Easy Boots

It’s not common to see donkeys shod. However, there are occasions that would warrant shoes. If donkeys are used on rocky ground to pack on a regular basis shoes might be needed. I like to use Easy Boots, especially when doing a lot of down hill trails in rocky country. Going downhill with a load is much harder on a donkey than going up hill because all the weight is concentrated on their front feet.
Easy Boots aren’t designed for a donkey’s hoof, they are designed for horse’s hooves that are more round. So, wrapping the hoof with Gorilla tape will help the boot fit better and protect the hoof.
The word I was looking for was heal bulb.

Thanks for your info, we lived in England where it's wet, wet and wet. Big problems for our donkey. Now we have moved to Spain where it's dry, dry and dry. Easy boots could be our answer.
