Any server advice for a new grrrrl...? probably EU as EU servers are my closest for PUBG, so thinking my ping will be awful to NA servers.

I'm relatively new to the game, in one of my latest sessions I spawned next to a guy and we immediately started chatting. We then found another guy who didn't have a mic but we adopted him anyways. Then we found another 3 guys. We were cruising around as a 6 man for a while before we lost 3 of them. The three of us left, had an awesome adventure, killed some bandits, got some decent loot. We lost the third after the session but two of us have remained friends and frequently meet on the same server 😊

From an experienced DayZ player: I can confirm that this video is not scripted (crazy that you had to say this in your video!) 😂 Once you put in the work, playing hours for hours and especially doing research on all the things the game doesn't tell you, surviving (PVE) in DayZ is sooo easy. PVP is the challenging part. But the game will reward you with great adventures including a good atmosphere, beautiful landscapes, crazy adrenaline rushes and maybe meeting a new lifetime-friend right around the corner. And don't forget, never love your loot 😊

great guide, i'm somewhat of DayZ master with almost 3,000 hours and i like to watch beginner guides just to judge the guides people are making :D this has to be most entertaining raw cut guide i've seen so far and even learned that blocking + walking recovers stamina faster!
Always like to find new ''small'' channels making great content in my feed, keep it up and one day you can script the videos!
There was some things i would have added but then i remembered it's a beginners guide and not intermediate guide for experienced players, waiting for that one!
i was impressed you actually included that right click animation canceling that many guides doesn't include, which works aswell on animation like finishing cutting down trees which is useful to speed up the wood cutting process while building a base, or burying stuff in the ground etc.

1:12 - that motorcycle helmet you passed up as a fresh spawn... don't do that.... ESPECIALLY since they changed the tier 1 zombie mechanics, and wolf range/aggression. Just don't do that. Always equip the first motorcycle helmet you find. If it has a tinted visor, swap it out with the first clear mask you find.
Also, the green variant is great headgear, all the way through late game. It's a great solid olive color, which blends well with most backgrounds, has the 2nd highest projectile armor, and the best melee head armor.

Tip for stealth killing Zs: trainers are the quietest type of shoe (besides foot wraps). If you wear them so long as you are not walking on concrete Zs arent likely to hear you. I generally dont wear boots because i find stealthing to be the easiest way to deal with Zs. as long as you stay behind them they are not likely to notice you.
Tip for rotten fruit/ Unknown cans: If you watch the bottom right of your screen you can eat rotten fruit or unknown cans until the stomach icon indicating youre full appears, stop eating when it shows then wait a while until it disappears. When it does you can continue eating. You will not get sick if you do this

This was such an amazing video to experience and as someone who just started playing DayZ its cool to learn the more niche thoughts behind experience. i would say that the only thing not mentioned that could really help a beginner is how to start a fire without matches (combining bark and a short stick i believe) how to make a fishing rod(a knife and bones for a hook, two stacks of 6 rags for rope or guts, and a long stick if you truly NEED to make it from absolute scratch even though all items can be found) and if youre desperate, no gun and cant find chickens, you can make a knife using two small stones or a small stone on a boulder. Amazing video though!

Amazing, so informative. I have been watching people play DayZ for years on RUclips but have never played myself lol. Playing is very different from watching and I had zero clue how to even craft until I watched this video. The fact this was all one edit and you just did thius on the fly is amazing as well!

Just started playing and this is gonna be a big help watching this. Out of all the videos ive watched for beginners this one was by far the best. You touched on everything that you really need to know but other video dont tell you. A big one was getting your sense of direction. I wish I would've watched this before I just died for multiple hours but at least now i wont have such s hard time😂.

These are some great tips! I've got 1600 hours and what I like to do is be as resourceful as possible. Take everything I find. If I change shirts I keep my old one to tear into rags that I may need. I only get rid of things if I no longer need them, find something better, OR find what I've been gathering supplies to craft.

oi mate! your video has really helped me and I think it covers the main basics or fundamentals for survival - most videos or rather the uploaders of videos have mostly stated that one should avoid zombies - with the usage of izurvive map and picking my fights with zombies carefully I was almost able to make it in-land, survived a night by a campfire and I actually have managed to stay hydrated (that pump thing is burned into my mind) and fed, not even getting sick, using my common sense for the rest - that campfire I made at a forrest during a night to stay warm, after that I have went prone further from the flames and from the light being emitted, in case someone discovers it and thus I would have been able to see them, then I have moved towards a set of hunting cabins just in time to see the wind pick up and thinking, just like in real life "oh it is about to start raining" and hid inside the cabins just in time - survived for 3 hours with decent loot and without even meeting anyone, killing only 25 zombies with a melee weapon - so thank you for finally a proper fundamental start of my absolute, absolute noob DayZ adventure!

For a stealth kill, you must slow crouch walk up to the Z from behind. Also, I always keep a stash of bullets that I don't need on me to deal with infected. .22 are great because you can keep a ton of them in one slot. If there are a lot of Zs in my path I'll simply throw one as a distraction.

You can attack Zombies from inside a house - via the windows. Use a weapon like a hoe and smack ‘em. Also if you can’t find matches to light a fire I think you can combine tree bark and small stick to ignite fires. I’ve not tried it yet. This video is great stuff. Thank you :)

Thank you for making this video. I am not a novice to DayZ, but still have room for improvement.
I do want to say, though: if you punch with your bare hands that much, you risk cutting them and contracting an infection. At the very least, you should bind them or find a stick to smack with.

Another advice is if you can’t find food, find a player and eat him you’ll be set for a while. Also don’t eat food with gloves on as it increases chances of infection. Last but not least don’t forget you can use dirty rags to heal yourself :)

We got run over by zombies and wolves in the military base knocked me out twice we ended up using all of our ammo to somehow survive then I got corned in a building and blocked in by 4 zombies and died 😂
Edit: we also didn’t find shit in the military base just parts and ammo for guns we didn’t even have….
