AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on RUclips are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!
Grew up in KS. It’s heartwarming to see a visitor actually appreciate the beauty that there. You nailed many great qualities. Thx for a lovely piece.
That eagle shot was incredible. I love Kansas, it’s definitely underrated.
I am loving the shift in your content! It really sucks that the government has made federal properties almost impossible to feature. Well, it’s its loss! Keep doing what you go. We love you!
Thanks! Necessity is the mother of invention. We’ll see what happens with regards to the federal issues, but in the meantime, I’m going to focus on creating cool content wherever we go. And we are going to go to some really amazing places. Buckle up because next year the ride may get wild. 😁
Late Dad was class of 1950-53 and Kansas State football player (Fullback). He was an older player and WWII Navy veteran. His best man in his wedding was fellow teammate and KSU Hall of Fame player Harold 'Robbie' Robinson. Their friendship was not looked upon well in those times. Looking at my Dad's photo on the wall right now playing Nebraska and other old paper clippings from games at Missouri, etc. I still have his Letterman's' jacket. He settled in Seattle where I currently reside. Mom is still alive and will be 90 in January and KSU is where my folks met. Pretty crazy that a guy from hard New York City/South Amboy New Jersey met my mom at KSU. Two different worlds. Love your guys video's for several years and we just missed your meetup in 2021 I think in Gros Ventre campground. We were there but walked right by not knowing the group was your meetup.
Loved the segments on KSU and Tuttle Creek! The Flint Hills of Kansas are beautiful, especially in the fall. Next time you are in the vicinity of the Little Apple consider visiting Konza Prairie and Sunset Zoo!
Really cool to see you stopped in Goodland, for the Flatlanders festival . I was working the funnel cake food booth for the Knights of Columbus. The car at 10:25 of your video is my daughter and son in laws Cranbrook Ratrod ! Love your adventures !
Oh I love this so much! Thank you for coming to Kansas and enjoying the serenity. The eagle footage was outstanding! And likewise the game. I'm glad you stayed a week. And I know you enjoyed the peace and quiet. There are so many lovely areas near Manhattan to visit. Konza Prairie hiking for one. So ..... come again! Thanks for showing our state some ❤.
AND….if you REALLY want to have an epic experience at a college sporting event, come back to Kansas for a Jayhawk basketball game in Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of Kansas University in LAWRENCE. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! Plus Lawrence is one of the most beautiful little cities ever. Massachusetts Street, Mount Oread. The campus itself is just gorgeous. Oh please come back!
I think that you are doing it right. There is too much emphasis on buying the latest and greatest. Your rig looks great. As long as you can keep on top of any issues that crop up, keep enjoying what you have.
What a great reason to travel. I am really enjoying watching these college towns play and learn about their traditions.
Sean, here's a name for your adult/fireworks outlet: The Big Bang. That Malibu/Chevelle body that still has solid floorboards would be a prize up here in Maine. The ones that escaped becoming stock cars succumbed to rust decades ago up here. (The Limited Sportsman class at our local dirt-track speedway was almost all Chevelles in the late 1970s through the 1980s.)
LOL on the big bang. Good one. Yes, I’d like to see those older vehicles rescued and restored. Maybe somebody will take on that Malibu project
Thank you for such a heartwarming look at what I call "God's Country." I spent four very memorable years in Manhattan going to K-State. And while some of it was tough, I have very fond memories. Almost makes me want to turn the dial back 25-30 years.
I'm a Kansan and I sincerely appreciate your story of Kansas. I'm glad you got out west too,.Well done. Come back for Basketball season and try to get ia seat in Allen Fieldhouse for a KU game.
Thanks, we will be back for KU!
well you have me convinced. time to spend some time in Kansas. I agree with your old truck theory. Keep 'em well maintained and they will last for decades. I would not be in any rush to change. As always, safe travels....
As a native of LAWRENCE, Kansas, and a graduate of Kansas University, I must admit that it hurt my heart a little to see my Long Long Honeymooners pumping the school to our west. However, I will admit that there is beauty and solitude in all parts of our state, including Manhattan. Now, the Jayhawks are on the rise in football, and believe it or not, we still hold the all-time lead in head-to -head wins over Kansas State. I know winter camping in Kansas is not as enjoyable as in other seasons, but DO come watch a Jayhawk basketball game in Allen Fieldhouse!! Many call it the BEST place to watch ANY sporting event! Come visit!! Love you guys!!
