I genuinely grew up in a town called Bridgetown in Western Australia so seeing that the village was named Bridge Town was really special to me
I had a city that used to be named "Bridgetown" thinking it was a completely original name I had thought up 6 years ago, and I can say that it has upgraded from Bridgetown to Bridge City.
Bridgetown and Bridge City are cool name ngl kinda want to make a town named that
@@firediamondboy7145 agreed
@@firediamondboy7145 dude even after I changed the name to Bridge City turns out it's still not a original city name..😭😭
@@JuzzerMiner what😭 you gotta change it to Bridge state or something now
I like to think that the bridge town would be like a checkpoint for incoming boat visitors. If they want to enter the mountain area, they need to go through the bridge. Because of this, you could add a port and some boats underneath to add a small bit more life to the underside of the build. No name ideas from me, but rather some lore ideas!
Oh yeah a little port and then a path up to the bridge so you can visit =)
This build makes me think of how London Bridge in the 17th century had buildings on it much like this, would always have been an interesting site to see in person
Living bridges are so cool! Have you watched jay foreman's video on it?
This was my exact thought too🥳
Ponte Vecchio in Firenze still has this (and likely where the London Bridge at the time drew inspiration from), same goes for that one bridge in Bath I forgot the name of.
@@Zaz1560 Yes ofc, I love Jay Foreman's videos, unfished london is a great series, and love a map men video
Definitely his influence for this 👍
I've got an idea. What if you name the village "Briggeton", from old english for bridge town? I suggested this since the town seems pretty medieval, especially with those towers. Great video as always, Marloe!
Simple and concise name for a varied and vibrant town. Beautiful contrast addition!
That's what I thought of when he originally asked also
@@diegoaguilar5491 thanks! I'm glad you liked the idea 😁
@@ashleysanford8645 it is a rather common name style in the UK, the same place where old English was spoken. I think the towns named with "-ton" have some etymological connection to the old English word for village, but we'll need someone smarter than me to confirm that 😆
That's Middle English. In Old English it'd be something like "bryċġ tūn".
This is really cozy and beautiful. As a new player, I'm in awe of your skill and enjoy your presentation style.
Idea for the name of the town:
Highroad Hamlet
Bridgehaven
Viaduct Village
🙂
Every town needs that neighbor who has a mushroom and purpur house. Everything looks great. I think the eclectic house colors go well with the consistent use of tuff, spruce and oak.
I would just call it Lloyd Bridges and call it a day😀
Keep up the good work
Idea for the name: Villa pontis
Basically “Village of the bridge” in latin
bro's so goated his builds look stunning even without shaders
Having the different colored houses and the little overhangs and support pillars hanging over the side of the bridge adds so much dimensionality and visual interest to the build!!! I love your style. Keep up the good work.
As soon as I saw this I thought of those old paintings of the London bridge with all the buildings along the edge, I love this idea!
Well I guess if you need a name name it after the closest settlement then throw bridge on there lol
Your videos are always so calming and nice, thank you.
loved the build! it could be fun to extend one of the "fire escapes" to the holes in the side of the bridge, so that the vilagers could have a hidden hideout.
Inspiring idea - I want to live there!
I actually think Bridge Town is a good name, but maybe you can change it into "Bridgeton" to make it feel a couple of hundred years old. 📜
And if you want to make it horny just call it Bridgerton!
Also the ending Ton means a small settlement on a hill I'm pretty sure and that seems fit. May be wrong tho so don't quote me
Living bridges are so cool! London Bridge used to be a living bridge! Haven’t seen the episode yet but I know from the tittle it’s going to be a living bridge.
For the village I would recommend 'Esgaroth' which is the name of the town on long lake in The Hobbit.
You have outdone yourself with this bridge town. I love it so much. The houses look magnificent! The bridge is awesome and the villagers add a fun touch to it. Bravo!
I like to think that the gatehouse on the bridge is used as a watch post for the bay at the foot of the mountains, and the surrounding town has grown over time as a sort of market for both local citizens and travelers. A cool name idea for the town could be Watchers Crossing!
Because it's colorful and the view is amazing, I think Kaleidoscope could be a creative name choice.
This village is enchanting! I love it! I’ve been trying to think of a name.
Absolutely stunning! The block pallets really work, I love colourful buildings 🎉
I LOVE your videos, Marloe! The amount of effort put into these projects are incomprehensible. You deserve more support considering the time utilized making these episodes. Hope you have a great day everyday!
