Another very interesting flight. Camera views were something I had never seen before and it makes for a much more interesting view and flight. Hope you had a great Christmas and Bonne Anne'e 2023.
Thank you for sharing another great video. I also liked your shots of the Renaissance Hotel. I didn't know they had balconies. I have only seen it from a plane. Looks worth checking out. I got to experience an A350 last summer on SAS flying from EWR to CPH. Loved the camera views. My wife and I kept different cameras active to see both views. Our return trip was scheduled a few days after the SAS pilots strike, unfortunately the return was cancelled. Our first trip booked on an A350 was to be Delta airlines from DTW to AMS. That was at the beginning of the pandemic so unfortunately that trip was cancelled. Both of those trips I had specifically picked the A350 for the camera views. Looking forward to seeing your return trip. Happy New year.
Wow, what a great video. I always wanted to stay at that hotel in ATL, I would be spending hours on that balcony too! And I totally love those cameras on the plane. I agree, I wish every plane had them. Have a great trip. Happy new year.
Wishing You and Yours a Merry Christmas and a Joyous, Happy New Year ! What a Great sojourn to Paris !! You indeed had a vantage point--- your Renaissance Hotel suite's balcony...must be exciting to be so close to the 'action' ! We eagerly await your upcoming video-clip(s), and yes, many, many more to come in 2023 !!! All the very BEST ! It is amazing that you do all your videos with uncanny dexterity, and keeping in mind that the spectator is not an expert...a desirable attribute of a teacher, elucidating the theme at hand ! Bravo, Peter and please have a safe, enjoyable flight back home--- and yes, we await your engaging narration(s) !
Nice, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and safe travels to your destination, I live 2 miles away from JFK and I love watching the planes come in or take off, from the Rockaway Boulevard direction and I absolutely love it as a plane watcher!
Great report video Peter. As a European I have flown quite a few times with Air France but not with their A350s.It's a cool airline and I never had a problem with them.I wish you the best for 2023
7:31 this external camera view is also available on Oneworld Alliance Cathay Pacific A380 Qantas A380 A350 Qatar Airways A350 Japan airlines. If you cross the Rhine River onto Germany you will still get the same external camera view on Lufthansa. On the other side of the Eurasian continent you are looking at Skyteam Partner Korean Air B777-300er A380 B747-8 China Eastern A350-900. In the case Korean Air B777-300er you might find a video of external camera take off views of MNL and CEB🇵🇭 to ICN. In the United States external camera views tend to equate this with AA191 1979 Chicago disaster
Yes, the camera views on the A350 are awesome! And so are the views of the Atlanta airport from that hotel! I'm hoping to fly to Atlanta this year maybe--to stay in the Renaissance Hotel and visit the Delta Flight Museum.... I've wanted to do this since watching someone else's video over a year ago. Question: how did you get between the airport and the hotel--did you use the hotel shuttle or some other type of ride? I read some hotel reviews complaining about the shuttle not running very frequently, so I'd like to know how it worked out for you. Thanks!
Hi Shirley! My Air France flight departed from the International Terminal and the hotel shuttle only operates to the domestic terminal so I took a private car service to get from the hotel to the International Terminal.
Bonjour Pierre! I didn't do Paris during my "travel rebound" of 2022 mainly because I've already been there several times and my goal was to maximize the rebound by visiting one of my bucket list destinations, Gibraltar Airport. Interesting frontal map view on the approach over the English Channel ("la Manche" in French LOL) it's almost like flying over a really wide river. - Red
I’ve flown on the Singapore air A350 a few times. Newark to Singapore nonstop! Great plane. I think the reason why American carriers don't use the camera is the unions won't allow it. First time I saw one was on Vietnam airlines years ago. I thought pilot left his camera on by accident. haha
Great video Peter! I'm with you on sitting behind the wing. Love to see the flaps and spoilers at work. BTW, Do you use a mount of some sort on the window to keep the video so stable? The footage is so smooth
The last time I saw Paris (also the name of a song and movie!), I flew over on a Delta 767-300 from Newark. A little boring, but Paris is my favorite city, besides New York, where I live.
…”other airlines…” does that include DELTA? I truly find that US corporations settle for ‘’good enough’’ customer experience, not TRULY exceptional. We are loyal to our miles and that said, the extra layer of customer experience is not included. Why pay extra for an exterior camera to outfit the entire fleet, when I’m a DL member from the days of when PanAm went DL…. My take. Happy New Year. Yeah, a camera would be a great added experience (for my own av-geekiness), I absolutely agree 😊
Ah Peter, finally slumming it up with the rest of us in Economy Class!!
Another very interesting flight. Camera views were something I had never seen before and it makes for a much more interesting view and flight. Hope you had a great Christmas and Bonne Anne'e 2023.
Many thanks! More to come!
Cheers and thank you for taking me along to Paris. Bon voyage.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Peter, great video. Paris is a place I would love visiting. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
This is my dream to go to Paris.
The dirtiest city I visited.
It was mine too. And it turned out to be everything I’d hoped, and more! Every street is a new adventure.
Thanks Peter for posting. Happy holidays.
Happy holidays!

But 1979 was so long ago! Why would this still be a factor?

I would love to fly to Gibraltar!

No, I hold the camera in my hand (because I often like to pan and zoom)
Happy Holidays!! Wonderful video!! Was this filmed pre pandemic as no masks??
Happy Holidays! This was filmed in late 2022.
What was the tail number of your a350? I’m curious if it’s the same I’ll be taking!
Bonjour. Great video! Passé une bonne journee!
Thanks Mary! Happy New Year!
Breakfast croissants in Paris is extreme, Peter, even for you.

Can you book a trip form somewhere you choose to San Jose CA on any airline
Hopefully!
@@PeterMasella Thanks
I flown on Emirates in 2016 A380 and they also have cameras. I don't know why most foreign carriers equiped with camera but not US carriers.
I wish all airlines had it!

Filming? There is film in your camera?