Ugghhh… booo on the purple, sorry Rock Chalk Jayhawk go KU! anyway all that to say I’ve watched y’all for a few years, I was born and raised in Kansas City and I moved to Gulf Breeze/Ft Walton Beach area in 2012, but work across a few counties here in the panhandle, so I am in Walton County a lot, and am familiar with 30A 😍 which I know you love too. But fun fact, go ahead and google check me if you like, but Kansas is NOT the flattest state as everyone incorrectly assumes, actually the state I reside in now, Florida, is the flattest state in the country. Just a fun fact from a Kansas girl living in Florida, lol but yes the Kansas plains are quite beautiful and I will always call it home ❣️
I'm in Kansas now, coincidentally. The Cracker Barrel server told me the Kansas state tree is the goal post.
Tuddle Puddle!
Wow! If I'd known you were going to be that close to me, I would have shown up wearing my pink LOLOHO/Baby Girl tee shirt!
(I-70 through Indianapolis has endless construction also.)
Thank you for showing our hometown Manhattan KS and Kansas State University! The campus is beautiful in the spring when the redbuds bloom! My husband and I loved growing up there and going to College. We moved away and have lived in several states but now have retired in Missouri. We hope to go Full Time Rving in this next year! Happy and Safe travels! PS next time stop at the lookout off of I77 between the interstate and Manhattan to see the Flinthills there as well.
We really had a great time there. I was totally content hanging out at the lake with the Eagles! 🦅
Wow, I live about about 15 mile from tuttle puddle, next time down I-70 stop in Lawrence and tour Allen Fieldhouse (or catch a game) "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" There's your history 'fix'. Great Video!
Thank you for all the kind words about Kansas. We are based in Sterling. A small quite town about 30 min NW of Hutchinson. We do have a small R V park at our lake if you would like to stop in. We are on the road out West right now. Stop in if you come our way.
Drove from Spartanburg, SC to Spokane, WA. I remember Kansas as 480 miles of corn fields. Flat corn fields. Had a little detour and stopped for a train. The Wabash Cannonball Train.
Lived in Kansas all my life we like to keep it on the down low .Thanks for the great video but now lots of people know about it that's OK you need to live here to appreciate the beauty.
Your editing has gotten very good!
Thanks for coming to Kansas and visiting Manhattan. Two big things you missed talking about: 1) The Flinthills which you drove through west of Topeka; and 2) Call Hall ice cream made on the KSU campus, best ice cream you will ever have.
Love Tuttle Creek COE where you stayed, it flooded a few years ago and was closed, hence that's why there were so many dead trees for the eagles to land on. Come back sometime and I can take you to some hidden gems for camping.
Thanks, we heard about that ice cream! We will definitely need to check it out next time. Thanks for your kind comments. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Come down to Texas A&M football. You’ll love it.
You should never be upset with a honeymoon salad. What is a honeymoon salad, you may ask. Lettuce Alone. (Let us Alone)
To be honest, we at first dismissed these latest videos featuring college towns and football teams. But to our surprise, these have been some of our favorite content! Please, please keep this up. We are long time watchers and love what you do. Thank you 😊
Thanks, these videos are time consuming to produce and there’s little incentive in the algorithm (RUclips prefers product reviews and so forth)… I initially was thinking we’d do a run of 8-12 college town tour videos to see how well it is received. We’ve done 4 so far. I will try to keep it going. I’m sure some will succeed better than others but that is the nature of creative work. Appreciate the feedback!
No stickers? That eagle shot was phenom!
Ok..another great video. Seriously, the filming, editing and story was great. This series has to the best RUclips Travel series that I have seen. PS...Flat isn't always better!😉
Wow, thanks! LOL yes there are alternatives to flatness that are also quite nice 😀
Really enjoying the “football” themed travel :-) thanks for sharing!
Thank you Steph! Each video will kind of take on a character of its own, depending upon what we find. And whether or not our truck breaks down lol.
MASTERY OF EDITING SEAN! Your best ever! Been watching you for years, and with this one it'll be great to see you get over 55 MILLION VIEWS on your channel! Well earned, well enjoyed. Best to you both! LOLOHO!!!
Loving the series, keep 'em coming! Enjoy guys!
Thanks for watching! I know it’s a little different, but it is nice to change things up once in a while and try something new. I appreciate your tuning in.
Another great episode. Seemore is a lo lo ho icon along with Liv :)
The best part of Manhattan, KS is it’s the home town of Ingrid Stevens.
We shared your video with our son. He spent the last 4 years on the drumline playing snare. He will share your video with his Pride of Wildcats marching band friends! EMAW!!! Go Cats!!!
