AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on RUclips are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

Oklahoma played @ BYU for the first time ever this season. Everyone was blown away by the kindness and generosity of their fans and students. I think they even give the away fans free ice cream during the game. Unique sports experience no doubt.

I'm not a sports fan, but I'm a LOLOHO fan. These aren't so much about the games as the campus culture at each stop, and you still report on the camping accommodations. It's got to be a challenge to come up with new themes for content, and so far I'm enjoying this series.

Wow, outstanding job on this video! You always tell such a great story. As a Latter-day Saint, I think you did an excellent job showcasing our school and faith. I grew up in northern Maine and served my church mission in Salt Lake City, Utah over two decades ago. I enjoyed it so much I moved back to Utah nearly eighteen years ago and settled in the suburbs of Salt Lake City to raise a family.
I've never been to a BYU Cougars game in person, so perhaps I'll have to go in the future. Thank you again for stopping by our great state of Utah. LoLoHo!

Thank you for a positive video about the LDS Church. I'm no longer an active member of the Church, but the values of being self-sufficent and the strong ties of community within the church are a true testament of the LDS Church. I did serve a mission in Northern California and did go to Ricks, now BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, ID. happy travels and I'm glad that you enjoyed your time in Utah.

Thanks, LoLoHo! I think it’s awesome that they show how you can easily have an awesome day and night out without alcohol, bad language, and slutty attire. Every person has the right, in this country, to adopt their own standards. Hats off to those who don’t feel living down to the standards of the mass media is necessary or desirable. You don’t have to accept or adopt a bad idea. I’m no Mormon, but I can fully support the idea of living a decent life of service and dignity.

    • @LongLongHoneymoon
      @LongLongHoneymoon  6 месяцев назад +1

Thanks, that is kind of my perspective also. In these days of no standards whatsoever, I respect those communities who draw a line. Even if I might draw the line a little differently myself. That’s what America is all about. And I cannot deny that I have had nothing but positive experiences, and interactions with people from that faith. What they are doing is working, and they have my total respect.. I appreciate your watching this kind of video with an open mind. I really appreciate your watching and understanding.

One of the things about members of the LDS is that with their preparedness they use those supplies to help take care of widows and their families until the widow remarries. There's no such thing as food insecurity among the LDS. They're extremely nice people too!

We live on 24 acres in East Texas, though we don't use the term prepper, we call ourselves resilient homesteaders. We grow a large garden, do pressure canning, dehydrating and freeze drying. Also we hunt and fish. Looking forward to what's next on your channel after football, maybe you can do a series on State Parks and things that are special in the communities near state parks. As much as we enjoy the National Parks and National Forests and even BLM, we often find them to crowded, un-kept or unappealing. Plus the restrictions on content makers filming is a direct violation of Free Speech. If you ever find yourselves in East Texas and need a place to rest, we have two RV sites on our property you're welcome to stay in.

No bud, nice. Should be the policy everywhere. Would have been something to grow up in an area that did not have a bar on just about every other corner.

I've been out of the LDS Church for twenty years now. It was a twenty-year detour in my life that effects me to this day. Although she was encouraged to divorce me when I left Mormonism (let's call it for what it is and was for over 180 years), my wife did not. We spend several weeks in Utah every year. I enjoy it there because I understand the people and love the geography. Utah-12 is the most inspiring road in America. My wife now realizes her tribe is just as crazy and delusional as everyone else but it's her tribe. You should stop at the Mountain Meadows National Monument on your way headed back east and learn about the LDS elephant in the room. Listen to MormonStories podcast while you drive to learn things about LDS culture that the faithful will never admit. Really enjoying your college football tour episodes.

I am a simple traveler and I report what I see and experience. Everyone who I’ve ever encountered who happened to be LDS has treated me with great consideration and respect. I choose to draw my own personal boundaries differently, but I have total respect for those who commit to a well reasoned system and achieve success. I feel the same about the Buddhist philosophies in Southeast Asia. If it works for you and your community, it works. 👍 Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Thank you for all your great videos. Since you guys are avid BLM Campers, I was wondering if you were aware of legislation about "Natural Asset Company" being proposed by the NYSE? I fear if this is passed that camping on BLM land would be significantly impacted. Would you be willing to ask your subscribers to contact their legislators to deny this proposal? The forum for public response is of course during the holidays and the vote is supposed to take place on or around January 2nd.

"the buying and selling of undefined “rights” to certain private and public lands, including to foreign nations and noncitizens, to terminate and prevent all economic activity on such properties."
To my understanding, a company could buy rights to a portion of BLM land and restrict all access...

LOLOHO FTW! Internet broken with that photo and title. Everyone can blame Sean. Engaging, Thoughtful content, well written and edited as always. I would have thought you'd head to Standord instead of Cal Berkeley. Stanford has RV parking adjacent to their stadium! Berkeley??? I can never find a decent place to park in the city of Berkeley, ever! Since you're out this way, please come to the coast and enjoy New Brighton State Park, perched on a bluff overlooking Monterey Bay. Your "ask" at the end of this video compelled me to make a donation. Great work you two!

Haha we have a software tool that will automatically test 2 different thumbnails to see which one works best. When it learns which thumbnail gets a better response it chooses that one. Which one did you prefer? The stadium shot or the football shot?

Thanks much for your support! We went to Berkeley mainly because that week it seemed to have the best game offering with affordable ticket prices (always a plus!). You are correct about parking -- we purchased a place for our truck beforehand and did not even try the RV. Next time we will go for Stanford! Stay tuned for the Cal video, it should be entertaining! 😆

Do you really have to ask, Sean? You mean the thumbnail of your better half, partially covered up with that football? Lucky dog.
Hope you do make it out to Santa Cruz County. Per Less Junk more Journey, that strip of coastline was their favorite part of their long cross country trip in 22. And update us on how the crystal ceramic coat is holding out. Thanks for all you're doing.

On the other hand, seems like a big brother putting limits on your freedoms. Adults should have the choice to consume beverages of their choice, like you do as soon as you left your home town. For all the griping you do about restrictions in California, it does not follow that these restrictions are OK by you. Isn’t California just a larger community making their own rules? Good for me but not for thee?

    • @kristymichael

I think the difference is that in this area, it’s a choice that is left up to the individual. You can buy alcohol all around Provo. It’s readily available. Just not on campus at BYU. The school actually provides a separate tailgate lot for visitors who want to bring and consume alcohol. So, even though BYU doesn’t want alcohol at their events, they provide a space for visitors who do. I highly doubt any of their opponents provide an alcohol and foul language free zone for them when they visit. It seems pretty tolerant to me.

Stay tuned -- our next video will be a celebration of California! I actually love California... most of my jokes have been intended to poke fun at lawyers. But seriously, I get where you are coming from. Overall my personal preferences are more libertarian, but travel has allowed me to experience extremes on both sides. From my "dry" hometown to places like Amsterdam where psychotropic drugs are available with your morning coffee. The successful approach for most people & cultures seems to be somewhere in the middle. I do respect people having some sort of fundamental honor code. I've visited many large cities (Tokyo, Bangkok) where there is no fear of crime/theft whatsoever - mainly because the people observe an honor code and if crime happens it is punished. Where there is no honor code and crime is not punished, it kinda ruins the place. I removed some jokes from this video because they might offend some people, but you are probably not going to get mugged in Provo... and I didn't notice the retail stores locking products behind glass enclosures. 😬

As a University of Utah alumnus, I am personally offended that you would go to BYU-Provo and mix with the Zoobs. Go Utes. 🤣 And BYU-Provo is a marginal academic and athletic school far inferior to the University of Utah.
