This is exactly what JTC is great at...Modding and making great content. More of this please 😎
ugh... took a fine long loading moment to understand what this is. XD
@pïññed By Jayztwocent LMAO! you guys get everywhere...a bit boring now though so kindly go away thankyou
Yep. More of this, less whining please.
Just checked, out of stock!
exactly love the simple mods :D
The end result actually looks freaking awesome, so much so that it doesn't even look custom, which is, IMO, the best kind of mod.
Totally agree ! It's even better when it looks full stock =)
I like how jay says 2 exhaust fans while all the added fans are intake oriented.
God damn that mod looks good. Seriously, NZXT should make this, it looks so much better than the regular case 'nothingbox'.
Same... "exhaust" lol.... But the point was made regardless of details.
I checked the comments to see if anyone else noticed the top fans were backwards. Looked like 4 intakes and 1 exhaust, all the Corsair ones were intake and the one NZXT fan was exhaust (woulda used 5 of the same). lol
@@mr.edselectronics4814 Yea, top ones are mounted the wrong way...
@@mr.edselectronics4814 +1
Same looked to see if anyone noticed the "exhaust" fans lol 😂
I really wish I had found this video before did not know about these vents. I am sitting down looking at these at amazon and making some plans for some modding. Thank you
“I wanted a reason to cut a case and this seemed like a good idea”… Like 👍🏻
Love modding vids and build offs!
I presume the above are scam attempts so I’ve reported them.
@pïññed By Jayztwocent Reported AGAIN. Good old RUclips, too busy kicking all the REAL news channels off their platform to deal with the plague of scammers, bots and shills.
This is exactly what I love to see. I love seeing the modding stuff. Would love to see more of this stuff and tutorials on different kinds of modding.
13:12 Tech Tip: Turn those fans around for exhaust!
On the other hand... That was actually positive pressure! XD
noticed that as well... "he shows top grill" and the fans are clearly the wrong way if they should push air out...
@@sirmyself "Under pressure! Pushing down on me...." But hey, as long as it's positive, it's usually good... Looks at lab results being positive... Wel fudge. >__
Thanks for listening to one of my suggestions!! I LOVE technique breakdowns!!!! Will watch these in full, 110% of the time.
Great to see more case modding content
Agreed! This is my favorite kind of content.
Jay this is exactly what I love to see from this channel... Awesome stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate the service that Steve provides, but I love the entertainment that Jay and the boys provide.
It's the big three for me when it comes to international tech tubers.
LTT
GN
J2C
The three tech tubers i need and love for over a decade now.
For the Germans it's only Igorslab. Best German tech tuber. Basically like Steve but as a one man army with huuuuge contacts deep into the Chinese manufacture side.
you mean jay act like a dufus and Phil laugh hysterically like it's the funniest thing he's ever seen?
Yay. I love how Jay definitely took notes from the feedback in his previous vid.
"they are only a two day delivery, like if I was to order one right now they'd be here in two days."
Thanks for clearing that up for me lol
Guides and resources (printable schematics etc) for these kind of mods is top tier content.
I really like the look of this mod. I have this case for my PC and it does fine for my use, but when its time to upgrade I am 100% gonna buy these and do a nice paint job on my case. Thanks for this one Jay.
@@tspawn35 top looks funky because of the off center power button
Good luck already out of stock 🤣
Metalworking tips
- You can use Deburring Tool to smooth the cut and clean it (some sanding paper also does the trick but needs more work and creates dust that needs cleaning)
Optional:
-You can use Center Punches for marking screw holes for accuracy
-Photocopy the exhaust to use it as template and glue it where you want to cut (rice-paper if you want it to be semi-transparent)
and please, please always use protection gear for your eyes (at least) cause grinder discs do break and you dont want that piece end in your eye (got an one eye pirate-look-like colleague that is not a very happy guy anymore)
I like this content! I always enjoy watching the custom mod stuff you do because I dont have the time or attention span to actually do it myself.
@pïññed By Jayztwocent why are you impersonating JayzTwoCents? Stop trying to scam people and get a life.
These are by far the best type of JTC videos you produce.
This is cool but also hurt to watch :I
Why do u make a pc case with no airflow
The X is for crossing and the crossing is for when jay cuts the front of your cases off :)
@Ah yes, because it's important that ur PC look minimalistic rather than actually be usable
I would have bought one of your cases if they had this kind of airflow. I have NZXT fans, but went with the Corsair 4000D airflow
I bought The case mentioned in the video except in a different color I definitely would modify it a little bit
This mod looks really good, it adds a nice touch to the case in addition to the airflow.
Would like to see more cheap/easy mods or ways to customize your PC
"Steve actually has a 67 minute video on that" - I like how Jay just assumes we know he's jabbing at Gamers Nexus.
They love each other...
No homo
When I first looked at this it had 69 likes so I didn’t hit the like but whoever did is virgin
Gotta admit. They love each other. They will take a shot at one another just for the kicks and giggles 🤣
@@RedRingOfDead That and they know eachother do good work.
