The fact she probably never even expected to win the national final gives her the relaxed freedom to not be concerned about qualifying. The work will speak for itself. When we look back on ESC 2022 what will we remember? This song.
yep its definitely one of those songs that you remember a Eurovision year by. I usually recalls years by the winner and 2-3 special songs from that year
Absolutely brilliant. Great artist and performer with powerful messages in the song and her performance. Very different, unusual and catchy. Konstrakta to the top. 👏👍❤ Greetings from down under 😉
I've watched Eurovision for a decade and a half, but this is the first year I've gotten really invested as a "Eurofan". I really enjoy your videos: interesting insights, but presented in an accessible way to a newer fan. Thank You!
I connected with this performance much more than the National Final one Tom, her personality really came through for me. Not amongst my favourites, but I find her really engaging 😉
Yes I agree with you Tom. This is growing on me. The clapping is hypnotic and very good for audience participation. They are being clever showing the lyrics at the back. I think this stands out in a great way. I hope this qualifies. I think it will . Keep up the great reactions from Shanghai - its a difficult time for you there. I think the ESC love can help you keep going until you are through this Covid wave
I don't get the hate for this live performance from some people. The lyrics on the back screen will help first time viewers on the real night. And the towel thing in the middle with the soap is quite fun. The fact that people were clapping and whistling already shows this will probably do well. Reminds me of Soldi's reception.
oh yea, im surprised some people didnt like. I think its a very solid concept. Obviously when he has a much nicer font for the lyrics and a more slick way of presenting them, itll look even better. plus having the other 5 makes a big difference as well for the Latin parts. But i liked her stage presence and the general concept of where she moved and the towels and the soap. brilliant
@@ESCTom check her latest video that she made for preeurovision party. she is getting dressed in her white medical outfit at the stage, probably as a sign that she will keep her national final staging for Turin, as she mentioned in her interview. she will not have full subtitles as it is not allowed but probably she will have some text as a part of staging. hopefully
She absolutely has to keep in the "I have a soap" line in Turin. So much personality in this performance which will win points in itself. Can we get the fans attending to bring towels with them and swirl them around their heads in unison too !!! 😉
One of them songs I can't listen to without seeing her she makes it work the English lyrics was definitely needed i showed this to my family and they had absolutely no clue what was going on until they knew the lyrics
Of course, she won't be alone on the ESC stage, she will have her backing vocals. She brought them with her when she was in Croatia, HRT appearance ruclips.net/video/3z85iBw2BIM/видео.html They had a different choreography, only one was standing behind her and the rest were sitting on her left and right washing hands in sync with her
You’re right Tom. This was just an experimental dip-your-toe kinda thing just to test the international audience’s reaction. The semi performance will be very similar to the nf one with 6 of them on stage and the backdrop with English subs at key stages of the song.
Agreed, And I think that is exactly what to do and is the biggest advantage of doing the pre parties. What i love to see is when you see entries trying out new things in each pre party to see what works. Its very sensible. Also good point about the subtitles, they dont need it for the whole song, just enough to get the message across 👏🏻
Unfortunately Konstrakta said in Eurosong it will be no allowed to put subtitles on the back but she will try to find the way to bring meaning to first time listeners.
@@ESCTom Subtitles aren’t allowed (on the telly itself), but of course she’s going to use them on the backdrop. That has nothing to do with the subtitling the actual performance. So woo-hoo!
Well now aren't we suddenly glad about the ex Yu block voting uh? 🤔 😅 Considering it's been trending all over Eastern Europe it should go through. Who's voting in her semi? Anyway it's an awesome staging, even half done
lol yep. I hope that she wont need it, but its nice to know that she has a Balkan parachute 🪂 youre totally right about the trending - Besides my Little Big video, this is my most viewed video in my channel ever, which I never would have guessed in a million years before filming it
In a podcast she mentioned that Eurovision won't allow her to run complete subtitles (for technical reasons) so instead she can just display some phrases. She also said that she is not allowed to use the Red Cross symbol (because it is proprietary) so I'm curious how she will portray this at the performance. There seem to be many constraints for the actual Eurovision performance which means that creativity will play a crucial role. The Podcast where she talks about this is Agelast and can be found here: ruclips.net/video/Yi6X70lkPrU/видео.html&ab_channel=Agelast (unfortunately, no subtitles)
ok that looks fine. it looks a little unusual, but if they wont let her use subtitles, then theres no other choice. I really hope that it doesnt affect her

yea i get what youre saying but a technically difficult song is a double edged sword as if you fluff the vocals, you can be completely fecked. also jury will award the artistry of this i think
@@dalmatinoboy First of all, the notes that the singer of Nocturne reached were extremely high, and there was a melody which she followed impeccably. She was on the notes. Secondly, exactly because Nocturne only had 24 words in total, EBU decided that it was unfair for all other entries, and since then they introduced a new rule according to which there is a minimum number of words, saying that Eurovision is a SONG contest, not just a music one. One of the criteria of the professional juries is the technical skill, the singing ability, the depth and width of one's voice. In corpore sano will be burried cause it has nothing.
@@ESCTom Tom, do you really believe that singers like Sheldon, Cornelia, Sam, Amanda, Achille, Andromache, Mahmood or singers like the singers of Azerbaijan, of Montenegro, of Albania, of Switzerland, of Estonia, of Belgium etc are NOT able to sing correctly? And that Konstrakta will be better than them? So, everyone should write simple texts for recitation, without rhythm, without melody, without vocal demands - exactly like In corpore sano - in order to be better than all other singers and win points. As for the artistry - if I understand well what you mean by "artistry" -, there were some really artistic songs this year in the national finals like Secreto de Agua, All in, Jezinky, Not your mother that were unsuccessful with both the juries AND the televoters.
