i know its been said alot. but i heard i love my parents 4 years ago. but 13 years ago i saw this video. i will forever have respect for buckethead and i love my parents and his parents. so powerful and so moving.
One of the best videos I've ever seen. This made me laugh so hard at the beginning and then I was just, completely mesmerized by the insane talent and versatility that bucket has. Insane
@80handicappeople because you can pinch harmonic anywhere on a guitar but if you keep doing pinch harmonics on different parts of the string then it will always sound different and he uses the whammy because that's how you make a guitar squeal and if you wanted to know its very hard to do what he just did with the whammy with that much accuracy
Just shows you how far a professional musician is ahead of his one-hit wonder contemporaries he is. Not to say that some of the musicians of the genres he mocks here arent accomplished in their fields but he shows he can do anything Roy Clark or Eddie Van Halen can do, and with a swag that announces that he is their master.
This what it would be if ai robot played gutiar his technique is flawless and amazing i don't think there anyone out there that can out play bucket head this man is freak of nature there are lots of people that can play fast kinda one dimensional players but bucket is just on another level the only person that contend with bucket is Guthrie govan maybe , bucket is way more unconventional than any of his peers theres no style or technique he can't do , he doesn't get the respect he deserves, i think most people play him off don't cuz of the weird costume and seem very shy noce humble guy doesn't have the rockstar mentality but once you start listening and watching him play you realize this dude is something special , the bucket head stuff is his thing he's known for but he doesn't need that his ability and creativity is enough to get him noticed and respected and draw people to his shows
"Tubular Bells", aka theme from the Exorcist. Mike Oldfield MADE Virgin records, he was their first big selling act. Great story in "Losing My Virginity" by Richard Branson..........
The part at 4:03 that starts that's something called chicken pickin there's only a few guitarist that know how to do that Roy Clark was King of the chicken pickers.
I get this. It's introducing a character to friends and family. "Why isn't Brian talking?: Buckethead doesn't talk, he just plays crazy good guitar. My persona, same thing, but to a much smaller demographic. I'm no buckethead, but not many folks know the real cat that plays guitar in my band.
I remember watching this a long time ago. Wasn't "When you wish upon a star" a part of the playlist? Also I remember the begining being longer, where someone tries to talk to buckethead, and some one mentions "He doesnt talk."

Brian Patrick Carroll is the baddest most progressive complete guitarist to ever walk this earth.
"I Love My Parents" always gives me the chills. He's so diverse and talented.

"I love my parents" is just so sweet:)
Watched this in elementary school and now I’m a college graduate… long live buckethead and this clip in particular
5:08 - to the end. Probably the most hauntingly beautiful guitar I've ever heard.

Jon Moore its cause its for his parents

2:56 - 3:47 modified version of Eruption plus triplets by Van Halen... insane version of an already insane riff.
Love that opening riffing, great to imagine Buckethead locked away in a room just experimenting with all sorts of sounds and tones like that.
His neighbors must love him.
“Honey, the weirdo neighbor is making noises again”
@@welldoitlive. I would love buckethead as a neighbor.
Prime real estate
Crazy all the sounds you can make with an electric guitar
In this one i'm pretty sure he's playing for his friends or family, it's really sweet when he plays ''I love my parents'' for them. :]

Hog bitch stomp is a song that is filled with ideas. It sounds so familiar as if it were to be part of king of the hill lol. Really impressive!
Look up foggy mountain breakdown...
Love that he took an old Flatt&Scruggs bluegrass song and made it his own and did it perfectly!