Anyone have a link to his video? I cant find it lol
So cool that i have this NZXT H510 case for my 1st build. It has so many great reviews on Amazon, that I didn't initially know about the airflow issue. I wanted to exchange it for the better airflow upgraded ones, but I've already disposed of the box....which I normally never do!! I also have a DeWalt cutting wheel. I thought about this type of mod, but hadn't researched grills to use in the cutouts. Plus the idea of cutting into a brand new case for my 1st build seemed like a bad one. Thanks for making this video just for ME!!
sweet ideas, keep the mod stuff coming. You guys will be fine Jay, Phil and Nick.
I freaking love it! OG mods at it's best. KEEP IT COMING JAY....
AC Infinity sells some really nice covers - The only issue is that depending on what country you live in Amazon charges almost nothing or wants an arm and a leg.
I'm from Brazil, and I'm at the "an arm and a leg" gang... I saw the product and legit wanted one of their plates+fan+controller combo for my HTPC cabinet :(
Chose the Airplate S7, tried their website, and boom, 97USD shipping for a 40USD product.
Amazon charges me $70 for shipping AND import duties, which is still a hefty cost, but probably worth it given that it's a product that doesn't exist in the domestic market (and their fans are tuned for 5V, which means I can power them from the USB port in my HTPC)
Would love a series of fixing/modding cases.
Would love to see the difference this makes compared to an unmodded case with some basic temp testing between the 2 cases! Awesome work Jay
as someone who owns this case, i was thinking the same!
Cool! I just bought a new case to mount a top rad, wish I saw this first! Thanks J and Crew!
i love it quick simple to the point and helps honestly with performance potentially.
What an awesome mod for this case, it fits so well with the theme and jay was able to do it in a blink, hopefully ge gets to do a black and white themed build there someday
Great video as always
I like your super fancy mod series', and I like videos like this with products/tips that are accessible to a modding beginner to help them get their feet wet.
"Steve actually has a 67 minute video on that" I see Steve is back to making short videos then.
Love this slower pace type videos. Gives a nice cozy feeling from a long day. :D
Finally a cheap solution for that case! Looks great; awesome content!
Damn that looks so good. Industrial and modern. Keep it up Jay.
When you see the front of the fans 13:14 then the fans are intake and NOT exhaust right? JayZTC just had a little glitch in his matrix right?
i got 2 of them and they are now installed on my H510 ... Amazing fit. Great airflow.
They sold out the next day. Of course they would... JTC approved!!!!!
Thank you
who doesn't want a pretty good excuse to cut and case mod!??! Nice job Jay!! :D - I love NZXT cases, but they are so poor in airflow that I gave up on them
They get alot of crap but they really aren't that bad. For a 70 dollar case as long as you aren't putting super high TDP stuff then it really it isn't going to choke anything as long as you leave it as only exhaust fans.
Gamers nexus even showed un there h500 review that in comparison to other cases it wasn't that much worse or louder.
So for 70 bucks you get a case that can very easily handle say a 3060 and a i5 or R5 cpu that still looks very modern and sleek.
I know this because the PC I built for my GF has a bare bones EVGA 3060 and a 3600 with a stock cooler and her temps are great.
btw Jay, looking this grid, I right away thought... man this looks like something he could incorporate on the Rebel build, but a stormtrooper build with those would be NICE!
Love these modding videos. Not as extreme as the star wars builds. Simple enough mods for the average person
I love watching the advanced stuff but this kind of thing is great too.
THANKYOU. Seriously I got all kinds of criticsm because I was creating "negative pressure" because I had "to many" input vs. output fans. I told them, NO, morons you can alter fan speed to achieve the airflow you want. Thanks for backing me up :). Oh, a simple pin router is SO much better for cutting light metal. Just make sure to pop for the cobalt bit. ;)
09:44... the sound we all wish we could make to express great joy and utter satisfaction in our own creation
when the companies cant make good cases, make it good
Nice! I just bought two of these for a future project. The link provided showed unavailable but I found some at another seller. Low inventory so act quick! Thank you Jay!
13:08 but Jay, are you sure about that? looks like they are intake too
Yay! Modding! Thanks for asking and listening to your community, Jay!
Jay, fan grills are just about the easiest things to 3d print, it's extruded 2d and has no overhangs
I was thinking the same. Sadly my case has pretty good airflow and I don'y havr an excuse to make this mod
This worket out really great with that black interiour of the case, you improved the case significatly overall
"And the top fans exhausting air."
Shows 2 fans installed as intake...
That "Why? Why not!" Mentality is why I subscribe and watch your videos. It's always fun to see!
Jay: "I was looking for some fan girls..."
Me: Wait, what?" **looks up** Oh, fan GRILLS.
Case mod stuff was something I mentioned in a video when you were asking for suggestions. Appreciate it! Glad I wasn't the only one who asked.
Have a small doubt. Someone please answer. I have a 660 watt ups. If I use an 850 watt psu(the pc will be consuming around 600-640 watt at maximum), will it affect my pc components or the ups?
No it won't your pc only pulls the wattage it needs directly from the wall that includes the ups if it can already handle your current wattage
@@bennionotieno so it is safe right? Thanks for your answer
@@47ARENA yeah definitely safe, you're welcome
So wish I would've watched this sooner! Soonest delivery date is end of January, still gonna get it. Thank you! This is exactly what the 510 needs.
