Abyss was one of the few characters a wrestler has ever portrayed that I instantly became curious of. His sells, his demeanor, his voice honestly everything about the monster abyss just fit in pro wrestling and he was portrayed to a T, the way he sells once he is unmasked you can see the horror, disappointment, and confusion in his face and eyes, abyss deserves so much more than he got from being a wrestler
He's a wannabe mankind who thinks he's the undertaker. Parks is a joke

To the people who don't get the story: It's not that TNA doesn't think you know Joseph Park and Abyss are the same person, it's that HE didn't know they were the same person. I liked the story, I'm wondering whether he'll go back to being Jospeh Park or stay as Abyss. The match left you guessing as to what he'll do.
***** It's not that we don't have common sense, it's that we have something you both are apparently lacking in... A SENSE OF HUMOR. We're well aware of the story... and we were paying attention when Eric Young informed Joseph Park who he was as well.
Oh, I have a sense of humor, I just didn't find humor in the constant "y tna thnk im dumm? dey insult my intelidgens. i no joe park iz Abyz!". Made me think people really didn't get it. For smart fans, some of them aren't very smart.

Well from my experience, whenever I go on a video of Joseph park, all the comments are about how TNA thinks the fans are dumb, when in reality the storyline isn't meant to insult the fans. I'm a TNA fan myself, I've been watching every week since January of 2010. I enjoy the show, and I just didn't understand what problems people were having with the Joseph Park story. And I'm not saying TNA fans are dumb, but a vast majority of wrestling fans in general aren't all that bright, or just plain negative towards the product. Gnome sayin'?
TheRealMikeShea For one i have to agree. Most Wrestling fans these days especially on the internet just are so indecisive of just about everything and will find ANYTHING to complain about. Hell sometimes even I can be indecisive of some things. But at least i can admit it. Sometimes they'll cheer for one thing and then completely booo it the next week. Like for example watch when 2 weeks later people start to boo M.V.P and start to wish for him to leave TNA. It's bound to happen.

To all the people complaining about how TNA has treated the Abyss character bad. If Abyss would start to appear every single week on Impact again he would destroy everybody and make almost every wrestler on the roster look weak. But if he would lose many matches Abyss would be starting to look weak and I also guess that for Christopher Park(the guy who plays Abyss and Joseph Park) it must feel really great to not have to go through tables and get hitted by other hardcore stuff.

Abyss sold the heck outta that power bomb. I guess the tacks help with that. The sharp impact and the echo that the ring made when it landed and the way abyss bounced was amazing.
Will say it again: 2 severely underrated performers. As for the storyline, one well played out story that stood the test of time, and was well integrated into the 'sidelines', allowing it to progress well, and keep everyone entertained. Only one thing: i hope they do not change Abyss' persona into the Parks character permanently. Yes, if they go a different, more corrupted amalgam route, I am all for it.
WOW! I didn't see this coming. I thought Abyss was this Indy Worker named "Prince Justice" for years. Turns out he's Joseph Park. What a TWIST. Great work TNA. KEEP IT UP! Hope Abyss keeps the Mask though. TJ Perkins did! :)

How’s watching in 2019
That was pretty violent. They hammed it up a bit but that many thumb tacks to the back and arms hurts like hell no matter how you try to reduce the actual effect. And being thrown though a table onto a kind of padded concrete floor also hurts like hell(but not as bad as Eric Young made it out to be of course).
Oh the thumbtacks hurt no matter what. Even if its just one thumbtack, that absolutely can't be pleasant. The table to the floor wouldn't be THAT big of a deal though. The table is there to break his fall and give him a much softer landing, most of which he absorbs with his foot/leg anyways. If I had to choose, I'd much rather take the fall through the table than any number of thumbtacks. I'm not saying either would feel awesome, but Abyss definitely got the more brutal end of the stick

The only good story line they had with Abyss was when Dr Stevie was his therapist that was GOOD what happened to James Mitchell I really didn't like him at the time but he kind of grew on me
