Although I'm definitely not in any place to make much criticism, but might i suggest a gold block on the front of the engine instead of the deepslate face? Could be the single front light that older locomotives had
You have got it right. There would not be a locomotive on the back, the train would push the carages in reverse. Thats exactly how it is in real life. Nice build
Your world is a work of art! Can't even explain how much your videos inspired me. I've come back to my world and just started building stuff for the "lore", not only functionality and my "two week Minecraft phase" still hasn't ended (it's been a year). Thank you, man!
Beautiful. The narration, pacing, timelapse building, and cinematic shots make your videos top notch!! This world is a couple years old now at least, yeah? I rarely have time to watch YT, but it's so nice to feel at home in a long-term world. Please keep this world going forever.
You could add some layers of black stained glass inside the tunnel, make sure to have open air between each layer to get the fading to darkness effect that you seem to be going for!
Bro i have been feeling very bad the last 2 days. Been vomiting nonstop and i cant even drink a glass of water without vomiting. Its horrible but watching your videos helps me a little to go through. The chill vibe and your voice are very calming. Thank you!
I did this inside a ship I made! Also, If you use a lodestone compass and break the lodestone, the compass keeps spinning, making the vehicle look “active”
Don't worry about the train not having a back engine, many steam engines used to go forward anď backwards. Also amazing build, even though you don't know alot aboout trains you have made an amazing train
If the train pulled all the way to the buffers people would barely be able to enter the first car; I think the platform needs to be extended alongside the track so people can board
I think it would've looked cool if the last passenger car was halfway in the tunnel and the caboose was completely in it, still an awesome build anyway though 😁
Are there some things not in line with real trains? Yes. Does it matter? Not at all! You have done a great job building something where you have little knowledge but the result is great! I love that train and station. Hope I can make one that looks as good.
The engine can go in reverse. Your other option would be a turntable - for the engine to decouple, turn around and recouple, either at the front if there was another track with a point, or at the back, pushing the carriages rather than pulling them. Love the little guards' van at the end and the little station. A lovely little train. Well done. (and if you look at the Japanese script, it's pronounced Jibli, not Gibli, just fyi).
Just found your channel recently, love the way you explain things calmly and walk through your thought process with each build. Your train looks great! Plus leaving the tunnel like that will let you continue the track someday if you decide you want to!
Another great video, I haven’t played MC myself in a while but I am the same way always looking for the perfect locations to strike my fancy for builds haha . I have a suggestion/future idea for you, as an extension or continuation of the train stuff, maybe you would enjoy the challenge of building a rotary snow plow? They are a special kind of train car that clears ice and snow from tracks. I saw one in Alaska once. I think it could be very cool for the snowy area if you built more tracks or even an offshoot/connecting track (as the plow cars are stored to the side when not in use) . Just what I thought of when I saw you start your train build in the snowy section. Cheers :-)
Another Marlowe masterpiece! Regarding the "going the other way" dilemma... since you've designed this as a more classic, older-style train system... Rather than making another locomotive facing the other way, put the stopper on a gate or lift system (or just outright remove it) then build a turnaround (for instance: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_turntable#/media/File:Ferryhill_turntable,_May_2019.jpg ) on the other side of it. The locomotive can then be used as a pusher rather than a puller (since we don't have a second track to divert the passenger carriages onto). Oh, and as for the light in the tunnel... remember, a real train tunnel wouldn't have "snow" as part of its build structure... packed or not, lol... stone that whole sumbitch up and landscape the snow back over the top.
Kinda makes me think about my HORRIBLE building skills. But your channel and every build and video you make is always perfect. Im sure people enjoy watching these videos, good luck :)
If I may give one suggestion it is to redo the chimney, to me it feels like it doesn’t have one as it’s quite backward on the boiler and quite slim. Maybe a cauldron would make a good chimney?
One of my neighbors ( I.R.L. of course) is a train operator. He can reverse a train uphill. But he operates an electric train and not a locomotive so maybe it can indeed go backwards. Just take this comment with a grain of salt.
You could have made a bypass track, so the engine could hook up the other end ( in reverse, still pointing the same direction) I'm no expert but have been on many steam trains that do that.
it looks great ! i was wondering, how do you create your builds? do you plan them out in creative in another world, or do you just have an idea and build it, or something else? either way, you never fail to create something great!
Lovely train build. One slight niggle, though. How do passengers get on and off, the platform does not reach the carriages, or am I being too pedantic, LOL
Hey Marloe, what mod or whatever are you using that adds the animations to your villagers? I noticed your villagers kind of sway their arms a bit when they walk, and their eyes move left and right. What are you using that is making that happen?
Nice train ! I wanted to ask you the name of the last music please. I really liked the piano part, was cold playing this with snow and grey block but was calm and make me remember the mood of an old aunt house's.
haybale and campfire for the smoke... static stained glass smoke always looks wrong and lifeless.... maybe spiderwebs would look better too in addition of campfire+haybale
🤔 Spider webs are too bright and one color, though. And campfires only go straight up. 🤷♀️ The train moving forward would have smoke trailing behind, darker as it is puffed out, lighter as it mixes with air. 🤔 Glass and glass panes are the best medium to express that, at this time, I think. Glass even affords one some transparency with the colors. 👍 If you look at old photos of Steam locomotives, you can see this effect.
@ True, if that was the whole story. The point of this build is to tell a story with the picture created. The story, here, is the train is coming into the station. The smoke depicts the last couple seconds of movement, plus, possibly, some wind off the mountain, since the train obviously needs to be moving slower in order to stop at the station. Think of it as “reading a story”, but its pictures showing the story, rather than words telling the story.
I'm autistic, and though I don't have a hyperfixation on trains, today I watched an episode of a show on National Geographic show about trains and I started to understand why it's kind of an stereotype in English-speaking countries that autistic people like trais. They're super cool. Where I live people usually assume we'll hyperfixate on dinosaurs and/or Pokémon (both my case).
Although I'm definitely not in any place to make much criticism, but might i suggest a gold block on the front of the engine instead of the deepslate face? Could be the single front light that older locomotives had
a redstone lamp would also work
@@solahifuefos9301 and u could make it be able to turn on and off
you are quite possibly the mose wholesome minecraft youtuber i've ever watched. your videos always make me smile.
Lokomotives had reverse gears, even the early ones. 😉
You have got it right. There would not be a locomotive on the back, the train would push the carages in reverse. Thats exactly how it is in real life. Nice build
Or a turntable/track loop would be built to allow the engine to run around the coaches
Your world is a work of art! Can't even explain how much your videos inspired me. I've come back to my world and just started building stuff for the "lore", not only functionality and my "two week Minecraft phase" still hasn't ended (it's been a year). Thank you, man!

