You had me at "owner operated...no crew on this one", which is the perfect statement, to own a ship like that. And what a serious one this is. WOW! Literally everything backed up and the solution with the other generator behind a second door to keep it quiet is just very clever and well designed. On other vidoes, we´ve seen two more cabins at the space, the whole machinery is sitting in. What a vessel! Thanks indeed to the owners (and Nordhavn), to share it with the channel and as always thanks to you Nick.
@@OrangeAgent5 It is expensive, too expensive for me, already. Giving it double hull and perhaps building it for ice categories would make it hugely more expensive.
Oooh, more Nordhavn. Thank you so much, Nick! Will be looking forward to watching this tonight. Your walkthroughs of Nordhavn boats are definitely the ones I keep coming back to most often. They are marvelous.
I have watched a LOT of yacht videos of many brands, and I feel that this is the finest boat I have ever seen on video. Bar none! The owner's informed decisions based on untold years of Nordhavn experience and boating experience have resulted in a finalized build that, to me, is flawless. Absolutely perfect in every possible way. I usually find myself thinking that I would do this or that differently when viewing boat layouts. There isn't a thing that I would change on this build. Amazing! Thank you owners and AQUAHOLIC for this wonderful share! Safe Journeys!
My wife and I enjoy all of your videos. Your attention to details, your understanding of natural people flow in a space dictating placement of controls, windows, etc. is always spot on, and your appreciation for exactness in the build execution and high quality materials being used is a very much welcomed aspect of your in-depth coverage of these boats. Beautifully Done! Very Much Appreciated given the time and effort that you are putting forth to offer these highly polished video presentations.
I've seen a few Nordhavn walk-throughs & it just never gets old. I know nothing about boats but this is my Lotto dream, a Nordhavn 60 to 75 foot and I'll put a webcam up the mast just to show off. By the way, I don't think Nick needed a brief on this boat as he has done quite a few Nordhavn, he knows them well. Thanks, Nick & the owner.
Lovely boat. Terrific interiors. There is a catch. The davit and tender is mounted on the bow. Once the tender is brought over the bow someone must descend a ladder to board and bring to the stern. It is a two person job at best and in weather it doesn’t look very safe. I have a Fleming 65 and the davit drops the tender off the starboard side. Single handing is a breeze. Again, a great boat.
I‘ve been looking forward to see a walkthrough on this one and only non-flybridge N68 in the world. As it was mentioned in a Nordhavn webinar, the owner even paid extra money to eliminate the flybridge to make the boat 100% suitable for his own use. To lower the profile definately helps a lot to improve the stability in heavy seas. After watching the walkthrough, now I even admire the owner more. There are numerous small changes throughout the boat which epitomize the owner's remarkable understanding of long-distance exploring yachts. He's not just a great voyager but also a magnificent yacht designer. Also, great thanks to Nick for spending the time and effort to show us all the fantastic details which reflect the perfection of this wonderful wonderful boat.
I would eliminate that wasted big saloon and choose the safety of both walk arounds and even yet more center of gravity. Why do you need a wide saloon for two? Not me.
A proper boat, and perfect for the Scottish West Coast. Back-up with back-up and truly independent...not as glossy as some, and that's a good thing! Live on this, and you are living the dream, every day, in any weather. The attention to detail, access to the systems, redundancy and pure quality...all shine through. If I could build a boat, this is the one I would build, but frankly, I'd just buy this!
As a retired engineer (not marine) I find the attention to detail in the design of this amazing vessel perfectly ‘workable’ for owner/operator sailing. This is a vessel for travelling with. Brilliantly detailed tour. Thank you for posting.
such a fantastic vessel! I do not have the same excitement for the 'normal' yachts that focus on entertaining. a go anywhere boat is absolutely a breath of fresh air.
Absolutely magnificent. Definitely need a “meet the owner” on this one. Serious thinking for serious exploring here. And a proper technical tour. Thank you. Brilliant 💫

Love the layout on this Nordhavn one of my favourites for the 68 so far. Really like the pilot house. Aesthetically nicer without the flybridge and more practical in my opinion.
It took 40 minutes, but you finally said “Classic Nordhavn”. Made the entire video for me. I do believe you are more excited in the engineering spaces than the public areas. There is more excitement in your explanation of all the equipment. Well done sir, a great tour of a classic Nordhavn little ship.
This was a really impressing video. Love how the way they have made it as a real ship with all safety and redundancy but still wonderful interior. Absolutely my favourite.
This is the nicest Nordhavn that I have seen. They put a lot of thought into this vessels expected mission, engineering and autonomous redundancy. The interior was nice and functional, avoiding the designer polished "super yacht" look. Well done.
