I have believed for thirty years that I would love to own one of these boats. Your video has educated me. I expected so much more than is offered. Really small interior for a forty foot boat.

      Hell yeah it would be!
I really like all your videos man. You always feature a great, varied assortment of some really cool boats/yachts. Yours is probably the best boating theme channel on RUclips.
I like this one a lot and the price is definitely in my price range but the costs of mooring something 40 feet at any decent marina here in southern California is a serious expense I would need to think about for awhile. $1000 mo in San Diego and $2400 mo where I'm at currently. So yeah that's why I'm looking at something around 24' to 28' which can be $400 - $500 mo.
But dang dude your channel always makes me want something bigger like this awesome Legacy in today's video. I bet she's gonna be real sweet looking when she's fixed up.

@@LiberaceProtege Wow thanks for the high praise. I hope it takes off and I can do this full time. I have lots of ideas and plans for the future. San Diego sounds like paradise if it wasn't so pricey.

      @@HarborYachtTours
Paradise is a strong word. No place is paradise.
I've lived here in southern California all my life (with vacation homes in other states) and it's not expensive when you consider salaries are higher here, so it all compensates. Florida isn't cheap anymore. Oklahoma, Alabama and the south is much cheaper and wages are about lower, but does anyone really want to live there? No. Texas is cheaper but wages are a little lower than California and it isn't as desirable and the weather is not as good.
Most folks that moved to California recently that then have moved back to these other states did so because they couldn't make it work financially without a decent job, and they didn't have proper employment here. So they went somewhere cheaper where they could exist on lower, unskilled employment. They then go online and bash California as if California was the reason they don't have a strong work ethic or a skill set.
There are approximately 34 Million people that live here in California. More than ten percent of all the entire population of the Unite States of America live in California. Millions of houses and apartments all over the state. All of them full! Nice houses everywhere and none of them are vacant and abandoned. California is very much in demand. Folks are raising their kids and going to work every day and paying their bills and taking vacations and living life here just like normal people everywhere do.
34 million Americans go about their daily lives here, buy a house through FHA (3% down pmt), put their kids through school, buy cars, some buy small boats, buy groceries, pay their bills, lead normal lives and don't complain because life really is better here. As I say wages are higher here to compensate.
I lived in Hawaii too and it is famous for being expensive, and yes it really is super expensive. So what? Wages are much higher there to compensate. I made 50% more there than I did in California so I didn't mind the higher grocery costs.
In California housing is more expensive than less popular states but grocery costs are the same here as everywhere else. Gasoline is higher yes but that added tax pays for our higher quality roads and bridges. Our sales tax is lower than most places. Our property tax is about 1% per year if you buy a house. Yes there are affordable, less expensive houses around and in nice areas. I have one. For someone like yourself that is a small business owner (sole proprietor, no permanent employees) and you provide a highly specialized upscale service (boat detailing etc) to a highly specialized upscale customer base, doing business in San Diego California can be very lucrative if you are savvy, hard working and can market your business really well. I don't know of anyone like you offering five-star services around here currently.

These types of yachts are practical and seaworthy. In New England they are common not so much in Florida. Great boat to do the great loop etc. To bring her back to Bristol condition inside and out depends on your skill set and drive. But to redo her engine room professionally ( along with paint) as well as awl-gripping her exterior- 50k range- but then you would have a new boat

Man i could definitely see living abord this boat. This is a beautiful boat, but extremely practical. I'm not a big fan of the flashy ones. I prefer to tug trawler commercial liok myself. I will say i wasn't expecting that 2nd cabin\office with the ensuit. That's definitely a bonus.
