This mod was basically my introduction to modded Minecraft; played it on my first multiplayer server too. It was good enough to introduce me to machines and such, but in so many ways it was clunky and inefficient. At once point I remember being severely bottlenecked by Iridium, and I had to climb a long grinding process of trying to manufacture Iridium from energy from solar panels, so that I could make more solar panels to make more Iridium. Plus, the machinery had a bad habit of exploding and destroying blocks, some of which were very difficult to replace. Later on, I found other mods and modpacks that gave the same functionality, but were much more streamlined.
@@catlife6027 It's been a while since I played Minecraft at all, modded or not. Never messed around much with Tekkit myself but I have fond memories of an SMP I watched of a bunch of childhood RUclipsrs who ran it. Most glorious moment was when they decided to allow one guy to go Creative mode to rebuild his base after it was accidentally exploded by his neighbor deciding to demolish his base with 6 nukes.
if you connect the thermal monitor to a piston in front of a lever on the nuclear reactor it can never explode ;). when it overheats the thermal monitor triggers the piston which knocks the lever off of the reactor turning it off.