These owners have drawn upon untold years of on-the-water boating experience to assemble a magnificent ship for their future enjoyment. Informed decision making is always quite obvious. It's a beautiful boat.
What a beautiful yacht you have. Everything is ultra modern. The engine room imprest me a lot. I worked in a canadian ship yard as a shipwright and seen engine rooms, and none were as impressive as this one. Again, beautiful small ship.
Honestly this is the best engineered yacht I've ever seen. On top of that the quality of living spaces really does make it a dream for owner/ operators. Nordhavn and the owner hit the mark with this boat. The only thing I would change is the engines to Cat but thats just personal preference. Fantastic tour. Thank you for showing this.
Engine choice is an option too. A few of these have Scanias, per owner request. Cats are nice, but their heat rejection isn't so good, hence why they haven't been too popular a choice for Nordhavns.
I think i'd keep those engines. If you look across the whole range of Nordhavn boats, they use so many different engines. I am sure they have got where they are by knowing what is the best fit for whatever particular boat. Just my opinion, yours is also a good one :)
@@howardwilson3821 these luggers are so incredibly durable and the fuel polishing system is so sophisticated that you don’t need the redundancy of another 400 hp engine. Doubling the horse power on a displacement hull won’t really add performance either.
When an ocean going tugboat mates with a super yacht they produce a Nordhavn. And this is a fine example of that pairing. Thanks Nick, for the tour and thanks to Nordhavn for making such fine boats.
Woke up at 4 am (US time) to have a wee, saw the notification for the video and just had to see if this is indeed a “classic Nordhavn” video and a “proper little ship”! So here I am watching the video , that’s how much we love you Nick!

What an amazing tour...as a Kadey Krogen enthusiast I can say that there are so many similarities between the two manufacturers...and I know how much both manufacturers respect each other. I still can't be moved from the Kadey Krogen 52....in terms of homeliness and beauty. They are the go to manufacturers for anyone interested in live aboard exploration. As you say Nick this boat is the expression of the owner...no flybridge...and the interior reflects the owner's taste. For me a flybridge is an absolute priority...the tender sitting on the owner's cabin was also odd I thought...but wow...what a fantastic yacht. This owner is a lucky couple indeed!! The engine room looks like something from the ISS. Every buyer of these yachts gets the boat they want....we can only salute their good fortune and wish them many years happy cruising. Superb vessel.
And voilà like the Finnish would say! What an amazing little ship! Now this is a dream boat! Thank you for this extensive tour that enlightened once more Nordhavn craftsmanship and thoroughness! @34:57 that little circular object with a blue led ring in the middle looks like a Unifi wifi access point. I guess they are serious about getting wifi to the entire ship! Beautiful ship and video Nick! Thank you for the great walkthrough. I hope the new owners love it ❣
What an incredible little ship. She is stunning. Such a great layout allowing easy traversal of the ship. Only having one side deck certainly does increase the room you have inside. The wheel house is amazing and a great place for all to sit and chat with the operator. The amount of planning between the owner and Nordhavn is staggering. Accommodating every specification like they have. That gives the feeling more so its your ship, rather than just buying one already done. I would be more than happy to pay out the money to own her. The engine room is a feat of engineering. To have everything get at able and the amount of backups just incredible . Nick this has been an absolute pleasure to accompany you on this tour. Thank you so much for showing us around
This tour made my day! I love engine rooms and you did the most detailed visit of this one....thank you. I bet the owners of this would be worthy of a whole video (or video series), they built this knowing what they wanted.
Oh yes, I have been waiting for you to post this. You were the person that first introduced me to Nordhavn and I have been smitten ever since. This is absolutely stunning example of this iconic brand. My absolute first purchase when my numbers come up is a Nordhavn, no hesitation. Thank you so much for this awesome video. My weekend is complete 👍😎
Stunning, abso-bloody-lutely stunning. The lucky new owner certainly knows what he wants and Nordhavn have certainly met his/her requirements, and some. cannot, unusually, think of anything that I would change. Congratulations to Nordhavn for building and supplying a fabulous, fit for purpose vessel and thanks to you Nick, as ever, for a very informative and professional tour. 👍👍👍.
understated beauty, lovely to see a well thought vessel without all the usual glitz and glamour that gives no benefit other than bragging rights. lovely.....
What an amazing tour, on an incredible yacht! I have watched this twice just to make sure I saw ever little detail. Very detailed tour as well, I very much like it thanks Nick. Lovely ship!