Your vibes are immaculate, as always. It’s lovely to just stop by, watch a build, and experience the calming atmosphere.
Your train looks great. I think you could accent the front a little more to make the face pop, but it looks fantastic.
Clocks and compass can look like gauges in the cab of your train.
I did this inside a ship I made! Also, If you use a lodestone compass and break the lodestone, the compass keeps spinning, making the vehicle look “active”
11:10 I saw the station and immediately thought of the train station from spirited away before you even said anything, so you definitely nailed it!
I love that talking about spruce trapdoors sounded like an ad read. Another beautiful build
hayao miyazaki would be proud if he saw the train station (vous êtes le meilleur) :)
The glass smoke was brilliant. Wonderfully made. But yeah I agree with the suggestions of putting a sort of block that would represent the lights.
Don't worry about the train not having a back engine, many steam engines used to go forward anď backwards. Also amazing build, even though you don't know alot aboout trains you have made an amazing train
Missed opportunity to not put a bell on the train
I just wanted to thank you for the calming and healing glimpses into your world. Have a great holiday season and happy New Year, Marloe.
You Should Move the Chimney forwards to make it look more "realistic"
That looks great dude, including the new, non-train builds. I really like the station. 👍👍
For the tunnel you should put layers of black stained glass in front of the concrete, it will make the illusion better. 😉
Lovely build all over, a real classic
If the train pulled all the way to the buffers people would barely be able to enter the first car; I think the platform needs to be extended alongside the track so people can board
I think it would've looked cool if the last passenger car was halfway in the tunnel and the caboose was completely in it, still an awesome build anyway though 😁

