the conversion is no longer available. who knows if they'll put it in the game for everyone or just early adopters.
This is a Drake ship after all, multiple turrets, several craft being stored and serviced, huge amount of storage, large large areas for crew... And one toilet with designers trying to figure out whether that will be located in the galley or in the deep dark under reaches in engineering.
I have to admit, I started the video for the Kraken, but stayed around for the comments.

It drives me crazy that ships like this can enter atmosphere. I have to get out of my chair to move a box but you can lift 18+million kg 3 football field long hunk of metal from full gravity into space... nah dawg
I am really curious how they are going to balance capital ships.
Having 10 people sitting in the back of a fight needs to bring some astonishing benefits to make up for the 10 people not in the front.
Good point. There’s quite a few two seaters now that either boring for the Gunner/tech or just aren’t worth not bringing another ship instead.
An empty capship is an easy target, not everyone wants to fight either, so the 10 people not in a snub battle weren't going to be there anyways.
@@HunterSteel29 yeah but orgs don’t work that way when they want to be successful, if it it more effective to field 2 gunships and 2 medium fighters instead of a Kraken, it is what they will do.
CIG will have to get some really good balancing ideas to generate situations where you need certain kind of ships in a fight and others in a different… it would be mindblowingly boring if they manage to allow a „fits all comers“ meta.

Idea! What if one could rent a AWS container for security and other things for Kraken with RSI link software inside the container.
TIL I can turn my Krack into a Priv version at a drydock...... I wonder if CIG will sell that "upgrade" like the K package for the Idris, as like a modular type thing.
I find it odd that all the turrets are manned. I would think that the majority would be remote from the command deck. I cannot believe in the future any turret would be manned if its far from the command deck. That would be a logistical nightmare if someone had to run across the ship to man it. The other option would be sitting there all the time but then that person cannot do anything else.
I also find it odd that the fuel reserves are so close to the flight deck. I hope the walls are reinforced to protect them in case a ship explodes on deck. If the fuel goes up then the entire ship will blow in half..
CIG does manned turrets for engagement purposes, as unrealistic as they are.

Just wait for the tears, when everyone goes out solo in their Kraken, and it gets taken by pirates.