Great review Nick… today I will use the word “thorough” 🤯🤯 for this review. This should be used in space it’s that advanced/amazing. My brain hurts trying to take it all in. What a wonderful little big ship to cruise Scotland, Baltic or the world. Thank you new owners for sharing this. Will keep an eye out next time we are up there. 😎✌🏻
Fantastic yacht, fantastic craftmanship, fantastic vibe and a fantastic tour. You make it soooo easy to just see yourself and family sail on adventures for months or years. Don't ever stop Nick 😃
Wow. As an engineer that was a great tour and exactly the sort of boat I would want to own. It's so good to see all the choices the owner has made thanks to their experience, every decision makes so much sense.
I see an Aquaholic Nordhavn video, and everything stops, because it must be watched. You can have your fancy Med cruisers, lovely as they are, this r8ght here is the dream. I'd love to make a few changes to the finishes myself, but I'd gladly take her just as she is. Wonderful, wonderful machine. Thank you for this Nick.
I’d love to see a ‘meet the owners’ vid for this boat. I’m from Scotland and I absolutely love the rugged coastline but appreciate how challenging (scary) boating is up here. So I’d be intrigued to learn why you would choose to keep a boat in such a challenging area (when presumably they could buy a more luxurious boat for half the price in more sunny climes - (maybe they also have a Med boat e ;-) - the owners sound like mad enthusiasts - or maybe just mad)!
Great looking and a very capable looking boat, Nick - if this is heading up my way then those screens are midge screens - much smaller than Mosquito's but a lot more ornery - a great idea - especially at anchor in a sea loch.
You have no idea how much this relaxes me. My mini ship will probably be much smaller than this but I absolutly love these videos. Keep up the good work and the kind voice.
No fly bridge brings the lines of this little ship to the fore, the large problem to the eyes of most Nordhavn s is they look top heavy , this craft just made it look right with the benifit of being more stable & less windage . Nick I hope one day you sit down for an interview with the owner , that would be a very interesting blog, Good inspection / Tour Sir ! thank you.
Of all things, that tiller attachment really speaks to what these ships are all about. Everything is double or triple redundant, allowing you to go the most isolated places on Earth.
Did I hear right .. was there only 1 time Nick said "Classic Nordhaven"? .. Your slipping Nick ..lol this is my favorite Yacht from the Nordhaven yard. Beautiful Yacht . Thanks Nick .
The layout is one of the best I have ever seen. So cozy. You dont feel boxed in. I think its safe to say that Nordhavn Yachts are the best when it comes to long range and harsh weather operation. Even for living in them! Love it!
Very lovely boat. I would love to see a configuration that is wheelchair-accessible, from boarding, to getting around, to going up and down the different levels, to an accessible washroom, shower, and bedroom. Is there a boat like that?
Fantastic, simply fantastic. How you can access everything easily, control and monitor so much in so many places, all the space and a lot of stuff they fit into this boat. I felt at home the first time I saw this (though I'll probably never get the money to call it home).
Absolutely love Nordhavn. The cost is in redundancy, not silly things that you don't need like steam showers and swimming pools. Nordhavn is what I dream about while I'm counting my pennies...
First of all, what an incredible piece of kit this “ship” is . When one considers all the equipment, systems etc the cost seems very reasonable. Thanks for a great tour 👏👍😀
Being able to see everywhere, all the little spaces and hidden areas is amazing. The techie side as well as the living side is always really interesting to me! Beautiful little ship, amazing technical boat and I assume the coast guard is still after you? Right after the camera cut out, you cut out with the boat? Or is that a separate video? Perfect tour thank you, I do appreciate the mechanical side as well!
Thanks for a very extensive tour Nick , A little dissapointed not to hear "getatable" but I suppose multiple "littleships" make up for it, thanks again for a very envy inducing tour.😉
40 minutes of Nordhavn bliss - you're getting closer to James Knight territory now :D Wonderful. Please keep them coming. I cross my fingers the owners of this beauty will agree for a "meet the owner" video. I assume this is 6839 that has arrived in the UK 10 month ago - is it normal to take so long for the commissioning? Or was the video shot a while ago already? (Also you should get a contract from Nordhavn, as your videos are *much* better than theirs… 🤫)
Timestamp at 34 mins would confirm it's #6839 but Nick could have filmed it quite some time ago and held back releasing until it was handed over and accepted by the owners.
What an incredibly sophisticated little yacht! The price tag reflects the sophistication, yet it still impresses with all the redundant systems and fail safes. I still have a difficult time with crossing the Atlantic on a 68 foot motor yacht but I'm sure she is completely up to the task. Thank you for posting this very informative and interesting video. When I make my first 5 million, I will have one custom built much like the owners of this one.