Am I blind or are the top fans set to intake air? They look like they're in the same orientation as the front fans.
4 intakes and one exhaust lol
Old school case modding, Love it.
Think I still have a handheld metal cutter/nibbler somewhere in drawer from those early modding days, Before I got a Dremel and angle grinder.
Simple tips for cutting those openings - drill holes in each corner of the rectangular cutout for a cleaning cut, also buy/use a deburring tool to debur the edges, they're cheap & handy!
Jay+Grinder=Awesome+Danger². In short: A Formula for a great video! Thanks for this, Jay! Love to see stuff like this!
THANK YOU!! I love seeing mods like these!
Gotta say tour videos have been helping me through a pretty rough patch lately , also last 2 days I've been binging rtfm up to ep 9 definitely makes the days go faster . So thank you
Yes! Case mods :) The one I mentioned when you asked what we'd like to see in your channel! THX!
This reminds me of my old days of Casemodding.
Soldering blue LEDs to clear Enermax-Fans, creating Fanducts from Coke-bottles and sheetmetal as frontpanels.
Lovely. I appreciate all the new stuff but I miss the old times where you really HAD to do stuff to make your case look awesome.
Just did this mod yesterday using the white grills. I was able to get a 240mm Kraken x53 rad on the top of the case by removing the LED strip that goes across the top and placing the grill off center where the rad cleared the memory modules and heatsinks for the VRMs on the MOBO. As long as you dont mind the rad being held in place by 4 screws on one of the fan mounts it works
I love things like this, please do more of these. I love the case mods and custom stuff. I did Autobody and Paint for 13 years, I'm now going into IT so this is right up my ally. Love the channel, ignore the haters, I love the car channel too.
Very cool! Would love more detail about how to balance fan flow please!
WOW, it looks very nice, great job Jay
Thank you for making a cheap and easy mod video, looking forward to more like these!
Brilliant. Modding , repurposing , improving. Imagination is all you need. Top job and thank you
We need more of this, thanks!
This is great, because just 2 weeks ago I got fed up running my case without the front and top panels (did so for alsmost 2 yrs now)
I'm gonna order some stuff and then break out the angle grinder!
Good jerb, I always like your modding and troubleshooting content the best.
Ty very much I will do the same thing.... And ty for all the overclock videos.... I watched you from day 1...... You ve been helped me alot and you keep doing it... Love your content keep going
Really cool mod. So simple, but makes a huge difference. Adds functionality and is beginner friendly. Nice one, Jay!
These are the best videos, love watching custom stuff.
Love a good airflow mod. My first PC had a glass front panel with inch gap for airflow on the side. Temps were crap. Took a heat gun, removed the glass and glued a mesh to the front. Easy fix.
Good job Jay, looks really good. I had my doubt in the beginning of the video!
This is what type of mods i love you showing.
More bigger and better builds! Great video.
I full on love the way that came out.
Wow that looks sick. Definitely didn't think it would look that good.
LOVE THIS STUFF MATE. This is what I was talking about. Can see how much you love it also. Keep it up mate.
This video was bad ass more stuff like this please
Excellent mod. Looks really good as well!!!! Thanks for sharing
I love it! I'm in the midst of an OptiPlex 9020 MT mod, and this will be so perfect!
Such a cool Product thanks for bringing it to light Jay!
This is the stuff I love to see. doing practical custom modes. Not just adding high end RGB rainbow barf to a case. Great stuff Jay. Please do more stuff like this.
Thanks Jay, it looks awesome, I hope to see some results on this bad boy.
hehe remember doing this +20 years ago. cases back then didnt have any sort of real airflow or room for radiators.. fun times... great and fun video JTC team :)
Just completed this Mod. I have a 20 degree drop!!!! Thanks man
not only a good easy mod to add air flow but improve the aesthetics of the case aswell
This honestly looks fantastic
Loved the video, if you still looking for more video ideas. I would love to see a video series of cool and easy mods like this kind or when you had the little lcd screen inside the case
Case mods are always welcome, this is awesome to watch. Makes me wanna put some holes in my chassis lol
Damn.....that was fast. This is the type of video I love the most.
They make GREAT stuff!!! I've put a fan and controller on my Entertainment Center for cooling the consoles and on my 3D Printer rack. They're AWESOME!
That case looks awesome and super simple mod
These are one type of the videos I love from Jay!
Very Cool. This is the kind of thing I like to see and I don't think I'm alone. Seeing how to do case mod stuff is really helpful.
Now you can send this to Steve and have him evaluate it, maybe compare it to the NZXT airflow. :)
Sweet looking mod. Inspiring as always.
Case modding is always fun! It actually looks pretty slick
Hey Jay, I made a bit to my h500. Cut the way to 360 rad in front, made a lights for bottom and also what was not as easy a made a lighing for front I\o ports. for finish made some noise reduction by foam material through out the case. It apeared to be a pretty premium and very compact case )
Jay, I love your casemods videos