Great band! Really, the band adds so much to the game day experience. Universities and college football would not be the same without the wonderful marching bands. We especially love the Kansas State band tradition of going into restaurants the night before the game.
The next time I go across Missouri...RT36 looks to be the way to go.
I have taken RT20 across Iowa, that was sweet with little to no cars.
I live near i-70 in Ohio...I-74 to I-39 works the best to avoid Chicago...
Just saying.
Northwest, North Central and especially Northeast Kansas is FAR from flat.
My favorite post by LLH ever and I have been on board for a very long time. Grew up on a farm in this wonderful state and have lived my entire life in the Sunflower State. KSU grad. EMAW! Come back soon LLH.
Thanks, we had a great time! We'll be back!
Thanks for stopping in the Land of Oz.
We're trying to keep it a secret. There's been such a mass migration the past few years around the country, but not much in Kansas. As locals we like it that way. Howerver Everyone is friendly and love to share it with people as they past through.
Yes, our home state of Alabama has also flown under the migration radar in recent years. I think it has helped us dodge some of the craziness in the world! I appreciate there are still places like Kansas in this country. 👍
“Gotta go right!!” Sound like me and my wife when I am not paying attention! Love the video. Have to ask, are you using a contract editor now? The videos are commercial TV quality.
Nope! All edited by Sean. If you go back to some of our older travel videos (like our video on the U.P. of Michigan) you’ll see he has edited many videos in this storytelling fashion over the years. It just takes a lot more time and planning to make videos this way.
Great video! Thanks for highlighting K-State, 1989 Alum. Aggieville...spent more time and money than I should have while attending K-State. LOL
I recommend Lincoln, Nebraska for your next stop. Great game day experience.
Thanks for such a terrific video about K-State and the Manhattan area. All 4 of our kids are K-State graduates and we have always thought it was a wonderful school and environment for them. Take care and safe travels!
That is awesome! Thanks, we really enjoyed the area.
Great parting comment, Sean! Safe travels. Thanks for sharing yours with us.
That's called a "Honeymoon Salad", lettuce alone.
Yes Kansas is a beautiful state, I too have driven across it several times and didn't appreciate it until rode across on the motorcycle. Just gotta get off that interstate to really experience it.
Excellent point... can't really judge an entire state by what you see on the interstate!
My 2000 F250 has a lot of good miles left in it. New engine, all four brakes just serviced, new rubber, (Clarification for Sean, the truck type rubber, not the adult type). No reason to change truck or camper at this time. I am running around fixing up the usual yearly maintenance items on the Truck Camper. Heading to Albuquerque to observe and photograph the Annular Eclipse and see the balloon festival. Take care...
I have a 2016 Ford F250 with 45,000 miles on it I’m thinking about going to gas and this is a diesel looks like it’s brand new but I’m not gonna discuss this over email with anybody or RUclips
We've been at Lake Wilson for a week of windfoiling... you are so correct on the stickiness of solitude. We're the only rig in our loop. $9 a day. Sean, thats a couple of beers worth of gratitude.
Nice! Thanks, we will keep Lake Wilson on the radar too.
there's something about a universities marching band and cheerleaders and the school sprit it generates.
Yes, the bands are an extremely important part of the package. Without the band, the atmosphere would not be the same. Much respect to bandmembers everywhere!
Long Long folks: $24.oo per nite for a campsite??!!!!!!!!! How do they do that? Around these parts (Eastern MA, N.H. etc) it winds up being anywhere from $35...to $47....to $50.... bucks or more 65.oo plus in the resort type campgrounds. That is for a smidgeon of a speck of a site, not always with full hookups. So again I ask- How do they do that?!
If it works, don’t try an fix it. SEEMORE and the Airstream are just gently broke in 🚗🇺🇸
y'all are getting really good at this!
yeah, i'm always amazed at how well Kansas State competes with the "big boys" in college football
Thanks, and yes, you know that K State sneaks up and beats someone every year that they are not supposed to beat!
get rid of Seemore millions will unsubscribe. thanks for the great video.
Sean next time take hwy 60 across southern MO. 4 lane little traffic beautiful scenery.
Hope y’all are going to College Station and experience the Spirit of Aggieland…
Midnight Yell and Kyle Field is a must for college football lovers!!!
Did you take the drone video with the eagle? Surprised that the drone wasn't attacked.