I don't own a yacht. I will likely never own a yacht, and yet I cannot stop watching these videos. I love the thoroughness of all of your tours.

It's a pleasure 🙂
The ability to swap engines without cutting the hull is... it's ridiculous, how easy this company makes maintenance & troubleshooting for operators.
Wow! I don’t recall having seen John Deere engines on a boat. Thank you for another great tour!
This tour made my day!
I love engine rooms and you did the most detailed visit of this one....thank you.
I bet the owners of this would be worthy of a whole video (or video series), they built this knowing what they wanted.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love Nordhaven boats! I'm excited to see the 148 when it debuts.
Hope you enjoy it!
Absolutely amazing, beautiful boat, and lovely to see how the other half live.
You're very welcome! 🙂
The DETAILS make this boat and this video! THANKS for bringing her to us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
40 minutes of Nordhavn and Burnham = happy viewing! Saving this for later tonight 😁
Enjoy! 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC I certainly did! Couldn’t wait till later, so found a quiet spot to tuck myself away with a good tour 😆
@@nicbennett6554 Awesome! 😃
Have you discovered the Yacht Tech channel too?
understated beauty, lovely to see a well thought vessel without all the usual glitz and glamour that gives no benefit other than bragging rights. lovely.....
What an amazing tour, on an incredible yacht! I have watched this twice just to make sure I saw ever little detail. Very detailed tour as well, I very much like it thanks Nick. Lovely ship!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE the Nordhavns. Had to watch this one twice

Love that open, large roof area that replaced the fly bridge.
Looks very practical for maintenance. Just don't fall off.
Fantastic yacht, fantastic craftmanship, fantastic vibe and a fantastic tour. You make it soooo easy to just see yourself and family sail on adventures for months or years. Don't ever stop Nick 😃
Thank you very much!
That behind panel wiring is a work of art and should be on show 😀
Absolutely stunning ship, the engineering and workmanship looks to be top notch.
I love this ship, the wide main salon, the cedar, so much, including how solid everything sounded as you opened and closed doors and hatches.
Cant be any better guiding, absolutt 100% fantastic.
Thank you! 🙂
The attention to detail and the redundancy of systems is truly amazing. It makes my Princess look like a toy boat.
No fly bridge brings the lines of this little ship to the fore, the large problem to the eyes of most Nordhavn s is they look top heavy , this craft just made it look right with the benifit of being more stable & less windage . Nick I hope one day you sit down for an interview with the owner , that would be a very interesting blog, Good inspection / Tour Sir ! thank you.
Classic Nordhavn
Thanks for the tour, Nick. Norhavn is my favorite builder and this is my favorite little ship of all time.
The owner certainly knows how to spec a boat for serious use. What a fantastic machine.

Wow, that entire upper deck area is amazing
Of all things, that tiller attachment really speaks to what these ships are all about. Everything is double or triple redundant, allowing you to go the most isolated places on Earth.
Did I hear right .. was there only 1 time Nick said "Classic Nordhaven"? .. Your slipping Nick ..lol this is my favorite Yacht from the Nordhaven yard. Beautiful Yacht . Thanks Nick .
the redundancy and engineering level of this boat makes it the U.S.S. Enterprise of yachts. good lord this machine is built for peace of mind.
Definitely one of the best video I have seen done this guy is great and really knows what he is doing
The layout is one of the best I have ever seen. So cozy. You dont feel boxed in. I think its safe to say that Nordhavn Yachts are the best when it comes to long range and harsh weather operation. Even for living in them! Love it!
absolutely a great layout. Only thing I would change is bunk beds in cabin 3. That full size bed just fills the room.
breathtaking quality and workmanship
Very lovely boat. I would love to see a configuration that is wheelchair-accessible, from boarding, to getting around, to going up and down the different levels, to an accessible washroom, shower, and bedroom. Is there a boat like that?
Some have an internal lift between decks, spec them as you want really. 👍🇬🇧
Same owner as former N63 Due North
A really exciting boat, congrats to the owner and PAE
The engineering is truly incredible. the detail is something else , built to last , built to be unstoppable, what a boat!
Wow! Superior craftsmanship, and smart design!
Beautiful yacht. I'm still not a fan of all the wood. I would still love to spend a week on her. Thank you Nick.
My pleasure!
Nordhavens are serious boats, I follow a cpl from Seattle who own one. Another great vid thanks Nick.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
is this owner actually going across atlantic or down to med?
James knight would be 2 hours on this boat.