Most relaxing minecraft youtuber
I LOVE it! Such a great idea and it came out fantastic! I think Bridge Town or Bridgetown is a fine name. Custom villages are my favorite thing in minecraft and this may be my favorite of all.
I have to admit, I love a good Crammed Built like Villages on Bridges, on a Cliff Face or in a Ravine, they are all so very Unique and feel a lot more alive. Love the Bridge Village and I would say Bridgington.. XD
Keep it up Marloe! Loving the Build!
Reminds me of Mont. Saint-Michel when I went there with my class, a lot of small tight spaces with a lot of people. One time we went through a super super narrow stair we had to go up sideways. Anyways love this like always, Marloe!
What an amazing addition to the world mate! Definitely feeling inspired watching this.
Idea for name is: Bridllige
Such a unique creation Marloe !! So lively
Please come back to TekTopia i had a really cool idea for a village. My idea is that you do a massive custom tree house with branches for houses/buildings and i feel like its a cool idea. Another idea is to find a extreme hills biome and do a japanese or spanish style. so yeah i reckon this would be cool. Keep up the great work! 😃
This reminds me of the game Just Cause 4, in that the area you start out in is a town built on the bottom of a bridge
I am imagining a bridge so old and ancient, no one truly knowing when it had gotten built, but people tend on just living their lives, with generations and generations of people living and picking away at the bridge. Fixing and reinforcing the bridge in unique ways. Secrets like carvings, messages, tunnels, and hidden rooms dot the bridge. So much time has passed that buildings are suspended from the bridge, some able to be lowered down to the water for a better fishing spot. The ocean beneath home to far scarier creatures than the forgotten creatures who may have built the bridge.
Love this! I have a huge bridge built already in my world that looks so empty and this was super inspiring.
7:16 Marloe, if you’re gonna fly through those holes in the bridge, I highly suggest adding some lighting..also, call it “Vill-Bridge” maybe idk
I am OBSESSED with this build! ❤❤ I wish I could build other than boxes, I would fill an entire world just with bridge towns!
What an awesome video, loved the bridge town building!
My word - this is epic! Like the concept design for a town in a Ghibli movie! 💖
This is such a creative built and also soo cozy, I love it!
It doesnt look weird, it looks Great! But you are right, you have used some blocks that its not so common building blocks for houses, but that is fine too. Its charming ❤️🤗
Your camera work is just 10/10
Great build as always 🙂
LOVE this, LOVE this, LOVE this! Frostpeak Bridge for a name?
Too generic.
I like that name! But if marloe will is the question
You're back! Glad to see you posting again after all that horrible stuff happening. Can't wait to see the village on a bridge you made. ^ - ^
What do you mean, what happened?
@@Nika-cl2gg I don't know exacltly when, I'm not on yt often, but his channel got hacked. Hope that helps!
@@nocturnalwinteryeah, thanks for explaining! That sucks that he got hacked
Really beautiful execution of a great idea. I think your villagers will be very happy.
Reminds me of that one bridge in Florence -- really cool idea to make something like this in minecraft :) Even more because there are actual villagers living on it. As for a proper name of the village... Maybe you could think of something with the word ''arch''? As some kind of synonym for bridge :)
Gotta love your buildings, they look so great that i actually wanna try to Build It myself
Love your vids Marloe, some of my fav on yt to watch
The colourful houses makes me think it should be named after the Bifrost! It fits in with the snowy area as well!! 🌈
This is such an awesome build! Got me inspired to try something similar. Thank you for sharing, it was a delight watching this video, as always!
Really cool idea. It was so much fun seeing what you came up with.
I'm loving it! Thanks for the inspiration. 🙏💚
This build would fit so well in a D&D campaign or similar fantasy setting
I reckon you should call it Bridgeton Pass as travellers may stumble upon this village and stay for a short while however they'll pass thru to the other end of the bridge continuing their adventure
Reminds me of the houses on the hill going up from Howells in Bristol... Love it ❤
You very underrated. I just came across you video and I loved it😍 I also absolutly love your builds and build style
I am really grateful that I found this channel, these videos you produce are something special
Village bridge from Pokémon Black and White is one of my favorites. And this gives me similar happy vibes
I love the build. Fantastic. I also love the name BridgeTown.
In game of thrones there is a huge bridge like this with houses and shops!! This is so cool. City was called volantis and the bridge was called the long bridge
I like the town per se, but I really want to see some extra buildings at every ending of the bridge, because I think it`ll look a lot better, for the name of the town I suggest Hangletown, because it`s fitting.
