Amazing how a song can transport you in time and space. I'm on highway driving with Mt Fuji out the driver's side window, blasting this song. First time living over seas, in a place I'd always dreamed of going to, living the life. Good times.
I went in January. Got there at night and couldn't see anything. Opened the curtains at 6am and it was there in all its glory. Played the smiths "let me get what I want". Wanted to see Fuji since I was about 5. It didn't disappoint. Hope you enjoyed it as much as me
@@WallieTheRed When I first arrived, it was a humid day in September. My buddy lived in a small town called Iwanami, between Numazu and Gotemba. Funny you bring that up, thought i saw it mentioned on reddit yesterday on movies that havent aged well.. apparently was about loads of people perving on younger girls.. and a teacher perving on a student, who was actually older (but he didnt know).. and everyone somehow thought it was romantic?
Those days when MTV was the best. Remember that I used to leave school quickly to arrive home and spend some hours watching great videos. Man, the 90s rocked!
This song was ubiquitous with the late 90's/early 2000's...I was just a child, so many memories. The nostalgia slap is strong. I wasn't here, then in a second I came into this world, and soon I'll go back to nothing. The sad reality of life. Might as well enjoy these things.
"They weren't given much respect at the time"? Well they got coverage and their songs got quite heavy airplay on radio back in the day for an indie band. Tons of other bands didn't.
True, but this was their 1998 album, and it definitely got criticism after First Band on the Moon. People thought it was too downtempo and trip-hop-y compared to the indie pop they were known for.
The sound, the looks, the style, the amazing minimalistic video. The Cardigans were or are Top Tier music and a Top Tier band. Sounds light years better than music now

@@SarahSmoothieface I’ll check them out Ty hun
in 2024 as well
this song takes me to different worlds, places i have never seen if not within my mind's eye, suspended between past and future.
Those days when MTV was the best. Remember that I used to leave school quickly to arrive home and spend some hours watching great videos. Man, the 90s rocked!
first time I hear this again in over 20 years and I completely forgot this sick bassline, pure gold
Agreed. Totally dismissed them back in the 90's. This song would shatter the top 40 if it was released today.
This song was ubiquitous with the late 90's/early 2000's...I was just a child, so many memories. The nostalgia slap is strong.
I wasn't here, then in a second I came into this world, and soon I'll go back to nothing.
The sad reality of life. Might as well enjoy these things.
True
Well at least your comment will remain... so shall mine 🤪
I was in middle school so nostalgic miss the music from that time
It's a reality and realities are neutral .
We are here for a reason, this life is a test, we pass it we will be rewarded.
They weren't given much respect at the time, but the Cardigans' music has held up really well over the years.
same for Ivy. but yet, no one really knows about the band.
They had their "war" with Army of Lovers and then the lawsuit vs the Hives so it was not living on easy street for them at the time.
@@mentuemhet Ivy were great, pity they're not a band anymore, the spin off bands are quite good.
This sound somehow awakens the desire to overcome something, overcome barriers, achieve, conquer, win. It is good!!!
I miss the 90s ),:
LexLeo656 not only You😢💋😑😉
LexLeo656 me too real bad
me too :(
Nobody remember the means of be a " freak"
Same
Great blast from the past, Nina is absolutely amazing
The sound, the looks, the style, the amazing minimalistic video. The Cardigans were or are Top Tier music and a Top Tier band. Sounds light years better than music now
I genuinely believe that this track would be a chart topper even in 2019, its just so catchy, who's with me?
Nah!, They're not black, ethnic, urban or X factor knockouts so they wouldn't even make the top 20.
Absolutely. I love it.
only shit becomes a chart topper now
No cos it's not manufactured political agenda driven dog shit
@Boris Paz its freshness never fades.
Such a wonderful song with a hint of charming lure...
I knew this song as a kid, first time I see how beautiful she is.
alot of these 90's rifts will forever be imbedded in my memory.

The Internet Killed Music Riffs*
Maaannnn
We will never escape them.. Because they are simply amazing!
Hey man, you have awesome playlists!
what can give you better nostalgic feelings than music
Driving through the middle of the Moab Desert blasting this at 3 AM. Pure magic!
Before internet and smartphone was vh1 thank you VH1 for good music
And mtv tho..
MTV took a Big'Ol Shit in the 90s
That it definitely did.@@x3r0w07f
I love how Trip Hop influenced a lot of music in the late '90s. One of my favourite tracks ever.
My fav song by the Cardigans! So love this track. So upbeat and uplifting. Can’t help but head bob and toe tap to this. Great video too
Was watching Never Been Kissed and heard this song. Brought back so many memories.
Great song, beautiful singer.
Cristian Murati
and sexy voice! 😗
Swedish girl touch
Nina Persson is the absolutely best singer songwriter in the world EVER and she has the most BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE voice in the world EVER and she's REALLY REALLY CUTE so it's impossible to not like her because she is REALLY REALLY AMAZING just like this song.
Me hubiera gustado haber asistido.
Cómo me hubiera gustado ir! Lástima que estoy al otro extremo del país.
Lamentablemente la gente sólo es público de greatest hits en general. Sólo se quedan con los grupos con temas ultra tocados.
He visto eso varias veces
Fue la guinda de la torta. Lo mejor.
lloré de la emoción cuando los tuve al frente cantando esta canción.

Bueno! Yo solo quería escribir cualquier cosa. Hasta luego!
Man, I had the biggest crush on Nina Persson back in the 90's!
What made you change your mind?
Why is it that "Lovefool" was such a big hit and this one was so obscure?? Hottt stufff!!
I don’t think this was obscure per say, it just wasn’t as big as Lovefool. Good AirPlay on rock stations, not as big as My Favourite Game but still a small hit
This still holds up today as a legit pop classic
I miss so much the 90's. 1999 was a great year. Greetings from San Juan, Argentina.
I just love Nina's voice. Good old days :(
I'm so happy I had the chance to listen to them in the 90s, a decade of some good music before trash and many "musicians- meteora" 🌠🌠
These guys are underrated and the 90's were the best time in modern music.
all music is "modern" at some point during it's life...
The early 2000s had the best music.

The Cardigans
Hey, what did you hear me say?
You know the difference it makes
What did you hear me say?
Yes, I said it's fine before
But I don't think so no more
I said it's fine before
I've changed my mind
I take it back
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
I've changed my mind
So, where did you see me go?
It's not the right way, you know
Where did you see me go?
No, it's not that I don't know
I just don't want it to grow
It's not that I don't know
I've changed my mind
I take it back
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
'Cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
Erase and rewind
I've changed my mind
Thanks pal 😲😀
Thank u
Después de más de 23 años, esta canción sigue sonando como nueva, el vídeo es atemporal
que raro, yo comparto casi la misma edad con el tema
Se ve muy actual
omg listening to this song after so many years, one of my favorites ever!
