He spoke back to me and we decided we weren’t going to kill each other. We helped each other find a well and on the road out of the first town one of us asked who our favorite dayz youtuber is. Our friendship blossomed upon finding out we both shared crazy love for your channel. We’ve been on crazy ass adventures since, made insane memories. Extra tip I found! If you get some rags to make rope and find burlap sack you can make a backpack! 3 Short sticks will upgrade! I also have trouble finding back packs sometimes and I found burlap and sticks before a bag so I made one :)
16:09 There was a Drinking Well about 200-400 feet straight forward from where you was at. Its a major important stop before going to the next town because there's not other one for awhile.
I'm doing my best during these guides to not use to much of my MAP KNOWLEDGE when showing the guides, because new players wont have that :) This isn't as much a loot run as it is a philosophy of the game type of video.

DayZ noob here (maybe 3 hours in the game) watched your videos for probably 3 weeks before deciding to give it a go, but now that I’ve started playing I’m using PVE community servers to learn the game is there anything else I can do to learn my basics (just learned how to reload mags) lol still trying to speed that process up but I’m on PS5 with a controller so it’s a little different.
Perfect way to learn the game, that's how I started. Now I've got like 6k hours and eat people. Oh and on Xbox I was able to use a keyboard and mouse, hopefully PS5 is the same, it makes it a lot easier to play, and makes transitioning to PC later on a lot easier too ^^
Personally, I learned in official PVP servers. I feel like they way better prepare you for the road ahead. Dying while you're trying to figure out new mechanics prepares you for when you're a day into a life and lose it all to a sniper.

Probably close to 50-60 hours in now.. Cams videos have helped me a ton, even talked my way out of getting murdered in a military tent this morning.. Hi Cam, love your videos! Currently on a great playthrough just because of you! I think I watched almost all guide videos, but one thing I would love to see is your decision making process when managing inventory. As a new player, we tend to pick up everything and especially for ammo, we are not sure what to keep and what to drop. What I started to do is to bury chests in random places for all items I currently don't need, until I can make a base. Anyway time to go cook a ton of meat I found on a deer :). Those food stands are a fantastic location to find .357 ammo and I have found multiple Derringers in them. Not the best weapon, but they will absolutely drop a mofo if you can get a good hit.
I just bought dayz yesterday and I've died about four times 2 from starving 1 from zombies and 1 from a player The game is a challenge for a new player but im really enjoying it
I'm getting a computer soon and can't wait to play this game thanks for this guide. Couple things I was wondering is how often does loot respawn? When you put that guy's gear in the tree how long will it sit there before despawn? What is zombie spawn rate? How long will their corpse be on ground before despawn?

What are like... All essential items I'm going to need to always keep finding? Like bandages... Medicine... Sticks and wood for fires. Like what are the things that as long as I always have. I'll just survive. Other medications too. Like what are things that besides the players. What are things I need to always find every run and keep on my player at all times. i dont kill often cause im actually shit at the game, needless to say ive just killed my 5th or 6th guy (in a firefight) in 50 hours, stalked him for 10 minutes before i could get a clean shot on him, maybe in another life we couldve been friends, but i needed the food he luckily was carrying around, this game just gives a different feel to killing, no points, no killstreaks, just..... death
Asoon as you said we dont actually need a knife just a sharp object that saved my life i was able to cut my chicken and make a fire i had a hacksaw kn me the whole time running around for half hour finding a knife
I eat mostly fruit brother look for orchards in towns. It does take 15 mins or so to start spawning if your first to town but as a freshie I'm always chowing fruit lol
I played DayZ 2 years ago and just couldn’t understand a thing. Put the game down. One day I came across one of Cams videos and just happened to click play. This was about a month ago. With Cams guidance, I’ve fallen in LOVE with this game. I’ve died maybe 8-9 times of course. But I’ve had some wonderful interactions. Currently got a plate carrier, DMR, Mosin, tons of meds and food, and am living it up! (We’ll see how long that lasts lol) Met a ton of cool people through random interactions, got tortured by a pumpkin farmer, etc. so fun. Thanks Cam!
I can't even join a server? Validated files, uninstalled and reinstalled. Updated graphics drivers. Updated windows. I can't join ANY server with or without mods, official or community. Battle eye is checked.... I need a beginner guide on how to open the game. 😭
