Why does it look like he is complaining about almost every feature in the interior and external feature of the car? Plus, why the constant comparison with other cars in every design feature? I feel that Chery has done a good job within the given budget.
The vehicle itself looks pretty good really especially at this price point, but overcoming the brand name Chery and considering making a purchase would be difficult. Also, your comments on ride and handling weren't too positive either.
Does it comes with roof rails for 'cosmetic display only do no use' could be the matter of ADR investigation? Don't understand the warranty is 7 years instead of 3 years since 8 years ago.
Interesting to compare your as tested fuel efficiency vs the review of this car by the carsguide team. Their as tested fuel efficiency was 12.3L/ 100km based on their driving.

Reviews on this channel used to be lot more fun to watch. This reviewer's snippy comments and observations seems like you went into this not liking the car/not wanting to do it and having a bit of brand snobbery going on. The little moment about the wireless charging pad was the end for me.
Usually its the "look" comparisons for me. This time it was the rear view complaint. I drive buses and trucks and i actually turn the rearview down in my car due to tailgaters and headlights.
Tbh it looks the part, but that's what scares me, it might look "premium", and have a low price, but stands to reason they've cut corners, and I wouldn't want to bet my life on it.
If you remove the front plastic cover, you will find a huge aluminum bumper, which is very expensive to produce. Moreover, the body frame is made of 78% high-strength steel. In order to ensure safety and reliability, Chery likes to use the best parts where you can't see them. As for why the price is so affordable, it is because Omoda 5 is a global model with a huge output. The labor cost in China is very cheap and the work experience is rich. China has the most advanced automated factories and the production efficiency is very high.
