Yes it will effect your bottom end power because of a lower crankcase pressure that caused by removing the cover, But your engine will run cooler at high rpm though.

All your videos are really good, but to run that crank with no stuffers is not good at all, the bike will loose all low end response, Honda builds that crank so it's light, and the tin can takes up the excess volume.

@@evaork3746 No it cant be full round. It is offset to counter balance the weight of the rod and piston. The metal on the outside is to take up volume inside the crankcase increasing your primary compression. While this may run. You are giving up top end generally from a lower primary compression. Many builders will fill the crankcase with epoxy to increase primary compression which generally increases your top end. There is so much science to this that it cant be explained in youtube comments.

Pro-X rod. They supply silver plated flat cage bearings as well - 22.243117F. The covers would have been to reduce windage. The secondary effect would have been a reduction in crankcase volume. Removing it will probably improve thrust washer lubrication which it looked like they need. The increased windage will reduce performance and the increased crankcase volume will probably improve on-the-pipe performance. Maybe.

Only OLD Villiers and the like used crankcase compression to transfer mixture. Modern engines at anything over cranking revs, and particularly on-the-pipe, use resonance. Increased crankcase volume will likely increase power, especially if other mods are done to take advantage of the extra volume.
