For templar the stat priority is Crit and then mastery. To an extent you want all the crit you can get up until close to 30%, it makes a huge difference
@@thundergodd6086 since they buffed templar , Until wednesday mastery was above anything else, but once it become possible for hammer of light to crit between 7000 000 to 9000 000 and the smaller hammers crit 1500000+ when combined with judgement and reckoning, crit come on top ***if you are using templar, nothing changed for herald*, I am not the only one stating, even in this page if you scroll down you have others saying the same. ps even simc and similars are now putting crit above once you pass a certain threshold. In fact crit has become so important that some are even using AW to get the extra crit change because they had no crit gear (tho this last is to a point debatable )
I would personally Divine Toll after Blade as an opener then pop pot and trinket into Exec sentence then ashes. By the time you final verdict you get a toll proc and refresh blade for another final verdict as the beginning of rotation after opener.
It is very straight forward. Most specs are pretty easy to play in wow except some outliers like havoc dh (mover build in m+ /vomit). I would argue that it’s easy because it’s a really well designed spec, one of the best in the game. Allows you to focus on more important things like mechanics and saving your team mates with your insane utility that’s only getting better in 11.0.5
@shinryukenYT absolutely agree here... I have been maining DH since Legion and have made it work for me every expansions, especially when I didn't like "meta" build for the class. But with TWW, I am just not liking any of the options at the moment. The fact that I have to complete 50 different tasks or movements, before actually doing dmg... nah!!! my mate kept destroying us in the DPS meters. And I am constantly 200k behind on dps. So I asked him to show me the way of the Light... and man I am not looking back. Ret is so much fun to play right now. Feels like how DH use to be. Fun fun and oh yes FUN!!!!
When you talk through your rotation, why do you state final reckoning after wake of ashes when you don’t even have final reckoning as part of your talent build? You have execution sentence instead.
Yes I linked the build with execution sentence accidentally and I am away for work so I can’t login to change it but you can take either or. The overall damage difference at the end of the dungeon is splitting hairs. Execution sentence just has a bit better priority damage obviously
Final reck and exe sentence play exactly the same though. You use them on cool down before wake of ashes. They both are damage amplifiers which don't require holy power or don't generate it, so you use them at the same point in the "rotation"
They changed Hammer of Light to work as a single target ability. So FR buffs HOL by 30% on the main target instead of 15%. It makes FR a bit more competitive and they are closer to each other now however, execution sentence is still a tad more damage overall on paper. Honestly? Just play what you enjoy!

I think the comfy diff from herald makes up for the dmg diff to a point where one can perform better with herald. I agree, as well, I do more dmg with herald.
@@kenjeguides3675 Ita actually not this time round for M+. Since the Mastery changes/buffs, Mastery now scales really well for Ret and Crit is even better for Templar. So you want Mastery/Crit on as much gear as you can get for Templar!

Also the opener roation is quite poor, not bad for a quick burst, but your clean rotation will fall off quick and you gonna lack holy power generation.

@@thundergodd6086 Technically Crit is the highest prio but its really getting it up to around 25-30 and then you stack mastery
This stat prio is also ONLY for Mplus. Raid Templar is STR>MAST>HASTE.

Chsnge your macro to use your tinket before you wake of ashes. You want the wake to be included in your trinkets burst window.

@@Ecliptor. Exactly this. One is for prio targets and the other is trash pulls. Depends on your party comp. Pugs should be taking Exec sentence imo.
If you macro in a trinket to wake / how do you get the icon to show your hammer of light when it’s ready? Mine just stays wake icon

how did this hold up after 10/28?

I'm hard locked at 615 for 2 weeks now and Herald is consistently doing 200k to 300k more, even after the buffs.
I think the comfy diff from herald makes up for the dmg diff to a point where one can perform better with herald. I agree, as well, I do more dmg with herald.