Nice! I always get inspiration from your builds
I love how all the buildings have different colours but are tied together through the wood frames/details. I tried to do a similar thing ages ago but got stuck. Now I know where I went wrong! I forgot to have a block/s to tie them all together. So keen to try it out again and see what happens. Also would naming the town 'Bridgerton' be too cursed? All the villagers can be in melodrama plots hehe
(I would write diaries for them to put in their houses. And if you went and read through them all you'd figure out all the drama. But that's just cause I love adding really detailed lore and worldbuilding into my minecraft worlds.)
I mean, Bridge Town, or Bridgeton, would actually be a fantastic name for it.
how did you make that effect at 0:32 where u were just standing at one place but blocks were being placed right in front of you 😲
I’d like to see some “seedy underbelly of the city” type stuff done in the bridge legs.
Thanks Marloe for another great video. I absolutely love your videos, keep up the nice work.😊😊😊
Amazing concept, great execution
jermsy boy did something really cool and similair to this
Such an amazing build! If you could add some Iron Golems I think that would be cool.
I really love this build it inspires me so much thank you for sharing
The hell? I loved that mushroom building! What you mean it doesn't look good? It looked amazingly adorable! EDIT: I genuinely feel that Bridge Town is actually an adorable name for the town. The whole terraced houses thing is just so cute to me, so I think Bridge Town should stay!
"Testificates crossing" could be a funny name :P
Lore: a village built on a border? So in the olden days a lot of borders were marked with geographical features rather than any political boundaries, and this river could be a border between city states or towns or countries or whatever. But this bridge combines both, perhaps leading to a market, that eventually becomes permanent.
Name: Timmy Town
Idk I’m bad with names.
Since the bridge is way up high in the mountains, almost floating in the sky, I was thinking Aerie Crossing. Kind of like Airy, but with an olde English feel.
your builds are so inspiring
That bridge is pretty tough lol
Dude that’s flippin amazing!
This is such a charming build!
I propose Burijjitaun as replacement for Bridge Town !
Town name idea:
Heaven's Crossing?
Bridgeville?
The Crossing?
this is an awesome video and i have taken loads of inspiration for my Minecraft world. I thought it would be a pretty cool idea to name the bridge something unique, and then have the village name be a playoff of the bridge name e.g. if the bridge was literally named bridge you could have it as bridgetown (if you get what I'm saying) i also think it would be a pretty cool idea if you had little aqueducts above, below or on each side of the bridge to make it feel more realistic and lively!
I love this series. The first episode i saw was of you building the dam. I then started to watch from the very beginning. Your builds are amazing. I wouldnt call myself a terrible builder as I’ve built some pretty cool stuff. But i find it hard finding inspiration on what to build. Is there anything I should know that could maybe help me? Anything would be helpful to me. Thank you and keep up the great work.
A way of finding a new combination of things or being creative is writing down a topic, for example "Town" and then writing down a bunch of unrelated words and then you could try to combine these. In the process of trying to connect two very different concepts together you can come up with new intersting things. ChatGPT can also help you brainstorm ideas. ^-^
The god of building, that's what I wish to be able to do as I get older
Bridge in French is 'pont' so you could go with Pontville or if you want a real life place name, Pontarlier is nice. It's a cute place.
I hope Plo Koon’s Jedi starfighter doesn’t crash into it 😂
Reminds me of Florence, Italy !!
Bro the way you talk makes me feel safe❤
cridge town (c for all the colourful houses and ridge is for the bridge bit, just without the b lol)
I love your videos keep up the work!
It would be cool to see more villages
Great build! Love it 😍
My favourite minecraft channel!
amazing job marloe!!!
Bridgeville Township. What do you think. Great video I really enjoyed it. It reminds me of how the London Bridge once housed homes and businesses.
Marloe upload AND new life series starts today.
Lets f*cking go
name idea: tuffidgeburg (you know, brigde out of tuff)
Bridgetown looks like it came from a Studio Ghibli movie
Maybe "Overpass" or "Ponsellum" (it being a contraction of Pons meaning bridge and castellum meaning town. XD)
"Pontis" is just the word "bridge" in Latin, could be a fun name for a bridge village
Awesome build❤ Inspiring
My name suggestion is: Welcome to Overhang
woah marloe how do you even come up with these ideas
lovely builds