Just went over that hwy a few days ago WOW! Then we stopped just outside Louisville Kentucky on Hwy 65 south. When we left to go to Nashville, Tn we had to go by way of 65 South it was worse and was under construction all the way. On the Tennessee side it did get better. Staying in a very nice campground called Two Rivers. Live music every night in the Campground and camping world right next door. Shuttles to broadway (down town) for $10 round trip.
Take hwy 36! Just head down to 70 once you get to Prairie Dog State Park (can't think of the town). We stayed on hwy 36 into CO and that was a mistake. Kansas and MO have good state parks on Hwy 36. We found Lewis and Clark Recreation Area in Yankton SD near Sioux City and it's a beautiful state park campground. So many of those out there!
Lived in Kansas for 14 years and three tours at Fort Riley.
The historic trails, Eisenhower Center, the Forts and cow towns are missed by flyover or drive-by travelers....their loss.
Born in Kansas over 3/4 of a century ago. If you drove I70, I hope you stopped at all the museums! As I recall, there is some weird museum at almost every exit.
Awesome, I was born in Goodland, our farm is 18 miles north in Bird City.
Reliability is ftom preventative maintenance. Oil analysis from a lab that calibrates their expensive equipment makes it last.
Same for a vehicle. Look at service ablity ,new truck manufacturers ar not releasing info to the aftermarket.
How many dealers are there. Vs aftermarket shops.
Im averaging 33k a year in repairs for an over the road freightliner.
Emmission components dont last
8 years like they should. I have to pay approx 10 k every 24 months just for dpf's and their diagnostics that only dealers can do.
Pre emmission trucks were 1200 a year in unexpected repairs that i could fix.. now i cant oem isnt sharing info with the aftermarket
Research what other trucks in your price range are costing their owners.. it cant be much better. Love your videos. Lets me see what i cant stop for cause im working on an electronic log system...
Yup if that truck is running good and getting the job done keep it. Even if you have to put money into it. New diesels are becoming nightmares so if you do upgrade go gas. Newer gas trucks can tow that rig easily.
Just went across Kansas on I-70 a few weeks ago in our class A. Agree with your assessment: crowded and rough. Another great video! Love the eagle!
Well! That’s a matter of opinion!!😂😂😂
Why would anyone want to get rid of a good truck and a awesome camper that have been all over the United States for something you know nothing about. Seymore has been a good truck with just a few hiccups and a little body work from that deer.
Just want to say that we are loving this series of videos. We've seen probably every one of you've produced over the years and the quality of these are fantastic . You've really upped your editing game although it's not just that. The content and story telling is on a personal and heartfelt level and we appreciate that. Thanks much and happy travels!
Gosh I love your channel! Love the humor and the thoughtful observations. I wear my Loloho t-shirt proudly
Thank you so much! We’re honored that you’re wearing a Loloho shirt! 💗🤙🏼
Thank you so much!
This is a great series. Something I thought of doing for the early season with div 1 wrestling to see some matches but the football games down in the south look fun. The big national parks are becoming less appealing for me with their mass influx of newly woke Tourons on scene...🤦♂️ We've switched our sites towards Alaska instead.
Your next salad will have crickets in it. Courtesy of the WEF. LOL Great work again on your adventure of college games.
Love this series of college football and university towns, Kristi and Sean. This was a very artistic video and well done. Loved the intro coordination of music and driving and that bald eagle shot. Well done. Safe travels out West to your happy place in Wyoming.
I see you are heading west... Are you planning on seeing a U of Wyoming game? I was in Jackson and Teton NP last week. It is beautiful this time of year, well it is always beautiful.
EMAW
EMAW
So sorry we missed you. Glad you enjoyed the central Flint Hills.
Who else was waiting for the Eagle to take out the drone?
That thought crossed my mind! The drone has a zoom, so I was maintaining a respectful distance. However, I think the eagle is trying to decide whether it would be a nice lunch. 😀
It's so flat, how flat was it?
I could stand on a 5 gal. busket and see 5 more miles in the distance.
Were you on Hwy 24 this last Saturday heading to Colorado Springs by chance? If not you have a twin. We love Kansas campgrounds. Have stayed at Wilson Lake COE and Kannapolis Lake COE. They are peaceful and quiet.
Yes, that was us! We were on our way to the Air Force Academy game in Colorado Springs.
@@kristymichael Hubby said I bet they are heading to the game. Will have to let him know he was right. lol
My wife and I flew to Kansas City and drove to Manhattan for a Los Lonely Boys Concert at KSU once because that was the closest they were going to be to Boston that year.
Take in an Ohio State game at the Shoe in Columbus!
Thanks for showing a bit of the actual camp sites, roads and camper interests.
