I want to be alone for a while I want Earth to breathe to me I want the waves to grow loud I want the sun to bleed down To bleed down [Pre-Chorus] See the waves go down See the moon alone I raise my head and whisper [Chorus] Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine [Verse 2] I want to see the wounded moon I want the sea to break through I want it all to be gone tomorrow So I've come to say goodbye [Pre-Chorus] To say goodbye See the waves go down See the moon alone I raise my head and whisper [Chorus] Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine, my sister Rise and shine (rise and shine) Rise and shine [Outro] Rise and shine Rise and shine Rise and shine
i was thinking the same... it supposed the version on this 7'' single is the first one... (the one on emeralde album) this sounds like the new version re released.
this version > second version > emmerdale/original version, which is strange since this... is the emmerdale version, but sounds so much different. the issues i did have with the original version (not liking nina's vocals tbh, and the instrumentation not having as much "punch" as the second version) are just mostly gone due to it being played on a record player, i guess?
This version and the "2nd version" are the same underlying recordings - just at a different tempo and pitch! My 7" single is the same tempo and pitch as this video, which is about 2% faster and about a quarter-step higher in pitch than the "2nd version" video. The 7" version fades out before the final drum lick included in the "2nd version". There may be a slight difference in sound due to vinyl mastering and the fact this video is a vinyl rip, but the underlying waveforms are the same
This song is an absolute masterpiece
I want to be alone for a while
I want Earth to breathe to me
I want the waves to grow loud
I want the sun to bleed down
To bleed down
[Pre-Chorus]
See the waves go down
See the moon alone
I raise my head and whisper
[Chorus]
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine
[Verse 2]
I want to see the wounded moon
I want the sea to break through
I want it all to be gone tomorrow
So I've come to say goodbye
[Pre-Chorus]
To say goodbye
See the waves go down
See the moon alone
I raise my head and whisper
[Chorus]
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine, my sister
Rise and shine (rise and shine)
Rise and shine
[Outro]
Rise and shine
Rise and shine
Rise and shine
Rise and Shine is a really good song.

This is the ending I like for this song