That’s a pretty good train! You do have enough passenger cars to feed a ski resort🤔, there. 😉 ❤
You should have made one of the train cars a "first class" car. Fancier and more refined. Good job!
Ooh I like this idea, especially after listening to Murder on the Orient Express! (Hercule Poirot always likes riding first!)

looking good love the videos my guy
Nice Build Buddy !! Wishing you a very happy new year ! Pale gardens tour next time, please .
I love your details so much... inspired and leading for my next builds❤
Just found your channel recently, love the way you explain things calmly and walk through your thought process with each build. Your train looks great! Plus leaving the tunnel like that will let you continue the track someday if you decide you want to!
There is no man who can do a more perfect gameplay series than you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Marloe!!!
I would suggest building a turntable at the end. Would mean the train could turn itself around and to the back of the carriages
Content's so good I didn't even realize until halfway into the video that this isn't a Create train
I was expecting the train to be moving with pistons :D anyway beautiful as always!
Another great video, I haven’t played MC myself in a while but I am the same way always looking for the perfect locations to strike my fancy for builds haha . Amazing! Love trains, it's beautiful 😭 ❤
I love it! Great idea and design, potentially one of my favorites of your world!
Man I love your videos so much

This is absolutely awsome !!
Wonderful train! Magic works for me 😉😉
Yeeeeeees! So excited
Great video!
Very impressive train good build Marloe
Don’t worry about the backwards thing, steam trains are perfectly capable of going backwards!
Great job! Love it 🥰

Wonderful addition to the base.

It's is a very good looking train. 🎉🎉
11 minute crew!!! 🎉
What if you built a hot spring that the mountain river leads to?
Your builds are just incredible. How long did this one take you to make?
You said chuffed like Mombo's selfmade word😂👍
I love it’s Marloe and I love trains so this is a dream video for me
Love watching your videos. 😊
Really like the bg music you chose for this vid
Cheers from Brazil, good video 🎉❤
Cool skin where did you get it from and by the way amazing video and great build keep up the great work😁

A real cool build 👍🏻
I think, I would like to build one too... 🤔
Yeah, I will do it 😁

Before Even watching i can say this is going to be 10 relaxing minutes
it looks great !

I have my creative world to plan in! Don’t think I could build without it nowadays hahaha
cool train love all ya videos xx
You could lay an actual minecart track through the rails so the train track can actually be used
Trains and Tunnels, my two favorite things in one video what more could i ask for
Your voice is so soothing
I still cannot believe he makes this kind of staff one by one
Lovely train build.
One slight niggle, though. How do passengers get on and off, the platform does not reach the carriages, or am I being too pedantic, LOL
Uhhhh… very carefully lol
Next make a big fortress hide villagers in the walls, or put them in a dungeon and start a raid
yayy
3:10 I’ve done this with my dad 😂
Hey Marloe, what mod or whatever are you using that adds the animations to your villagers? I noticed your villagers kind of sway their arms a bit when they walk, and their eyes move left and right. What are you using that is making that happen?
epic
Nice Video :)
Yay I like trains train process to rush through with hot hot hot chocolate
Nice train ! I wanted to ask you the name of the last music please. I really liked the piano part, was cold playing this with snow and grey block but was calm and make me remember the mood of an old aunt house's.
this dude needs to do a colab with kolanii
Viewing the bridge and the locomotive with the windmill in the foreground reminds me of the Thomas the tank engine intro
You can put a crane next to the train makes it look like crane picks it up and moves it to the other end
Hello marloe, how was your christmas?
do a plane next

@StarNanny but it aint moving foward... Otherwise it would be a CREATEMOD train... It's static so haybales with campfire is logical

Soulless vanilla content
speaking of cool
Have any ideas to build a Pirate ship in the future?
i like trains
you should download create mod and make a working train
If you got the create mod you can make the train move for real

I know what I’m gonna build in creative now!
You do realise that 🚆 , just like 🚗, have reverse ⚙️
HEY its based off my idea!