Outstanding Achievement for content creation!
Lived there, that was enough. But appreciate your video's.
Each week you give us more inspiration to do what you are doing now. Thank you. Your rig is fine why spend the extra money unless you want to.
" Fireworks and adult toys, if you could combine those two businesses..." ROTF!
Keep Seemore and the Airstream, they're great.
Really liking this series, it's inspiring!
Thanks for watching, Alan! It's fun to try something new. I'm glad some people are appreciating it.
You can't do a college football series without coming to the stadium sell-out capital, the University of Nebraska!! GBR
We will definitely do Nebraska at some point! GBR 👍
😂😂 unopened item 😂😂😂
Last week we drove to Colorado through Missouri and Kansas, and Mizzou was way too hilly, and too much traffic , like you mentioned. Both states have questionable Rest areas, especially Missouri. But, the worst part is I -70 in Eastern Colorado, OMG that highway is tore up !!! I usually go to Colorado through Iowa, and Nebraska on I- 80, so i returned that way on the way home even though it added 2 hours to the drive. Nebraska/ Iowa is so better and easier to drive through !
LOL yes something needs to be done about that stretch of I-70!
I’m a K-State alum so I loved this! We would have been at Tuttle Creek this week except for a fall that sidelined my husband and brought our camping adventures to an early end this season. 😢 Thanks for the positive look at Kansas! (And I totally agree with you about I-70!)
Sorry to hear about your husband’s fall. I hope he’s feeling better! Yes, we really enjoyed that little campground and ended up staying there almost a full week. I’ve never stayed any place where eagles were perching in the trees next to our campsite every day. That was a treat.
Now... when are you going to go to Auburn University ;-) War Eagle!
We will try to make the iron bowl this year!
Good watch, thanks for covering Manhappiness!
Thank you too! We had a great time there!
That intro was intense. 😂
Glad you made it to the heartbeat of America. Being a Husker fan, even though we have been on a forever drought. Go to Lincoln on a game day and experience what big time football is all about. K State has great traditions but when you pack Memorial Stadium in Lincoln with 90 plus thousand Husker fans your system will be shocked
Will do! We definitely will attend a Husker game someday. I remember when Big Red ruled college football. I'm sure you will be back someday. My team (Alabama) also went through a lengthy drought. It takes the right coach / leadership to awaken the machine.
As a native Kansan and a native born Wildcat, I really appreciated the positive light in which you shared your adventure. As you found, there are beautiful places to RV in Kansas. Sorry about Vista Burgers. Back in the day, it was about the only thing in town. But today, Manhattan is no longer the sleepy little cow town it once was and sports a lot of good local places to eat. We live in the Kansas City area now, near our other great sports team, the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence. If you’re back in the area, ping us, we’ll take you out for some truly awesome BBQ.
Haha thanks! I think we just caught Vista burger on an off day. My brother once lived in the Kansas City area I know you have wonderful barbecue there. We would love to take you up on your offer someday. We will definitely be back!
Thank you for a great video! I grew up just North of Manhattan. Spent a lot of time there. Some of my memories as a young child was going to the K-State football game with my Grandfather with all the excitement of the crowd and the game. Love the Eagle in the tree. Great job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Heh. Sweet drone footage. Shot of a life time. When no one's around, I pet my drone... 😂
Yes, I was thrilled to have those eagles hanging out next to us every day. My drone has a zoom feature, so I was able to maintain a respectful distance, although I wondered if the eagle might decide to eat my drone for lunch. With that said, I now I am thinking about getting a drone with a telephoto camera built-in. It would’ve been very nice to have in this situation.
Glad to see you enjoyed my state! You were very near where I live when in Manhappiness. We have pregamed many times at Tuttle, the camping there is great. Come back some time. I could give you some pointers.
Thanks, we would happily return! We had a great time in the Little Apple!
Its Wa BASH Like BASH, Sean!! It was a Railroad. My dad worked for them.
I’m using the original Bavarian pronunciation.
Though I live in eastern Colo, I just LOVE Kansas State Parks. They are just incredibly nice. KS is my neighbor, a good thing. :) Nice video! Thanks again y'all.
My Irish grandmother had a name for that salad, “The Honeymoon Salad, Lettuce alone”.
Ha ha that is great. I will remember that one. Yes, it was definitely a honeymoon salad.
Your videos just get better and better! Interesting, enlightening, entertaining!
Thanks for your kind comments! These videos have taken a little bit different direction. It is fine to try something new and I really appreciate the positive feedback.
