Wi-Fi worked in this service?
Enjoyed the review. I'll be taking AF83 from SFO to CDG (connect to MXP) in May on 777-300ER. or so it's listed on paper.
Hope it went wonderfully!

How tall are you? What was your seat number? Advice: We don't need to know about a lounge that many economy fliers won't get to use.
I'm 6'3 I was in 29A.

I was in 19A

I definitely enjoyed it, if you can grab the 2 seats together in economy those are the best! I hope you enjoy it!
Hi! I used to be one of the ground crew for AF in SFO. AF's "Premium Economy" is the equivalent of "Economy Plus". :)
Well yeah I've been in those seats before. But the price difference is much more than extra legroom seats with Delta or KLM. It's really a different class of service. AF needs extra legroom economy seats especially for the frequent flyers and tall people
@@jmantravels its better now. with covid they're stripping the economy and business seats for more premium economy to lower the price
I couldn’t hear what the second section was, business? Or was business class the first section?

Thanks for watching!
What's your height? You said leg space wasn't great
How tall are you? I'm considering paying an extra 700 for premium economy, BUT...IDK. I'm 5'3".
I can save the extra for on the ground transportation.

I’m flying on the a350 from CDG to ATL!!
Nice! I've only been on Delta's A350!
JmanTravels Awesome! I’m super excited!!
Why are you able to go to the lounge with an economy ticket ?
Good question. Too bad he hasn’t responded.
He has a Delta Platinum Credit Card.
That is the exact same seat I'm flying in soon lol
you go to lisbon a lot!

There isn't much. I have delayed luggage up to $300 after 3 hrs on my travel insurance. If you had to re buy items, you can get reimbursed.
